Item A Blockchain-Enabled Distributed Advanced Metering Infrastructure Secure Communication (BC-Ami)(Daffodil International University, 2022-07-20) Islam, Nahida; Rahman, Md. Sazzadur; Mahmud, Imtiaz; Sifat, Md. Nur Amin; Cho, You-ZeThe world is facing an urgent need to provide secure communication and data access control in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) because conventional cryptographic key management and authentication protocols are at stake. The cryptography schemes entirely rely on trusted third parties (TTPs), leading to a single point of failure and increasing network overhead. In response to this inefficiency and security compromise, this study proposes a blockchain-enabled distributed AMI secure communication scheme. In the proposed work, smart contract (SC), an integrated part of the blockchain, is programmed to substitute traditional TTP-based transaction systems, which operate in a distributed, immutable, and trustworthy manner. In this paper, we implemented practical Byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) consensus algorithm and Hyperledger Fabric (HLF) blockchain platform to ensure Byzantine fault tolerance in the blockchain transaction. Performance analysis shows that the proposed BC-AMI scheme has the advantage of incurring the least amount of communication and time costs compared with similar studies while ensuring security against some common cyber-attacks.Item Remote Health Monitoring For Critically Ill Patient(East West University, 12/17/2017) Sultana, Farhana; Nila, Maria Yasmin; Islam, NahidaIt’s our fundamental right to get quality Health Care. But now a day’s due to inadequate number of well qualified physician and vast number of population growth it has become very difficult to provide quality Health care services to everyone. So, in this paper we proposed a portable health care device that can be used as wearable or one can easily carry it with themselves that can be used to continuously monitor that patient’s bio status. Our proposed system monitors a patient’s oxygen saturation, blood pressure, blood glucose, body temperature and skin moisture and sends it to cloud. So that Patients with critical health condition can be remotely monitored by their preferred doctor from anywhere. In case of any emergency that doctor and hospital authority will be notified to prevent any loss of life.Item The Impact of Kamala Das’s Poetry on Female Students in the English Department at Daffodil International University: Perspectives on Rights, Awareness, and Identity Formation(Daffodil International University, 2025-08-21) Islam, NahidaThis study examines the impact of Kamala Das’s poetry on the perspectives of rights and awareness among female students in the English Department at Daffodil InternationalUniversity. Kamala Das is a renowned Indian feminist poet, mainly known for her bold portrayal of female hopes, sufferings, desires, and sexuality. Through her poetry, she fights against patriarchal oppression. This study focuses on the direct impact of Kamala Das’s poetry on Bangladeshi female students. While most feminist studies focus on Western perspectives, this study makes a change by focusing on young female Bangladeshi individuals. In this study, I use a mixed-method approach. For this study, I surveyed 20 female students in the English department. The findings of this survey reveal how transformative Kamala Das’s poetry can be. 95% of participants liked Kamala Das’s poetry, and they mentioned that her poetry influenced them to think about personal freedom and question societal expectations. 85% of participants mentioned that Kamala Das’s poetry influences the sense of importance of female empowerment. This survey also reveals the emotional connections between Kamala Das’s poetry and Bangladeshi female students. This study highlights the important role of feminist literature in education. It shows how Kamala Das’s poetry creates an impact on female students to raise their voices against patriarchal oppression and reclaim their own identity and rights. However, this research has limitations, such as the small sample size and the avoidance of nuanced differences between Bangladeshi and Indian contexts. It could not focus on socio-economic perspectives and others. Future studies could expand to fill in all limitations.
