Item Design and Development of Arduino Based IC Tester(East West University, 2018-02-11) Nur, Md. Tanvir; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Raju, Junaid IqbalIn the present world, everything is going to be more developed, attractive and user-friendly. IC’s, the main component of each and every electronic circuit can be used for wide variety of purposes and functions. But sometime due to faulty ICs the circuit doesn’t work. Indeed it is lot tedious work to debug the circuit and confirm whether the circuiting is creating problem or the IC itself is dead. So to come up with these sorts of problems we intend to make a project which would confirm whether the IC under consideration is working properly or not. Hence, the motive of this project is to develop a low-cost, computer independent and user friendly digital logic Integrated Circuit (IC) tester. The logic IC tester will be able to test the function of basic 74 series TTL Logic gates (AND, OR, NOR, NAND, XOR etc.). The logic IC functional tester can be operated in Personal Computer (PC) mode. Arduino IDE has been used to develop the user interface to transmit the instruction from computer to the Arduino through Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface for PC mode. Final result will be displayed on LCD. The logic IC functional tester is successfully built and well functional without any errors. In performance analysis chapter, we have showed the result of different types of ICs after testing those ICs.Item Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome(Scopus, 2021) Rahman, Md Mominur; Ferdous, Kazi Sayma; Ahmed, Muniruddin; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Khan, Md Robin; Perveen, Asma; Ashraf, Ghulam Md; Uddin, Md SahabLamin A/C encoded by the LMNA gene is an essential component for maintaining the nuclear structure. Mutation in the lamin A/C leads to a group of inherited disorders is known as laminopathies. In the human body, there are several mutations in the LMNA gene that have been identified. It can affect diverse organs or tissues or can be systemic, causing different diseases. In this review, we mainly focused on one of the most severe laminopathies, Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS). HGPS is an immensely uncommon, deadly, metameric ill-timed laminopathies caused by the abnormal splicing of the LMNA gene and production of an aberrant protein known as progerin. Here, we also presented the currently available data on the molecular mechanism, pathophysiology, available treatment, and future approaches to this deadly disease. Due to the production of progerin, an abnormal protein leads to an abnormality in nuclear structure, defects in DNA repair, shortening of telomere, and impairment in gene regulation which ultimately results in aging in the early stage of life. Now some treatment options are available for this disease, but a proper understanding of the molecular mechanism of this disease will help to develop a more appropriate treatment which makes it an emerging area of research.Item Machine Learning Algorithm for Student's Performance Prediction(10th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies, ICCCNT 2019, IEEE, 2019-12-30) Hasan, H.M. Rafi; Rabby, AKM Shahariar Azad; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Hossain, Syed AkhterStudent performance prediction is very important to understand a student progress rate. It is said that `Prevention is better than the cure'. In this Research, we are trying to find out student's current status and predict his/her future results. After the outcome, teachers can give him/her proper advice to avoid the poor result and also can groom the student. By finding out the dependencies for final examinations. Which courses he/she should take in the upcoming semester (roles of adviser/teacher). Every year a lot of students lag behind because of lack of proper advice and monitoring. A teacher can't monitor each and every single student at once. If a system can help a Teacher about the students like which student needs which kind of help. Then it will be much helpful for both teachers and student. The aim is helping the student to avoid his/her predicted poor result using Artificial Intelligence. If a student could know what will be his/her result in the future and notify him/her what to do to avoid his/her the bad results by predicting the final examinations mark. This research would be helpful for the students and teachers with The highest accuracy of 94.88%.Item Nanotechnology-based Approaches and Investigational Therapeutics Against COVID-19(Daffodil International University, 2022-05-02) Rahman, Md. Mominur; Ahmed, Muniruddin; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Khan, Md. Robin; Sultana, Sharifa; Maeesa, Saila Kabir; Hasan, Sakib; Hossain, Md. Abid; Ferdous, Kazi Sayma; Mathew, Bijo; Rauf, Abdur; Uddin, Md. SahabSevere acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the novel coronavirus responsible for the current global pandemic, which first emerged in December 2019. This coronavirus has affected 217 countries worldwide, most of which have enacted non-remedial preventive measures, such as nationwide lockdowns, work from home, travel bans, and social isolation. Pharmacists, doctors, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals have played pivotal roles during this pandemic. Unfortunately, confirmed drugs have not been identified for the treatment of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARSCoV2; however, favipiravir and remdesivir have been reported as promising antiviral drugs. Some vaccines have already been developed, and vaccination is ongoing globally. Various nanotechnologies are currently being developed in many countries for preventing SARS-CoV-2 spread and treating COVID-19 infections. In this article, we present an overview of the COVID-19 pandemic situation and discuss nanotechnology-based approaches and investigational therapeutics for COVID-19.Item Quality Assessment of Hydroxychloroquine Tablet: A Comparative Evaluation of Drug Produced by Different Pharmaceutical Companies in Bangladesh(HH Publisher, 2023-07-05) Islam, Md. Raihanur; Hossain, Md. Sakhawat; Hossain, Md. Sanower; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Sultana, Sharifa; Nizhum, Nisarat; Ahamed, Kutub Uddin; Choo, Chee - Yan; Tan, Ching Siang; Goh, Khang Wen"Hydroxychloroquine is the most commonly prescribed antimalarial extensively used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It is extensively utilized as a repurposing drug, as well, in many countries worldwide to treat COVID-19. The pharmaceutical sector of Bangladesh is much enriched, and different pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh produce this drug. Since the drug quality might vary significantly among different brands, assuring the quality PMMB 2023, 6, 1; a00003362of 11of medicine is absolutely necessary considering the health issues, particularly therapeutic efficacy and safety. Therefore, this study examined the quality of hydroxychloroquine produced by Bangladeshi pharmaceutical companies, concentrating on quality control parameters: the assay, dissolution, disintegration, hardness, friability, and weight fluctuation. All the brands of hydroxychloroquine tablets contained the stated amount of API between the range of 96.41±0.62 and 100.61±0.71 that met USP specification (100±5%). All brands met the pharmacopeial limit for the percentage of weight fluctuation, hardness test, friability, and disintegration time. Weight variation was between 0.31±0.01% and 0.46±0.02%, hardness was between 4.31 ± 0.88 and 7.36 ± 0.74 kgf, friability was less than 1%, and disintegration time was 5.42± 0.11 and 5.42± 0.11 min. In the dissolution test, all the samples attained more than 70% dissolution after 30 minutes. The mean percentage of hydroxychloroquine released in phosphate buffer was between 95.44±0.55 (Brand B) and 98.19±0.39 (Brand C) after 60 min. No significant difference wasamong the tested drugs from different companies, and all quality assessment parameters were within USP specifications. Therefore, hydroxychloroquine from the Bangladesh market is safe and effective"Item Stem Cell Transplantation Therapy and Neurological Disorders(MDPI, 2022-01-17) Rahman, Md. Mominur; Islam, Md. Rezaul; Islam, Mohammad Touhidul; Rashid, Md. Harun-Or-; Islam, Mahfuzul; Abdullah, Sabirin; Uddin, Mohammad Borhan; Das, Sumit; Rahaman, Md. Saidur; Ahmed, Muniruddin; Alhumaydhi, Fahad A.; Emran, Talha Bin; Mohamed, Amany Abdel-Rahman; Faruque, Mohammad Rashed Iqbal; Khandaker, Mayeen Uddin; -Hedeab, Gomaa MostafaNeurodegenerative diseases are a global health issue with inadequate therapeutic options and an inability to restore the damaged nervous system. With advances in technology, health scientists continue to identify new approaches to the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Lost or injured neurons and glial cells can lead to the development of several neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. In recent years, neurons and glial cells have successfully been generated from stem cells in the laboratory utilizing cell culture technologies, fueling efforts to develop stem cell-based transplantation therapies for human patients. When a stem cell divides, each new cell has the potential to either remain a stem cell or differentiate into a germ cell with specialized characteristics, such as muscle cells, red blood cells, or brain cells. Although several obstacles remain before stem cells can be used for clinical applications, including some potential disadvantages that must be overcome, this cellular development represents a potential pathway through which patients may eventually achieve the ability to live more normal lives. In this review, we summarize the stem cell-based therapies that have been explored for various neurological disorders, discuss the potential advantages and drawbacks of these therapies, and examine future directions for this field.
