    Assessment of heavy metals and proximate composition in jellyfish (Lobonemoides robustus Stiasny, 1920) collected from Cox's Bazar coast: Human health risk assessment

    Jellyfish are known for experiencing periodic blooms in population, which occur when their density increases suddenly. The present study assessed the level of heavy metals and proximate composition in the jellyfish Lobonemoides robustus collected from Cox's Bazar coast of Bangladesh. This is the first study conducted in Bangladesh. Most of the studied metals were not possible to detect in L. robustus samples because concentrations were below the detection limit. Ca, Na, Se, and Mg were found to have safe levels in the L. robustus while the amount of Pb was recorded 0.39 ppm. The findings of Target Hazard Quotient, and Carcinogenic Risk indicate that the L. robustus is safe for human consumption (both for children and adults). Hence, it is suitable for consumption and can be exported. This study emphasizes the need for regular marine environment monitoring to ensure that the seafood harvested from these waters is safe for consumption.

    Conspiracy Detection by Real Time Email Analysis

    In this thesis, we have proposed a method to turn this psychological concept into a machine that can automatically detect the conspiracy among the employee by analyzing their email data in real time. Here we have proposed the design using vector based classification method for analyzing the text data. We have used TFIDF method to victimization and prioritize the frequency of conspiracy related word and concept. And also we used Logistic Regression, a prediction based classifier to classify the text sentiment. Supervised vector-based methods to sentiment can design rich lexical meanings. This method for machine learning is largely used in present days. Sentiment analysis for online text document has been a burgeoning field of text mining among researchers for the past few decade. Nevertheless and sentiment analysis on Email data, a ubiquity means of social network and communication, has been studied thoroughly. Email has become the most popular communication tools for official purpose. Almost every private company uses their own mail server for exchanging their official mail. So, it has a great significance in terms of business and communication. In the other hand conspiracy is a social concept that has also a great importance and impact over the working place. It is a pure psychological concept. It influences in the progress of any working place.

    Intrgreated Approaches for Accurate Kidney Disease Classification: Leveraging Pre-trained Models and Custom CNN Architectures

    Kidney disease continues to pose significant global health challenges, where early and precise diagnosis remains crucial for effective treatment planning. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks, have opened new possibilities for automated medical image analysis. This study investigates the potential of CNN architectures for kidney disease classification through systematic comparison of a custom-designed three-layer Sequential model against established pre-trained networks including Xception, ResNet50V2, and InceptionV3. The research utilizes a carefully curated dataset comprising 12,446 renal images divided into training (9,963) and testing (2,483) sets across four diagnostic categories: Cyst, Normal, Stone, and Tumor. A robust preprocessing pipeline was implemented, featuring standardized image resizing to 256×256 pixels, intensity normalization, and comprehensive data augmentation techniques including controlled rotation and flipping to enhance model generalization. The proposed CNN architecture was optimized using the Adam algorithm with carefully tuned parameters (learning rate=0.0001, β1=0.9, β2=0.999) and categorical cross-entropy loss function. Experimental results demonstrate the custom CNN's exceptional performance, achieving 99.84% classification accuracy and surpassing all benchmarked models - Xception (98.87%), ResNet50V2 (99.59%), and InceptionV3 (96.12%). The model maintains this high accuracy while exhibiting superior computational efficiency, requiring substantially fewer parameters than its pre-trained counterparts. Additional evaluation of class-specific metrics confirms consistent diagnostic reliability across all pathology types, with particularly strong performance in identifying tumor cases. These findings make important contributions to the field of medical AI by establishing that purpose-built CNN architectures can outperform complex pre-trained models for specialized diagnostic tasks. The study provides a validated framework for renal disease classification that successfully balances clinical-grade accuracy with practical implementation requirements. Future research directions include exploring hybrid architectures and attention mechanisms to further improve detection of challenging cases, as well as investigating multimodal integration for comprehensive diagnostic assessment.

    Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activities of Chromene Derivatives

    The design and synthesis of chalcone and chromene derivatives and their antibacterial activities were studied in this research. Conveniently, all products were synthesized from commercially available acetophenone, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and dimedone. Different synthetic strategies were used to obtain an easily accessible chromene scaffold with appropriate handles. At first, this research work was involved in an efficient procedure for the attachment of 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and acetophenone in the presence of 10% NaOH to produce 3-(4-Hydroxy-phenyl)-1-phenyl-propenone. 4-{3-[(2,4-Dinitro-phenyl)-hydrazono]-3-phenyl-propenyl}-phenol phenylamine has been synthesized by the reaction of 2,4 dinitro phenyl hydrazine with chalcone. Reaction of dimedone with chalcone under refluxing condensation using dry benzene and zinc chloride as a catalyst to give the corresponding chromene derivative 4-(4-Hydroxy-phenyl)-7,7-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4,6,7,8-tetrahydro-chromen-5-one. This reaction also carried out by Microwave Irradiation and use ethanol as a solvent, without any catalyst. It was found that the preparation time for the compounds was reduced from 72 hours to 5-10 minutes during microwave irradiation. The structures of the all synthesized compounds were characterized by their IR, 1H NMR spectral data. The antibacterial and antifungal activity of the compounds was also investigated. The antimicrobial activity of the compounds at concentration 300 μg/disc was performed against three gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes) and three gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, and citobacteria frundi) by Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method using Ciprofloxacin as standard. Antifungal screening was carried out against one fungi (Tricodarma harzianum) using Michonazole as standard. Compound, I, 3-(4-Hydroxy-phenyl)-1-phenyl-propenone exhibits no activity against the tested bacterial strains Bacillus cereus, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Citrobacter freundii, but showed moderate activity against the tested bacteria Staphylococcus aureus having inhibition zone 8 mm and also show antifungal activity aganist Trichoderma harzianum inhibition zone 10mm. Compound, II, 4-{3-[(2,4-Dinitro-phenyl)-hydrazono]-3-phenyl-propenyl}-phenol exhibits no activity against gram negative, gram positive strains but showed antifungal activity against Trichoderma harzianum inhibition zone 6 mm. Compound, III, 4-(4-Hydroxy-phenyl)-7,7-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4,6,7,8-tetrahydro-chromen-5-one showed activity against Gram positive, Gram negative except Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium. This compound, III also showed antifungal activity against Trichoderma harzianum inhibition zone 8 mm.

    Education is a big challenge for third world country like our Bangladesh. Here not every person get enough resource and support for education. Though different type of teaching help is available in lower level of education but it decreases when we go to upper level. When someone is studying in a university and if s/he needs extra help after class there are very limited options for those. This project is a web application named “Teach & Learn”. This application is designed for the assistance of any person specially students who wants to learn anything. Through this application a person will be able to post their question or problem digitally. Another user who may know the answer will answer the question. The need for extra care after class will be eliminated as students will get from help our website. Not only extra care regarding institutional study also extra-curricular study can be done with the help of this application. For example an engineer need to learn some accounting term, he could use this application. This system can bring revolutionary change not only in Bangladeshi education system but also in global education system.

    The impact of talent management practices on employee turnover intentions in Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project: a case study on The Civil Engineers Ltd.

    The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between Talent Management (TM) practices and Employee Turnover intentions at The Civil Engineers Ltd., a Bangladeshi company engaged in construction in the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project. It focuses on examining how TM plays a crucial role in retaining employees in the construction industry. The research outlines essential TM components, which include talent acquisition practices, training and development, performance and career management, and recognition and rewards. Drawing insights from theories like Human Capital Theory, Resource-Based View (RBV) Theory, Social Exchange Theory (SET), few hypotheses developed that relate TM practices to lower turnover intentions. An employee survey is used as the primary method of data collection, and SPSS is utilized for analysis of data. The findings highlight the significance of TM practices in reducing employee intentions to leave, offering valuable information for enhancing employee retention.
