Item A Study to Observe Effect of Ground Soft Storey on Structural Performance of Multistoried R.C.C Buildings(Daffodil International University, 2020-03-20) Islam, Md. Shoriful; Adnan, Md.; Akher, Abdul; Abir, Arnob DasThe rapid growth of urban population and the consequent pressure on limited space have considerably influenced city residential development upward resulting in high rise buildings. Now-a-days majority of the high-rise buildings intend to provide spacious open areas (to provide parking facilities, shops, superstores, other special facilities etc.) at the ground floor for the inhabitants of the residence or other commercial buildings. To facilitate this demand of the building owners, the Structural Engineers design building structures avoiding use of infill walls at the functional area of the ground floor, but maintaining the partition walls in the other floors, which results in an asymmetric structural behavior under service loads. These structures are currently getting special attraction to be analyzed for understanding their structural behavior completely. Keeping this scope in mind, the current study aims to investigate structural behavioral pattern of multistoried RCC buildings to observe ground soft storey effect on these buildings. The study is carried out to analyze ten RCC residential buildings (five with soft storey and the other five without soft storey) by means of numerical finite element analysis software ETABS. A number of structural parameters (base shear, time period, drifts, column reaction forces) have been determined involving load combinations of vertical as well as lateral loads in both directions of building plan. Afterwards, each of these attained outputs have been compared for buildings with soft storey and buildings without soft storey for better understanding. It is observed that, in case of time period and base shear, almost similar values are obtained for buildings with a particular height (for buildings with soft storey and buildings without soft storey). For the cases of support reactions of interior, exterior, or corner columns, the buildings without ground soft storey experiences much higher support reaction compared to those with ground soft stories. Overall, buildings with soft storey have higher storey drift values then those without soft storey. Especially for earthquake loads, the storey drift values of buildings with soft storey vary significantly than those of buildings without soft storey. But for wind loads this, variations is not so prominent. The observations found from the present study addresses several important concerns and it also indicates that more study should be carried out to properly reveal the structural behavior of not only the RCC structures, but also steel and steel-concrete composite buildings, buildings with various slab systems (flat slab, flat-plate slabs, waffle slabs etc.).Item Facial Sentiment Recognition using Convolutional Newral Network(Daffodil International University, 2019-09-12) Ahmmed, Md. In previous researches, there are emotion-based facial expressions to recognized thoughts by used the deep-learning technology. There is current software that posted six emotions, but we apprehend seven emotions and terrible and positives in graphs and percentages. Thus, we identified seven emotions such as Happy, Angry, Fear, Disgust, Sad, Neutral and shock and additionally calculate emotion-recognition ratings into positive, poor and impartial emotions. Then we carried out a software program that presents the person with seven emotions scored and superb and negative emotions. Emotion is a key aspect of men and women's life. However, it is hard to recognize emotions by only using pictorial format or only from the audio format. Individually photo or audio won't give the most accurate emotion. If we blended them then we can get the most accurate emotion. So in this paper, we are going to introduce a notion to blended photo and audio and fetch emotion from them. The picture and audio will be fetched from a video. Also, laptop mastering techniques are used for emotion consciousness from audio and pix and both outputs are mixed to observe the emotion.Item Fortification of Pasta with Centella Asiatica(Daffodil International University, 2018-12-20) Islam, Md. ShorifulPasta is a popular food in many cultures, and its simple ingredient list and ease of preparation make it a quick food option for people around the globe. Pasta sample was fortified with 30% Centella asiatica paste with flours and evaluated against a control made of 100% Semolina flour for cooking quality, texture, color, proximate analysis, and consumer acceptance under sensory Evaluation . Pasta products containing Centella asiatica is a new great look in color Green than Market Macaroni Pasta. Cooking loss of fortified pastas was significantly Green color than raw product and market product was still yellow. Hardness and Adhesiveness of the pasta Noodles increased as the percentage of fortification increased and Cohesiveness was moderately affected during physical (Based on kinetics) test. 30% value added Pasta was found to have the lowest firmness(Eating), as well as having the least acceptability in sensory testing. Pasta was Green with bright in color, the increased addition of Centella asiatica paste. Semolina flour supplementation was found to increase protein, fat, fiber, and ash, content of pasta. All sensory characteristics of pasta variations were deemed acceptable in the sensory study. Pasta had the highest protein content , while maintaining the most overall acceptable color, texture, and sensory scores in comparison with Market control product. Findings reveal that while initial adoption poses challenges such as higher upfront costs, limited supplier options, and institutional resistance the long-term benefits are substantial. These include enhanced risk management, improved supplier relationships, reduced environmental impact, and strengthened social accountability. However, gaps in training, policy alignment, and life-cycle cost analysis limit broader implementation. The research underscores the importance of regulatory reform, capacity-building, and leadership commitment in overcoming barriers. Ultimately, sustainable procurement presents a viable path to achieving resilient, efficient, and socially responsible supply chains in Bangladesh’s NPO landscape.
