    A REPORT ON MARKETING SYSTEM 0F EGGS AT PIRGANJ UPAZILA UNDER RANGPUR DISTRICT

    The present study is an attempt to examine marketing of egg in Pirganj Upazila under Rangpur District. The sample size of the study was 30 which included 10 layer farm owners, 20 egg traders. Data was collected during the month of September 2012. The findings of the study were based on analysis of both primary and secondary data. In egg marketing system, four different channels were identified. The average marketing cost for layer farm owners, aratdar-cum-wholesaler and retailer were Tk.75, Tk.2.71, Tk.39.2 per 100 eggs respectively. The net marketing margin for Aratdar-cum-wholesaler and retailer were estimated at Tk.22.29 and Tk.60.8 respectively. Analysis of market integration showed that all the selected egg markets were well integrated which indicated that the markets were significantly correlated in respect of their price change. The study also identified some problems associated with economic, technical, marketing, social and natural calamities aspects and also suggested measures for these problems.

    A Machine Learning-Based Traditional and Ensemble Technique for Predicting Breast Cancer

    Breast cancer is a physical disease and increasing in recent years. The topic is known widely in the recent world. Most women are suffering from problem of breast cancer. The disease is measured by the differences between normal and affected area ratio and the rate of uncontrolled increase of the tissue. Many studies have been conducted in the past to predict and recognize breast cancer. We have found some good opportunities to improve the technique. We propose predicting the risks and making early awareness using effective algorithm models. The dataset was collected from Kaggle [9]. We have used Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, and K-Nearest Classifier Algorithms. Logistic Regression and Random Forest Classifier were performed well with 98.245% testing accuracy. Other algorithms like Gradient Boosting 91.228%, and K-Nearest 92.105% testing accuracy. We also used some different ensemble models to justify the performances. We have used Bagging, Boosting, and Voting algorithms. To assign the optimal parameters to each classifier, we employed hyper-parameter tweaking. The experimental investigation demonstrated more precise breast cancer forecasts and assessed the outcomes of previous recent studies, with the greatest performance being 99.122% accuracy.

    A Machine Learning-Based Traditional and Ensemble Technique for Predicting Breast Cancer

    Breast cancer is a physical disease and increasing in recent years. The topic is known widely in the recent world. Most women are suffering from problem of breast cancer. The disease is measured by the differences between normal and affected area ratio and the rate of uncontrolled increase of the tissue. Many studies have been conducted in the past to predict and recognize breast cancer. We have found some good opportunities to improve the technique. We propose predicting the risks and making early awareness using effective algorithm models. Our proposed method can be easily implemented in real life and is suitable for easy breast cancer predictions. The dataset was collected from Kaggle. In our model, we have implemented some different classifiers named Random Forest (RF), Logistic Regression (LR), Gradient Boosting (GB), and K-Nearest Classifier algorithms. Logistic Regression and Random Forest Classifier were performed well with 98.245% testing accuracy. Other algorithms like Gradient Boosting 91.228%, and K-Nearest 92.105% testing accuracy. We also used some different ensemble models to justify the performances. We have used Bagging LRB 94.736%, RFB 94.736%, GBB 95.614%, and KNB 92.105% accuracy, Boosting LRBO 96.491%, RFBO 99.122%, and GBBO 98.218% accuracy, and Voting algorithm LRGK with 95.614% accuracy. We have used hyper-parameter tuning in each classifier to assign the best parameters. The experimental study indicates breast cancer predictions with a higher degree of accuracy and evaluated the findings of other current studies, RFBO with 99.122% accuracy being the best performance.

    Activity route map: how it helps the teacher to make an effective classroom environment

    The purpose of this research is to identify the effects of different classroom activities and find how the teachers and learners are involved with different activities. The researcher has investigated four private universities of Bangladesh to collect important information about classroom activity. Moreover, the researcher has collected important information about classroom activity and incorporated it to research findings. In addition, the research has been designed based on distinctive questionnaires for both teachers and students regarding classroom activities as a part of research methodology and findings. On the other hand, the research findings have been analyzed thoroughly to establish the viewpoints of teachers and students. This research also discusses about how a classroom activity can facilitate learners in many ways. It also shows the role of different steps of classroom activities for authentic learning. Overall, this thesis discusses different issues regarding sequencing and mapping the route of a classroom activities.

    An SDN Based Distributed IoT Network with NFV Implementation for Smart Cities

    The Internet of Things (IoT) is an arrangement of connected numerous digital devices usually contained Unique Identifiers (UIDs) and have the capability to exchange data over a network without any human interaction. Another new paradigm Software-Defined Networking (SDN) comes in for the organization and control of the large amount of data produced by IoT devices. It separates the data plane from the control plane of network devices which enables easy configuration and management of those devices. Furthermore, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is emerged to optimize and secure the SDN-IoT network. It enables network devices to be deployed as virtualized components via software. In this research, the authors have proposed an SDN based distributed IoT network with NFV implementation for smart cities. Where smart city is a residential area which utilizes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as IoT network to develop the standard of living of its residents. The integration of NFV in the SDN-IoT network improves the network performance by increasing throughput, and time sequence while mitigating the round trip time as well. Moreover, the authors have used multiple distributed controllers and a clustering scheme to improve load balancing, scalability, availability, integrity, and security of the whole network.

    Automated Toll Collection System

    Due to the expansion of the vehicle transportation system, Jam on toll collection booth is common nowadays & become a serious problem in recent years. Because of increase lots of vehicle and toll are collected by human, lots of time waste is occurring here, so it is essential to design & implement a modern system, which can monitor & collect toll from these vehicles automatically. A system that is able to sense the vehicle and collect toll from the vehicle automatically. So, human toll collector is not needed here and vehicle don’t need to waste time by waiting on toll booth because it will collect toll faster than human toll collector. In our project, we have showed it by interfacing stepper motor, sonar sensor and Arduino Uno microcontroller. When a vehicle arrives, if the car owner has registered RFID card and sufficient balance on his RFID card, he just need to punch it on RFID sensor, the other work will be done by our system automatically like deduct actual toll amount from RFID balance. Also, there will be two sonar sensor to sense the arriving and leaving of the car. So, it will bring automation on barrier which have made by stepper motor. When a car arrives to the toll booth, the first sonar sensor will sense that, car have arrived and sensor will wait for the car to punch RFID card on RFID sensor and start counting the time and if the car owner don’t punch RFID card on RFID sensor because of haven’t any registered RFID card or haven’t sufficient amount of balance on RFID card or any other reason, system have Buzzer that will make a loud sound of alarm to make the car owner alert to punch RFID card or go left for pay manually and a message will show on LCD display named Please Go Left and left sign for the better understand of the car owner, Then it have to go for manual pay and pay the amount of toll with some amount of fine. But, if the car owner has registered RFID card and sufficient amount of balance and punch on RFID sensor, the barrier will rise up by 90 degrees and wait for the car to go and the second sonar sensor will sense the leaving of the car and when it passes away the motor barrier will go down by 90 degrees. Actually, the rise and down of stepper motor barrier will also be automated. So, any human operator isn’t needed here to operate the stepper motor barrier as well as all the system will be automated and reduce time waste on toll booth

    Comparative Study on Grey and Finished Fabric Inspection to Ensure Quality Garments

    This project is on “Comparative Study on Grey and Finished Fabric Inspection to Ensure Quality Garments” Fabric inspection process is most important in Garments sector. If fabric faults is an important parameter for rejection of fabrics. We have collected a large experience about this project. We have increased our knowledge about how the inspection is done, problems of inspection & how those problems are minimized. This study investigated the knit fabric inspection process in a garment industry for the reasons of increasing faults and the priorities were determined for the improvement studies regarding rejection percentage. During data collection, the fabric inspections faults were determined. As a result, the knit fabric production process was concluded statistically. In addition, there was a statistically significant relation the faults amounts in term of rejection. Finally some suggestions are made for improving the quality of fabric inspection by minimizing the fabric inspection faults.

    Converting Heat To Electricity Using Thermoelectric Module

    This paper involves the development of a prototype that uses heat to generate electricity using thermoelectric modules. The electricity is generated using the Seebeck effect. When there is a temperature difference on each side of the thermoelectric module it produces a voltage which is called the Seebeck effect. The power generated from a single module is very small but sufficient power can be generated by coupling this module in series. The Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) module will be used to generate electricity because it is much cheaper and reliable. The TEC works as a Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) that generates electrical energy when one side of the device is heated and the other side is cooled. From a burning candle or other heat sources, a TEC can easily produce 1.25 ~ 1.75 volts with the help of a heatsink on the cooling side. Although the voltage may vary from module to module.

    Design and Performance Analysis of a High-Speed Network Processor

    Network processor is the key architecture of the recent communication technology. Most of the high performance network equipments especially routers, switches and traffic management systems are designed with network processor to processes their network packets. This research work introduces a design architecture for high-speed network packet processor and also analyzes its performance. There are two proposals in this thesis, first is the proposed hardware architecture of a high-speed network processor system and second is the proposed modified architecture of packet processing unit. A hierarchical 4 level layered processing architecture is developed for efficiently process the packets. To capture all traffic from a high-speed I/O interface without any loss a load-balancer with an efficient load distribution algorithm is implemented. High throughput pipelined memory architecture is also developed to minimize the rate of memory access time. The processor units have four basic operational tasks - parse, search, resolve and modify. To design the processing unit, the thesis provides some modification of the Task Optimized Processing core (TOPcore) technology and proposed a modified processing core architecture. This is a super-pipelined parallel architecture. The performance of the proposed network processor is evaluated for some real applications and compared with reference NPs. Results shows that the proposed architecture is efficient and provides better performance. Finally, the design is modeled and simulated in RT level using VHDL and then synthesized to schematic. The synthesis is done for both Xilinx Spartan3 and Actel ProASIC3 FPGA. Design requires very little FPGA logic while efficiently processing packet and implementation of green technology provides saving of power consumption at ideal condition.

    Effect of Admixture on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Recycled Brick Aggregate Concrete

    With the increasing population of the world, the rate of development of infrastructure is increasing day by day; which has placed a massive demand for natural aggregates. Besides, huge amount of demolished construction wastes are generated all over the world which creates pressure on the environment as well as landfills. Therefore, it is necessary to find a sustainable solution to adopt these C&D wastes as an alternative to natural aggregates for construction purposes. Therefore, the objective of the present study is to explore the influence of superplasticizers while adopting recycled brick aggregate (RBA) in the sustainable concrete application as a coarse aggregate. Six different mixes are considered with 100% replacement of recycled brick aggregate and three diverse water-cement (w/c) ratios, such as 0.40, 0.45, and 0.50. To improve the workability and mechanical characteristics of concrete a superplasticizer is used as an admixture. Fresh properties of concrete, compressive strength at normal and high temperatures, flexural strength and splitting tensile strength are presented. The results indicate that addion of superplasticizer improves slump values and reduces air voids of concrete. Although strengths of RBA concrete are lesser than the virgin brick aggregate concrete, they are still satisfactory in the application for structural concrete and can be also significantly improved by incorporating admixture. Finally, this research will help to recycle the brick aggregate instead of dumping it as waste in a landfill.

    Evaluation of Physical, Mechanical, and Durability Properties of Limestone Powder Blended Concrete

    Reducing the amount of cement in construction has become a challenge in the 21st century. In this study, limestone powder (LSP) is adopted to partially replace cement at different weight percentages (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%). The influence of LSP on engineering properties such as workability, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and toughness, water permeability, and surface resistivity is investigated to assess the acceptability of LSP blended concrete and to find the optimum replacement level considering these properties. At low replacement levels (5% and 10%), the mechanical and durability properties are improved due to the nucleation effect of LSP. Beyond 10% replacement, the dilution effect dominates which disadvantages the concrete. The workability linearly rises with the increase in the LSP content. The compressive and tensile strength does not vary much from the control specimen up to a 10% replacement level. The highest compressive and flexural strength is recorded for 10% LSP replacement. Toughness calculated from the beam load-deflection curve showed an increased value with increased LSP replacement. In comparison to the control specimens, 6.4% higher flexural strength and 90% higher toughness index are achieved for 10% LSP. An equation has been proposed using a machine learning approach to predict the tensile strength of LSP blended concrete with 87% accuracy. Water permeability and chloride ion penetrability are reduced for higher LSP content as LSP works as a filler and enhances pore structure. This study summarizes that 10% cement substitution with the LSP can be adopted for overall better mechanical and durability properties of concrete.

    First principles DFT analysis of lead free rb2minx6 double perovskite halides for photovoltaic applications

    Perovskites have emerged as a new superstar in the field of photovoltaics. This group of semiconductors has a wide range of properties that are suitable to be used in a wide range of optoelectronic. The efficiency of perovskite solar cells has greatly increased during the past ten years, and the organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskite foramidinium lead tri-iodide (FAPbI3) has attained a high efficiency of 25.8%. Commercial use of halide perovskites may revolutionize the field of world photovoltaic and energy due to having cheaper, easily available in nature, easy, rapid and low temperature processing, and more efficient than silicon-based technology. But toxicity and insufficient long-term stability are the main barriers to being used commercially in large-scale applications. Finding stable, non-toxic, Pb-free perovskites is therefore crucial for the advancement of perovskites-based optoelectronic technologies. Recent studies demonstrated that the stability and toxicity issues can be solved simultaneously by using lead-free, all-inorganic double halide perovskites. This thesis presents a first-principles Density Functional Theory (DFT) investigations of the structural, electronic, optical and mechanical properties and thermodynamic and mechanical stability of Alkaline and Indium based noble inorganic double halide perovskites group Rb2MInX6 (where, M= Li, Na and K and X= Cl, Br, I). It is found from this study that Rb2LiInX6 perovskites have failed to meet the structural stability criterion imposed by the octahedral factor. First principles study demonstrates that Rb2KInX6 have structural, and thermodynamical stability against decomposition but don’t have mechanical stability. On the other hand, all the Sodium (Na) based perovskites, Rb2NaInX6, have structural, mechanical, and thermodynamical stability against decomposition and show ductile behavior and direct nature in the band gap (3.01 eV for Rb2NaInCl6 1.81 eV for Rb2NaInBr6 and 0.66 eV for Rb2NaInI6). Rb2NaInBr6 and Rb2NaInI6 have strong absorption in the visible range and suitable band gap and electron-effective mass for use in solar cells. Additionally, we have found that Rb2NaInCl6 exhibits strong UV absorption and suitable VBM and CBM energy to function as a photocatalyst in the water-splitting process.

    General Banking of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC – A Study on Shyamoli Branch

    This internship report titled “General Banking of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC – A Study on Shyamoli Branch” has been prepared as a part of the partial fulfilment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree under the Department of Management, Daffodil International University. The report is the result of my three-month internship in the General Banking Department at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Shyamoli Branch. This internship's main goal was to close the knowledge gap between theory and practice by watching and taking part in regular banking activities in a financial institution that complies with Shariah. The main operations of general banking, including account management, remittance services, customer support, documentation, and administrative assistance, are examined in this report. It also provides information on how Islamic banking concepts—like interest-free transactions, profit-sharing schemes, and moral investing—are applied in practical situations. My skills in communication and time management have improved whilst completing internship thatched house of business.I have a working knowledge and experience of performing tasks on core banking software (Coreline) I also gain practical knowledge how operation works and how to interact with client. The report will conclude with the personal reflection on how this experience is used for academic, institutional and personal development. It also criticizes the weakness of the company and things need to improve. Overall, it may be said that this internship was a beneficial learning and informative experience which greatly contributed to the furtherance of my studies and to defining key elements of my future career objectives in Islamic banking and finance

    Low-Cost Rechargeable Battery Using Pencil Graphite as Ion Intercalation / De-Intercalation Electrode

    Remarkable improvement in utilizing renewable energy has pioneered to a critical demand for the large-scale energy storage system considering cost, safety and environmental aspect. Zn/Al-ion batteries are eco-friendly and advantageous over acid or alkali-based batteries as it is possible to utilize Zn metal as the negative electrode in aqueous medium. Here a Zn/Al-ion battery is developed using Pencil graphite, coated with graphene by cyclic voltammetry (CV), as the positive electrode and Zn metal as the negative electrode in an aqueous AlCl3/Zn(CH3COO)2 (0.5/0.5M) electrolyte. The Zn/Al-ion cell shows average discharge voltage plateaus around 1.0 V which offers a specific cathode capacity of ~54.1 mAh g−1 at a constant current density of 55 mA g−1 and exhibits capacity retention of more than ~95.8% over 100 cycles without any formation of dendrite at the negative electrode (Zn). Reversible Al3+ or [Al(H2O)6]3+ ion intercalation/de-intercalation storage process involving graphene coated pencil graphite (positive electrode) during charge-discharge cycling is proposed on the basis of CV, Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis.

For solving this problem and for using modern technology in agricultural sites we tried to develop an android Mobile Application which Language will Bengali. “MODERN AGRI” is an android based Mobile Application. Which is related to our Agricultural sector. Our application has some goals. Determination of crop suitable for land. Which season is best suited for a crop. Complete process of soil formation before crop cultivation. When to use fertilizer on the land and how much fertilizer to use. How to cure and prevent crop germs. Also the current weather in the current location. Various market information will be available to know the price of a crop at this time. There are several steps in the type of crop, the name of the crop and the type of crop. The varieties of the crop include selected crop details, such as crop specific, cultivated areas, time of sowing, harvesting time, prevention of crop diseases and reproduction, fertilizer management etc. We have kept this arrangement for farmers only for fertilizer recommendations. Without knowing about the soil in general, it is very difficult to say. We have collaborated with the Soil Resource Development Institute for this. If a farmer's land is informed in a union of a sub district, its crop type, crop, amount of land and class of land, the farmer will be able to get proper fertilizer recommendations for his land. This Application will more helpful for users. Student and Teachers can collect agricultural data for their purpose.

    Software Development Standards and Software Engineering Practices a Case Study of Bangladesh

    There is an obvious need to research and analyze data that is used software industry in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, there are many IT Companies and increasing day by day. There is less evidence of their usage among software practitioners in Bangladesh. While Bangladeshi software firms have not experienced much in this particular area in comparison to other countries. The main objectives of our study are: i) To understand the software development process uses by the software developer firms in Bangladesh ii) To identify the development practices based on established quality standard and iii) To establish a standardized and compatible process for the development of software for a specific project. It is revealed from this research that software industries of Bangladesh are lacking in the target set for software process and improvement, the involvement of quality control activities, and standardize business expertise practice. This paper investigates the Bangladeshi software industry in the light of the above challenges. The purpose of this study is to investigate which method are used perspectives in Bangladeshi IT companies. The ISO, IP and CMM standard has become a basic part of software development.

This study aims to explore the intricate details of washing faults encountered in denim production, with a particular focus on the unique practices and challenges within Bangladesh's manufacturing landscape. Through an extensive examination that includes industry practices, case studies, and empirical data analysis, this research seeks to systematically categorize and analyze the root causes and impacts of various washing faults, such as color bleeding, fabric shrinkage, seam distortion, and uneven abrasion. By unraveling these complexities, the study not only aims to optimize efficiency and sustainability in denim manufacturing processes in Bangladesh but also seeks to equip industry stakeholders with valuable knowledge and strategies to effectively address washing faults. This comprehensive approach enhances product quality and reduces production waste, thereby promoting innovation and driving positive change in the global denim production industry.

    The Role of Television Programmes in Promoting Political Participation of the Youth in Bangladesh

    Questioning the level of active social and political engagements of youths in Bangladesh, this study has attempted to identify the role of the political contents of STV (News and Talk shows) in boosting youths’ engagements in the social and political arena, concerning the debate of media malaise and mobilization. Mixed method approach has been followed in this study. Questionnaire survey and focus group discussion have been used to collect the data in a purposive mode. The data have been analysed in a qualitative manner, where cross tabulation and insight from the qualitative data have been entangled to draw the findings. The study has revealed that youths of Bangladesh moderately engage in political and social activities. The contents of STV play a relative role in the promotion of their political participation. It has been observed, that political contents of STV are offering political information and cognition to youths, but all the time these matters do not translate into political participation. It seems that youths of Bangladesh are becoming the spectators of public affairs than joining practically. The study has outlined that not only TV contents, but other social and demographic variables like patterns of TV watching, socioeconomic differences, attitude towards politics and overall political culture may intervene the level of political participation of youths. More comprehensive research should be initiated in pursuit of determining the relation of political culture with media–which might be the driving force of political participation. In addition, concentrated study could be initiated regarding the overgrowing media diffusion and its impact on citizens’ engagements in the political arena.
