    Design and Development of Hospital Management System

    The main objective and goal of our project is to provide home delivery of the desired and correct primary treatment to the users who are unable to visit the doctors due to pandemic or lack of time. We have seen that many times people do not get the required treatment on time, but our goal will be to provide proper treatment to the user. We have done a lot of work for this project using atom, where we have loaded web application which is very easy for the users and we have created it in a very interesting way. Science our project is web based; it will need an internet connection to run. When you open the application, it will take you to home page, blood, ambulance, and covid-19. Data received from the users is stored in a database at the end of the process, which we can operate with SQL, MySQL. Our project will be able to save all the information of the user such as name, address, email, phone number. Anyone can access our web application and get the treatment and also ambulance number in case of an emergency. Our web application will always try to meet all your needs properly.

    Eco-Friendly and Cost-Effective Self-Compacting Concrete Using Waste Banana Leaf Ash

    The requirements of higher cement content and numerous admixtures in self-compacting concrete (SCC) yield a comparatively high production due to the high cement consumption that limits its use in everyday construction. As a result, it is prudent to consider alternatives for decreasing the environmental effects while producing a cost-effective SCC. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the fresh mechanical, durability, and microstructural characteristics as well as the environmental impacts of self-compacting concrete (SCC) incorporating waste banana leaf ash (BLA) to determine the optimum percentage of BLA. Concrete mixtures with 10%, 20%, and 30% OPC substitutions were investigated. Test findings revealed that all the fresh mixes performed within the EFNARC (2002) recommended limit. Despite the fact that increasing concentrations of BLA reduced the mechanical properties, concentrations of up to 20% BLA demonstrated strength comparable to the control mix. Furthermore, chloride ion penetration increased to 4%, with 20% BLA replacement falling into the moderate ion permeability zone. Finally, a relatively lower CO2-eq (maximum 29.13% reduction) per MPa indicates a significant positive impact due to the reduced Global Warming Potential (GWP).

    Influence of Family Setting on Juvenile Delinquents in Bangladesh

    Juvenile delinquency is one of the most serious problems in Bangladesh now-a­days.So, it deserves our undivided attention. Without systematic knowledge and analysis of the problem legal control measures alone can make a little progress. Upgrading juvenile justice system and laws, and setting up correctional centers are important for ensuring the rights of the juvenile but it makes little sense to suggest remedial programs if there is no understanding of the ways in which families foster delinquency. In this study, the researcher has attempted to explore in detail, how the features of family setting create the background of delinquency. For an adequate and critical analysis of the subject, few theories such as: ecological theory by Clifford R. Shaw and Henry D. McKay, social conflict theory by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, social control or bonding theory by Travis Hirschi, differential oppression theory by Robert Regoli & John Hewitt and social learning theory by Albert Bandura are discussed that provide rational or logical explanations of delinquency as well as which preserve close relevance with the research problem. However, the present study is primarily a quantitative and qualitative data based study. So, the mixed method has been used. The data has been collected from both primary and secondary sources. Primary data has been collected from the juvenile delinquents of SUKs, guardians, officers of SUK.s and related NGO workers. A total of 108 respondents were selected through simple random sampling method from Shishu Unnayan Kendra, Pulerhat, Jashore. Different methods such as interview, focus group discussion and case study were used in data collection. Besides primary data, official documents of the Government and Non-Government organizations, research reports, books, published and unpublished dissertations, articles, journals, newspapers, etc., concerning juvenile delinquents have been used as secondary sources of data. In the present study it was seen that most of the delinquents came from lower incomefamilies. It proved that they felt stressed to achieve their goals. Especially theft and dacoity were direct results of financial constraints. Besides, they had no healthy recreational opportunity inside the family; they didn't get pocket money to meet their desires. Moreover, in case study some respondents told the researcher that financial constraints forced them to commit delinquency. In analysis, another theme which emerged as an explanation to juvenile's problematic behavior was parental laxity in supervisory roles. Young children were generally inept of looking after themselves, and incompetent in making informed decisions for their own well-being. For this reason, they required supervision, or at least some guidance or advice by their parents or another adult. In many cases it was found that parents were very much indifferent to their children's bad company, schooling or any kind of bad affairs. Family feud was one of the most important findings in this study.

    Mechanical and Microscopic Investigation of Concrete Incorporating Ceramic Waste Powder as Partial Replacement of Binding Material

    Concrete is the most important construction material in construction industry. The ceramic industry generates large amounts of pozzolanic clay wastes every year in Bangladesh and worldwide. So far massive parts of ceramic wastes (CW) are directly dumped into the landfills. Reusing the ceramic wastes in concrete would be the sustainable solution. Also, it leads to avoid the environmental problems related to landfill wastes. Generally, two types of ceramic wastes are found in the ceramic industry such as white and red ceramic waste. This study investigates the mechanical properties and microscopy of concrete incorporating the ceramic waste powder as partial replacement of cement. In this research work, chemical composition by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis, compressive strength test, splitting tensile strength test, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were conducted on cement and partially replaced ceramic waste powder (CWP) concrete. The partial replacement proportions of cement by CWP were 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Ceramic wastes powders have been made by ball machine to conduct XRF analysis, mechanical and microscopic investigation. Total 195 cylinders have been made to perform mechanical properties in this research, where 117 cylinders were used for compressive strength test and 78 cylinders were used for splitting tensile strength test. Specific samples have been prepared to conduct microscopic investigation i.e. XRD and SEM analysis. The XRF analysis illustrated that the SiO2 and Al2O3 exist in ceramic powder (both red and white) which is almost twice that of cement. The XRF analysis of red and white ceramic powder provided satisfactory results compared to ASTM specification of Portland cement, fly ash, slags and control cement. Analyzing and illustrating the compressive strength test and splitting tensile strength test results, the CWP concrete provides satisfactory mechanical properties. The most favourable proportion in concrete for red and white ceramic waste powder were found 20% and 15% of partial replacement of cement respectively. The partially replaced CWP concrete presented satisfactory results up to most favourable mix proportions considering modulus of elasticity, stress-strain diagram and Poisson’s ratio of cement concrete, although, the modulus of elasticity calculated by ACI and ASTM methods have minor variations. The alite and tobermorite is the most dominating compound found in the XRD analysis of CWP concrete samples. Based on the XRD investigation, it was revealed that the intensity of alite and tobermorite of CWP concrete is greater than control specimen. From the SEM analysis, it was observed that with the increase of curing ages the alite was hydrated, tobermorite developed and jointly formed a continuous matrix. The density of the surface morphology was very denser of red and white CWP concrete than cement concrete samples. The red CWP concrete specimens were denser and compact having lesser microcracks than cement and white CWP concrete. Therefore, this study revealed that the ceramic waste powder (CWP) provides better performance and hence, it can be used in concrete as partial replacement of binder (cement) up to certain proportion. Also, reusing the ceramic wastes in concrete industry would be the win-win solution considering the costs of cement production and environmental related problems.
