Item A Survey on Proportion and Consequence of Self-Medication of Anti-Ulcer Drugs Among Undergraduate Student(Daffodil International University, 23-05-08) Islam, MD. RakibulGastric ulcers are a common health problem that affects millions of people worldwide. They are characterized by the formation of open sores on the lining of the stomach or small intestine, and can cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Anti-ulcer drugs are commonly used to treat gastric ulcers, but their prevalence and consequences of use among undergraduate students are not well understood. This survey paper aims to investigate the prevalence and consequences of anti-ulcer drug use among undergraduate students. The study was conducted among 100 undergraduate students from various universities using a selfadministered questionnaire. The findings of the study showed that a considerable number of undergraduate students have used anti-ulcer drugs, with a majority using antacid and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) as the most commonly used type. The main reasons for use were acidity, heart burn, chest pain, sour stomach. Some students reported experiencing adverse effects such as vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. Overall, this study highlights the need for education and awareness campaigns targeted towards undergraduate students regarding the risks and benefits of anti-ulcer drug use.Item Design Proposal of an Automatic Smart MultiInsect (Mosquito) Killing System(IEEE, 2019-10-17) Zeyad, Mohammad; Ghosh, Susmita; Islam, MD. Rakibul; Ahmed, S.M. Masum; Biswas, Prodip; Hossain, EftakharThe aim of this work is to create an automatic and low-cost mosquito killing device which will help to save human life from mosquito bite which is responsible for creating non-invented medicine diseases. This paper illustrates an idea of simple but smart mosquito catching window system. Due to the electrocution between the mesh structures of the device, mosquitoes as well as insects will be instantly killed when they will try to make their way through the window. Compared to available mosquito killing bat in the market, this system will hold up very low voltage that is enough to kill mosquito and concurrently not harmful for human being. This process uses microcontroller, ATmega328p that receives data from the adapter and helps to measure the input current and voltage which is displayed in an LCD Display (16*2) by using a logic algorithm code. It also consists of a power supply unit which is mainly used to charge the battery. The controls are made by a mini switch and have one LED power indicator.
