Much work has been done to ascertain the impact of the various types of appeals (rational, fear, and guilt), and degree of customer involvement on consumer responses to various messages. This research represents a robust study conducted on the impact of messages pertaining to a greener environment on the population of Dhaka City. A structured questionnaire was sent out to 400 respondents within the periphery of Dhaka City. It has been observed that the dependent variable, consumer attitude towards green messages is related to the different appeals of the messages that they are exposed. In addition, it has also been found that consumers attitude towards green messages is influenced by their degree of involvement pertaining to various environmental issues.Item Analysis of modulation and coding scheme for 5th generation wireless communication system(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2017) Al Amin, A.,; Basak, D.,; Khadem, T.,; Hossen, M.D.,; Islam, M.S.Advancing in communication technology, 5th Generation Wireless Communication System is playing a significant role. The 5th Generation wireless communication system involves different types of coding and modulation schemes for the better performances and efficient outputs. This paper analyzes the different coding schemes and modulation techniques and compares between them. The performances have been compared between the Turbo and Viterbi Coding Schemes. And the modulation techniques have been compared between QPSK and QAM modulation techniques. The QAM modulation scheme will be used for the users closer to the BTS (Base Transceiver Station). And QPSK modulation technique will be used for the users closer to the border of the cells. For both of the modulation techniques, both the coding schemes have been used and performances have been compared. Finally for all the modulation schemes, Viterbi Coding techniques (Convolutional Encoding and Viterbi Decoding) have proved its efficient performances in use.Item Analyzing factors that affect green purchase behavior: From the context of Bangladeshi consumer(2016-10) Jamal, Z.B.; Islam, M.S.; Barua, P.Across the globe acceptance of green products are increasing. This paper investigates and tries to understand the purchase behavior of green products of Bangladeshi consumers. In this study quantitative approach has been used. SOOand 7S0 mg/kg body weight respccnvely for' weeks. On day O. 7. 14 and 21 blood samples were collected and blood glucose level was determined using diabetic kit. The blood glucose level was reduced from 117.5 ± 10.61096.1 ::: 2.4. 18.3.5::: 9.410 101.3 ± 2.5 and 178.6 ± 7.71091.1 .t 1.4 and the average body weight were increased from 257.6 ± 6.3 to 288.1 ± 2.5. 254.3 ± 10.7 to 282.5 ± 8.8 and 257.5 ± 9.0 to 286.8 ± 7.3 in group C. D. E. respectively after J weeks of treatment. Moreover. blood cholesterol level was reduced from 177.5 ± 10.6 to 96.1 ± 2.4. 183.S ± 9.4 to 101.3 ± 2.S and 17f!.o ± 7.7 to 91.1 ± 1.4 in group C. D. E. respectively after 3 weeks of treatment. It is suspected that, climate change will lead frequent occurrence of compound climate extremes in future, which may result in greater destructions compared to those caused by individual extremes alone. Hence, it is of particular interest to predict the future climate more precisely. In this study our effort was to improve the understanding the effects of climate change on future compound climate extremes, the trends, variabilities and seasonal patterns. Here, we have evaluated CMIP5 and CMIP6 models from the high resolution bias corrected CORDEX data, and the best performing data sets (CanESM2, CSIRO and GFDL) were selected for the future climate change analysis. Using both RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenarios for 2021–2060, and 2061–2099 period, significant upward trends were projected for the daily maximum and minimum temperatures. However, rainfall pattern showed more complex criteria for the future. The current study revealed that the warm and cold spell, as well as the wet and dry spell characteristics will be altered in the future. The joint analysis of future temperature and rainfall anomalies using copulas revealed two folds effects of climate change on the local hydrology. Projected decrease of rainfall while increase of temperature during the pre-monsoon season will potentially cause water scarcity. On the other hand, increase of extreme rainfall during the monsoon will complicate the waterlogging problems in Chattogram region. In this study, we have identified the time and the extent of combined temperature and rainfall anomalies, that can amplify the adverse impact on the hydro-climatology of Chattogram City. K.; Islam, M.S.; Chowdhury, S.; Sen, S.; Miah, M.B.A.; Bahar, A.N.A single-mode square photonic crystal fiber (S-PCF) for the wide-band dispersion compensation at the wavelength interval 1340 to 1640 nm over the telecommunication windows is represented. In the numerical analysis of several guiding properties of the photonic crystal fiber (PCF), a finite-element method has been applied over the entire wavelength band. According to the investigation, the proposed PCF is strongly single-mode, has an ultra-high negative dispersion coefficient of about −1732.10 ps/(nm · km) at an operating wavelength of 1550 nm, and is perfectly applicable to optical transmission systems. The single-mode behavior of the S-PCF is examined by applying the 𝑉 parameter. By the exquisite dispersion analysis, this fiber is more robust for obtaining the ultra-high negative dispersion, which gains more promiscuous as compared to the prior best results. For high-speed transmission systems, such fibers are effective as compensating the dispersion and maintaining a single polarization, as well as in fiber loop mirrors and many other applications like the four-wave mixing.
