    Design And Implementation Of An Arduino Based Solar Powered Weather Station

    Weather is the state of the atmosphere and is a very essential part of human life. An important thing like living in a place or scientific experiments depends on weather of that particular area or state or room. For these, people need atmospheric measurements of temperature, humidity, pressure etc. and this information is providing by weather stations. This paper describes the approach to set up a weather station based on Arduino. The main attributes of this weather station is to measure the surrounding atmospheric readings of weather. These readings will be collected by some sensors which are temperature and humidity sensor (THD), barometric pressure sensor. A wifi module is also used in this weather station to maintain a connection to the internet to get more informations like sunrise, sunset, rainfall and wind speed. All these readings will be displayed on a LCD display and every steps of this station is directed by an arduino mega microcontroller. A matrix keypad is used in here to help the users to view the readings of current weather update, predictions of today and tomorrow easily. Also this weather station is powered by solar panel.

    Design Of Robust Pss In Multimachine Power Systems Using Dragonfly Algorithm And Jellyfish Search Algorithm

    In interconnected power system networks, due to the weak tie lines between the generators, low frequency oscillations (LFO) are introduced into the system. LFOs have been a serious concern for engineers for decades, as they cause the system to be unstable by reducing the damping torque if LFOs are not damped out rapidly. This thesis represents two new methods of modeling robust power system stabilizers (PSS) for multimachine networks using the dragonfly algorithm (DA) and jellyfish search algorithm (JSA). The proposed methods dampens LFOs by modifying the key parameters of traditional lead-leg type power system stabilizers (CPSS) using the DA and JSA optimization methods. For both models, maximizing the minimum damping ratio is considered as the objective function. These models are evaluated on a two-area four-machine network and an IEEE-39 bus network that are subject to a 3-ϕ fault. For the same networks, the results are compared to backtracking search algorithm (BSA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO). Comparative study shows that the DA and JSA based models gives better system damping performance compared to BSA and PSO optimized methods, which demonstrates that the proposed models are reliable and robust.

    Development of an Android Application for Online Service Booking System

    Our project is on “Development of an Android Application for online service Booking System”. This is an android based application. This application needs an android device to run and this application is a community platform there have four features those are To-Let, Car, Free space, Tutor. This application is more user friendly and that user can easily find out the features what they need by their smart phone. In the development of this application the most essential elements were computer, an android device and an android application development tool. The development of this application is described in the project report. Using this application user will also get lot of facilities. After development session of this application we have tested it by different user and found it to be a well build application which works perfectly.

    INCIDENCE OF INSECT PESTS COMPLEX OF BARI MOTOR -1 (PISUM SATIVUM) AND THEIR MANAGEMENT

    The experiment was conducted in the central farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207 during the period from November, 2014- March, 2015 to incidence of insect pest complex of BARI motor -1 and their management and their impact on natural enemies. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications and five treatments applied at 7 days interval. The treatments were T1: Mechanical and Cultural practices at 7 days interval, T2: Mechanical control and spraying Ripcord 10EC @ 1.0 ml//L of water at 7 days interval, T3: Spraying Suntaf 50SP @ 1.5 g/L of water at 7 days interval, T4: Spraying Topgan 10EC @ 1.0 ml/L of water at 7 days interval and T5: Untreated control. The result reveled that among different treatments Mechanical control and spraying of Ripcord 10EC @ 1.0 ml//L of water at 7 days interval was most effective in reducing the incidence of insect pests of BARI motor-1 and leaves infestation by white fly, aphid, and epilachna beetle (5.73 , 4.76 and 5.39%respectively) and in reducing pod infestation by number at early, mid and and late pod development stage caused by pod borer the lowest infestation (3.06, 4.23 and 5.00 % respectively) whereas the highest infestation (11.97, 13.75 and 14.81% respectively) was observed in T5. As the best treatment, it reduced the highest level of pod infestation conversely it increased the maximum level of plant and pod related yield attributes, that is T2 increased the maximum height (cm), number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pod, and weight of 100-seeds (g) (50.94, 50.47, 5.27 and 17.15 respectively) of pea over control followed by Spraying Suntaf 50SP @ 1.5 g/L of water (49.04, 47.53, 5.07 and 16.63 respectively) and Topgan 10EC @ 1.0 ml/L of water (49.67, 48.47,5.13and 16.22 respectively). T2 also had the highest pod yield (2.09 t/ha) followed by T1, T3, and T4 (2.00, 2.02.and 1.987 t/ha).Considering the impact of management practices on the population of natural enemy, T2 had adversely affected and reduced the highest population of adult ladybird beetle and field ant (83.10% and 80.00% respectively) over control followed by T3 (73.70% and 78.60%) Though, T2 reduced the highest level of insect pests infestation of BARI motor-1 and including other chemical treatments, conversely they mostly harmful to the beneficial arthropod biodiversity in the pea ecosystem by reducing the maximum level of the natural enemy population than any other newer insecticides which were comparatively safe, and would be fit well into the management of insect pests of BARI motor-1.
