Item EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME INSECTICIDES TO CONTROL BRINJAL SHOOT AND FRUIT BORER (Leucinodes orbonalic Guenee)(Department of Entomology, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, 2006-12) ISLAM, MD. RASHEDULAn experiment was conducted at the Sher-e-l3angla Agricultural University, Bangladesh during December 2005 to May 2006 to evaluate some insecticides for their efficacy to control brinjal shoot and fruit borer (Leucinodes orbonabs Guenee). The study comprising five treatments including a control and laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCE3D). Among the treatments, T3 (Marshal 20 EC applied at 28 (lays after transplanting and repeated at 7 days interval) performed best results in terms of reduction of shoot infestation, fruit inibstation and infestation intensity, as well as yield protection. It ensured 65.18% reduction in shoot infestation over control and had only 2.74% shoot infestation. Maximum reduction in fruit infestation (95.38%) was obtained in 'I'3 over control. It also ensured the highest yield of 24.55 t/ha with maximum increase (163.75%) of healthy fruit yield, this was lollowed by T.I. 17 and T1 giving significantly lower yield such as 21.95 tlha, 21.25 i/ha and 19.44 i/ha respectively having no significant difference in 12 with Ii and T, with '14 where the control was 15.88 t/ha. The infested fruit belonging to Scale 4 was nil and Scale I was 50.00% in 'l'3. While those belonging to Scale I was 47.06%. 44.44% and 41.18% in T. T1 and 12 respcctively as against 12.50% to Scale 4 and 37.50% to Scale I in control. The Benefit Cost Ratio (13CR) was the highest (21.33%) in case of 'l'.i which was much higher than all other treatments.Item PERFORMANCE OF BLACKGRAM (VIGNA MUNGO L.) IN PRESENCE AND ABSENCE OF BRADYRHIZOBIUM(Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University., 2011-06) ISLAM, MD. RASHEDULThe experiment was conducted at the net house of Soil Science Division of Bangladesh Agricultural Research institute (BARI), Joydebpur, Gazipur-170l during the period from September to December 2011 to study the performance of three blackgram varieties with and without Bradyrhizobium inociulant. There were 15 treatment combinations and 3 replications were laid out in 45 pots in the experiment arranged in factorial randomized complete block design. The Bradyrhizobium strains of blackgram BARI RVm-301, BARI RVm-302, BARI RVm-303 and mixed culture along with a uninoculated control were used for the above experiment. The selected varieties were BARI Mash-I, BARI Mash-2 and BARI Mash-3. All the varieties showed better performance in presence of Bradvrhizohium inoculation. Among the three varieties. BARI Mash-2 gave the highest seed yield. Bradyrhizobium strains performed better than uninoculated treatment in respect of different parameters like nodule number and weight, root weight and shoot weight, root length and shoot length, pod length and pods plant". Bradvrhizobium inoculation significantly increased nodule number and weight, seed yield, stover yield, plant height. 1000-seed weight, pods plant", seeds pod". N content in seed and stover, N uptake by stover and seed. Among the three strains and mixed culture, strain BARI RVm-302 gave the highest nodule biomass and seed yield. Interaction effects revealed with BARI Mash-2 inoculated with mixed culture gave the highest seed yield and N uptake while non-inoculated BARI Mash-I gave the lowest seed yield.Item SEROLOGICAL STASUS OF NEWCASTLE DISEASES VIRUS (NDV) IN COMMERCIAL LAYER CHICKEN IN PABNA DISTRICT(HAJEE MOHAMMAD DANESH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, DINAJPUR., 2017-06) ISLAM, MD. RASHEDUL; Dr. Md. Fazlul HoqueBangladesh is an agro-based developing country. Poultry, the sub-sector of agriculture plays an important role in its economy. ND causes huge economic losses to the commercial poultry farmers around the world including Bangladesh. This research work was conducted to screen out the serological status, as well as immune status of commercial layer chicken against Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) in selected area of Pabna District, Bangladesh. From 25 different commercial layer farms, a total of 200 serum samples were collected and divided into three age groups such as 20–35 weeks, 36–47 weeks and 48 to above weeks. Haemagglutination Inhibition (HI) test was performed and Geometric Mean Titers (GMT) were calculated for layer groups of 20–35 weeks, 36–47 weeks and 48 to above weeks of age. SPSS software and logarithm table was used to analyze the recorded data. It was observed that out of 200 samples, all were found positive for specific immunity to ND virus with overall positive percentage of 100. However, in terms of age of the layer chickens, there was no significant differences (P>0.05) in specific immunity. Antibody titer against ND was between Log25 to Log210 reveals layer chickens of Pabna district had protective level of antibody. It was also observed that Geometric Mean Titre (GMT) of antibody level of commercial layer birds of Pabna district was also significantly differed (P<0.05) among the different age groups and it was highest in the layer chickens of 48 to above weeks of age (8.81), than the layers of 36-48 weeks of age (8.08) and the layers of 20-35 weeks of age (7.58). This was may be due to the more time exposure to the vaccination and natural infection of the more aged layers. Though all chickens (100%) showed positive specific immunity, good mean titers that was protective to ND, still the chickens remained susceptible to ND due to stress and different immune suppressive diseases, as well as cross infection between different strains of NDV, which needs further study and vaccination should be intensified with multi strain vaccine by screening immune status of the flock against ND.Item Untitled(Daffodil International University, 2018-12-01) ISLAM, MD. RASHEDUL; ISLAM, NAYEM; BABU, MD. MOHIUDDINThis project “Tour Mate” is an Android Application to make tourism easy and comfortable. By using this application, a user can take the taste of his/her journey without any worries. In this application, both a traveller and a tourist can get useful suggestion about tourism places through google map, get direction and even can get cost information and more nearest tourism places. A user can create event from this application which will allow the user to add more people who are interested to join in their journey. To make the journey more memorable, there is an option called “Moments” where the user can upload any photo related to that trip. This application can share it’s saved Event through a process of QR code scanning. This application works both online and offline. So, there’s no worries to get any service provider’s data plans. By using this application, a user can get always into an early declared badged. This project will help the user to explore the world with less worries and it helps the user to abstain from over expense and it will work as a local guide. We have developed our android application by using JAVA, Socket programming, XML and Firebase.
