    An Appraisal of Customer Servic and the Queue Management of Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank, Dhaka Main Branch

    This report on “An appraisal of customer service and the Queue management of Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank, Dhaka main branch” aims to contemplate the knowledge and experience complied from the internship program at standard chartered Grindlays bank ltd. In this brief period of 12 weeks, I had the opportunity to work hand in hand with the professionals in one of the biggest multinational banks in the country.In the organization part of this report, the background of Standard Chartered Grindlays bank. Organization structure, their management practice, and their products and services have discussed The customer’s service activities and the satisfaction level of customers have discussed in the overview of customer service part. Every day activities of customer’s service department and their handling of various quries have thoroughly discussed. A survey has conducted and the pattern of the survey, sample size and design, methodology, analysis and the finding to measure the customer satisfaction level have also discussed here along with graphs. A structured questionnaire was provided to the customers to compare the SCGB with a virtual ideal bank. In the appraisal of queue management part of this report, the present techniques to manage the queue, new queue management techniques, and if the new techniques are implemented then what may be happened have thoroughly thrashed out. In the part of problem of customer service and queue management, the problem relating to customer service and the problem relating to queue management have discussed with specific points. Problem faced by the customers to get the services and service providers of customer service and tellers of the bank faced problems to provide services have also considered. The suggestion discussed in the suggestions for the development of customers service and queue management techniques part of the project, will enable the bank personnel’s to re-establish and re-arrange their administrative setting, and thus ensure higher customer satisfaction and flawless banking performance.

    Appropriateness of service courses at East West University

    Students enrolling at East West University reportedly face difficulties to cope with teaching their text and reference books. As the books and the medium of instruction and examination are in English many students fail it difficult to manage. In an attempt to overcome or at least case the problem of linguistic complexity of the students, East West University introduces 4 English courses Eng 099 Remedial English, Eng 100-spoken English, Eng 101-Basic English, Eng 102- Composition and Communication skills.These are the courses, here it is known as “service course’. This thesis is concerned in seeking out the appropriateness of the service course. According to the office of the Department of BBA at East West University, 1874 students completed service courses from the department last year (spring 2005, summer 2005, and fall 2005).     Bangla fake news identification using deep learning and machine learning

    Identification of Bangla Fake News is very challenging, mostly when there is so much news from multiple online sources like social media, online news, and other online platforms. Detecting fake news is comparable in significance to eliminating crime from society. In this era of digital communication, the ease of spreading violence and manipulating public perception has reached unprecedented levels. Genuine news is frequently distorted into fake narratives for personal motives. In our daily lives, where we extensively utilize online platforms for various purposes, the relentless bombardment of fake news has become pervasive. To safeguard our well-being, it is imperative to put an end to this toxicity, and the key to achieving this lies in the detection of fake news. My research is centered on addressing this crucial aspect. I endeavored to construct a framework for detecting false news, utilizing a significant dataset consisting of Bengali news information sourced from diverse online outlets. Employing both approaches in machine learning and as well as deep learning, this study revealed notable outcomes. In this study we used models such as Bidirectional GRU Model, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) + Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) + GlobalMaxPooling1D layers (Hybrid Model), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and 1D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The Bidirectional GRU Model exhibited the highest accuracy of 99.13%. Despite facing limitations due to the performance constraints of our device, our research lays the foundation for developing an application dedicated to distinguishing between fake and authentic news.

    Digital Meeting is an electronic meeting system in a paperless environment which is much more than traditional face to face paper-based meeting. Designed to elevate transparency and practice good governance, it provides features that are meant to streamline the entire meeting process – from pre-meeting preparation all the way to meeting proceedings. As a paperless meeting solution, it saves money on printing costs, reduces preparation time, and meets sustainability targets. Available on all platforms it allows decision-makers to access documents anytime and anywhere through the web app and protect Confidential Information. As it automates a phase of meeting from start to finish which contains all the meeting info like previous meetings, upcoming meetings and ongoing meetings. Here two levels of users. One is admin and the other is user. The admin will do all the entire works in this system from scheduling meetings, creating agenda, setting access level, inviting participants to publish meeting as pre-meeting preparation. While during meeting process admin will start the meeting, open agenda and discuss them with real time annotation sharing with providing live discussion and live document presentation. After ending meeting as post meeting distribution admin can export meeting minutes and keep an action tracking system to track the action items raised during meetings. On the other side participant user provided with meeting code and they will access the meeting pages and view agenda while admin starts the meeting and if they are authorized to do live commenting by admin, they can also discuss among them about the agenda through live chat. In the future, further data analytics can be implemented to improve the prediction.

    Disease Prediction: The Role of Explainable Machine Learning for Lungs Cancer

    Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, highlighting the urgent need for improved diagnostic and prognostic tools. The identification and prognosis of lung cancer may be improved by recent developments in machine learning. The lack of interpretability in classic machine learning models, however, prevents them from being widely used in clinical settings. Explainable AI (XAI) tools, which provide insights into the decision-making processes of models, overcome this problem. This paper explores the application of explainable machine learning approaches to improve the detection and prediction of lung cancer. Our results demonstrate how explainable models can provide physicians with valuable information while increasing diagnosis accuracy. A potent tool for enhancing the identification and prognosis of lung cancer is machine learning. The analysis of histopathological images for precise cancer classification has shown significant promise thanks to recent developments in deep learning algorithms. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been shown in studies to have the ability to identify between benign and cancerous lung tissue with high accuracy. For example, a research that used CNNs to diagnose lung cancer on digital pathology images had accuracy rates of over 97%. Traditional machine learning models, however, frequently lack interpretability, which makes it challenging for physicians to comprehend the logic behind the predictions despite their remarkable success. This restriction has made it more difficult for AI to be widely used in healthcare contexts. Researchers have resorted to explainable AI (XAI) methods in order to tackle this problem. XAI techniques seek to increase the transparency of AI models by offering insights into their decision-making processes.

    Graph based Automatic Breast Tumor Classification Through Ultrasound Images by Radiomics Features

    Breast tumor a common and devastating cancer in women, poses significant challenges in both diagnosis and prognostication. In this study, we aim to enhance the classification of breast tumor by breast ultrasound image data and a comprehensive set of medical features extracted through the PyFeats framework. Breast tumors, with their varied manifestations and harmful effects, necessitate an advanced approach for accurate classify. This study focuses on the extraction of nine distinct medical features: First Order Statistics, Gray Level Difference Statistics, Statistical Feature Matrix, Gray Level Run Length Matrix, Gray Level Size Zone Matrix, Higher Order Spectra, Local Binary Pattern, Discrete Wavelet Transform, and Stationary Wavelet Transform. These features are meticulously computed based on tumor annotation, offering a detailed characterization of breast tumors and their intricacies. To further improve the accuracy of tumor classification, we employ various machine learning and deep learning algorithms. Notably, we introduce the Radiomic Graph Network model, specifically designed for graph-based data, where nodes symbolize entities and edges signify the intricate relationships between them. The core objective of the GGN model is to generate low-dimensional vector representations (embeddings) for nodes within the graph, preserving the underlying structural and relational information. The innovative GNN model significantly enhances our ability to discern between different tumor tumor classify with greater precision. The novel GNN model mechanism outperformed the existing methods that consider the state of the art in breast tumor based on medical features utilizing 2 stages of breast ultrasound image dataset (BUSI).

    Improvement of Elastic Property of Circular Weft Knit Three-Thread Fleece Fabric by Changing Stitch Length

    The market demand for three-thread fleece fabric is increasing steadily due to its soft and bulky texture. Garments made from knitted fleece fabric, such as sweaters and jackets, are generally used for outdoor wear, especially in the winter season because of their warmth, moisture, and absorption properties. However, the elastic properties of three-thread fleece fabric is reduced significantly after the raising operation. This study aimed to increase the elastic recovery of three-thread fabric by changing the stitch length during the manufacturing process in industrial-scale production. The results showed that by varying the stitch length, the elastic recovery was improved by around 9%. Hence, the developed method can be used in textile knitting industries to improve the elastic recovery of fleece fabric.

    Low Cost Wind Turbine Energy Maximizer

    Wind generation systems generate variable voltages at variable frequency because of variable wind speeds. Wind turbines exhibit non linear power characteristics at load variations and have power peak at certain speed of the wind turbine. Because of variable nature of output power at variable wind flow' speeds, it is not practical to use the power output directly to any load . Rather. the Variable a power from the wind generator is stored in a storage battery using an interface converter The battery then supplies power to the desired load or utility using an inverted. We aimed at constructing an interface converter that would always extract maximum power from the wind generator within the battery capacity limit. A lead acid battery wnth a nominal voltage of 12V will be charged according to IEC 60896 . . -: Ie ua 'tng the maximum po\\'er from the wind generator, if the main battery becomes unable to store the whole power, the rest power will be diverted to a secondary storage battery. In case of low wind speed, the secondary storage power may be pumped to the main battery if situation permits. Firstly we proposed a scheme which will provide all necessary protections to safeguard different components in the whole system under abnormal conditions. New topology of buck boost operation with a common ground and novel ideas of driving floating power MOSFETs, will be incorporated in the converter design. This report includes the test results of charging a 12V, 70Ah Lead Acid Battery at various charging states with our proposed circuitry.

In this paper, I have tried to put my overview of Bangladeshi e-commerce industry, Kaymu Bangladesh and its strategies, model, comparison with the current market players and its vision to provide the most diversified online shopping marketplace for the Bangladeshi Consumer. Kaymu Bangladesh is a venture of world’s largest internet incubator Rocket Internet GmbH. In September, 2013, Kaymu Bangladesh started its operations here in this country and within a short period of time, has become a popular destination for the online shoppers. Kaymu Bangladesh follows the EBay business model of buying and selling on a single platform where the sellers sell their products on Kaymu website in exchange of commission percentage on each and every sale. Kaymu is an online marketplace where buyers and sellers meet and exchange goods. Buyers from Dhaka enjoy the facility of payment via cash on delivery while the buyers outside Dhaka throughout the country also can enjoy the home delivery service by prepayment through mobile banking. Kaymu provides sellers the free advertisements of their products through social media, newsletter and Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Through Kaymu, sellers can sell their products very easily as they have the total control of the entire process of selling including the payment. Sellers use Kaymu website to showcase their products and get buyers for the products. When they get an order, they contact and deliver the product on their own or through Kaymu Delivery Partner- AIG Express. Right now, the online selling process is running smoothly but sometimes when there is pressure of more delivery, then the buyers might suffer. This is a major issue for Kaymu and they value this issue highly as at the Beginning it was becoming hard for them to run their operations without dependable delivery partner but now they have established AIG Express as a trusted and dependable delivery partner. Kaymu is trying to achieve its break even by the end of 2016, when their operation will be around three years in Bangladesh. Currently it runs from the funding of its parent company, Rocket Internet Gmbh. Kaymu’s revenue is increasing from its inception. Though Kaymu is a new company, but already they have created their own space in the market and becoming very popular to the online consumers. Kaymu believes that the more its sellers sell, the more revenue Kaymu makes. So they are working relentlessly to market the products of its sellers. Bangladesh is a challenging market for Kaymu. Most of the people do not know the use of internet yet. But Kaymu has a clear goal to offer their customers a diversified shopping experience.

    The comparative study on - in which sector the financial institutions are more interested to provide business loans in Bangladesh , reasons of loan default and Risk mitigating process of credit risk management of IDLC Finance Limited.

    IDLC finance Limited is a major NBFI who is playing vital role for SME financing in Bangladesh. SME plays a very important role in economic advancement of Bangladesh. As major business of IDLC Finance Limited is providing SME loan facilities to the business along with various types of loan to individual and organizations therefore risk is associated with each and every product they are offering. The trend of SME loan disbursement in context of IDLC Financing is highest at trading sector, followed by manufacturing sector and then service sector. The trend of the segment- wise disbursement is same for IDLC. IDLC distribute more than half of their SME portfolio in trading industry because collecting data in the trading sector is easily available and sales verification is simpler than other sectors. Nonperforming loans is common phenomena for banking industry in Bangladesh. A Nonperforming loan is a loan that is in default or close to being in default. Many loans become nonperforming after being in default for 90 days, but this can depend on the contract terms. In the financial arena, enterprise risks can be broadly categorized as Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk and Other risk. Credit risk is the possibility that a borrower or counter party will fail to meet agreed obligations. Thus managing credit risk for efficient management of a FI has gradually become the most crucial task. IDLC finance has its own process to mitigate credit risk. They make an appraisal report which shows the strength of the borrower and possible risk related to the loan how the risk can be mitigate. Here in this report I tried to analyze the current scenario of the SME loan in the country and its future opportunity. Here my main focus is to describe which sector is in their main focus, reasons of loan default and mitigating risk of loan default of IDLC Finance.
