Item Approximate Solution of the Quadratic Nonlinear Oscillator by Iteration Procedure(Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna, Bangladesh, 2015-12) Hossain, Md. Rakib; Haque, Dr. B. M. IkramulAn analytical technique has been developed based on an iteration method to determine higher order approximate periodic solutions for a nonlinear oscillator with discontinuity for which the elastic force term anti-symmetric and quadratic. Usually, a set of nonlinear algebraic equations is solved with this method. However, analytical solutions of these algebraic equations are not always possible, especially in the case of large oscillations. A modified approximate analytic solution of the quadratic nonlinear oscillator "ẍ + x2 sgn(x) = 0" has been obtained based on an iteration procedure. Here we have used the truncated Fourier series in each iterative step. The approximate frequencies obtained by the technique shows a good agreement with the exact frequency and periodic solutions with the exact ones. The percentage of error between exact frequency and fourth approximate frequency of the method is as low as 0.00003%.The method is mainly illustrated by the quadratic nonlinear oscillator but it is also useful for many other nonlinear problems.Item Credit and risk management of Janata bank limited(Daffodil International University, 2018-05-29) Hossain, Md. Accordingly, while processing and appraising a loan proposal, banks essentially analyze the information relating to borrowers, assess the purposes of loan and determine the viability of the loan proposal. If the proposal is sound and safe for lending, loan is sanctioned and disbursed. The report discusses about the management practices of different credit facilities, approval process, monitoring and performance of the bank under study. This report is categorized in seven different chapters. Firstly, The introductory of the study. Secondly, overview of the organization. Thirdly, Concept of Credit Risk Management. Fourth portion of this report is Credit Risk Management Process. Fifth the classified loans and Bangladesh Bank guidelines. Then the performance of Rampura Branch JBL. Next discussion is the analysis and findings about different variables of Credit facilities. At the end, the report makes some valuable recommendations.Item Effect of Dry Wash on Denim Garments(Daffodil International University, 2019-01-15) Hawlader, Md. Rashed; Hossain, Md. RakibDenim garment is most widely used due to its appearance, comfort, strength, durability and low cost, which gives the customers utmost satisfaction. Denim garment does not inherit customer’s desired properties in the primary stage of manufacturing, but can be incorporated desirably by applying some finishing treatment, most widely known as dry washing process, in the denim garment. The most widely used dry washing processes for denim garment to develop new a look and effect are hand brush, destroy, tagging, pressing wrinkle, whiskering and PP spray. We applied combination of dry washing process on raw sample to develop certain effect in the denim and measured the change of physical properties due to application of different dry washing process. First, a combination of dry washing process (certain number) is applied on raw sample and repeated on other four similar raw samples. Similarly other five combination of dry washing process, are applied on raw samples. Due to the application of these combinations of dry washing process on raw samples, they undergo changes of some physical properties like GSM. This gives an indication of change of physical properties due to application of different dry washing processes for imparting desired effect on denim garments.Item Exploring 3D Product Modeling and Game Asset Development through AAVA3D Internship(Daffodil International University, 2024-06-01) Hossain, Md. RakibDuring my internship at AAA3D Studios within the MCT (Multimedia and Creative Technology) department, I engaged deeply in the creation of 3D models and AAA game assets, focusing primarily on Autodesk Maya. Over the course of six months, I successfully completed over 15 diverse 3D models, demonstrating proficiency and receiving commendable feedback from AAA3D Studios. The internship experience was structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the entire 3D production pipeline. This encompassed initial stages such as storyboarding and conceptualization, followed by meticulous tasks including modeling, texturing, animation, lighting setup, rendering, and post-processing. Each phase was crucial in refining my skills and understanding the nuances of crafting immersive and visually compelling 3D content. Collaboration with AAA3D Studios allowed me to immerse myself in professional workflows and gain practical insights into client expectations and project management in the competitive marketplace. This exposure not only sharpened my technical abilities but also enhanced my ability to communicate ideas effectively through visual media. Overall, my internship at AAA3D Studios has been instrumental in advancing my proficiency in 3D modeling, game asset design, and understanding the complexities of professional 3D visualization projects. It has equipped me with invaluable skills and experiences that are essential for a successful career in the dynamic field of 3D animation and visual effects. In the past six months, I have completed 15 projects and received positive feedback from the AAVA 3D studio. Robots are broadly using in Restaurants, Farming, Hospitals and various fields now a days. This work results a low cost IOT Robot that can work like a waiter in a restaurant. The developed robot can follow line and avoid obstacles. The robot can take and serve orders to the customers. It reads RFID from tables to recognize particular orders from customers. The collected data will be saved in a cloud database. Taken orders by robots will automatically go to the chefs. Each order bill will also be generated on the robot. The robot will be able to take the bills also. The full system is made in very low cost than previously made systems. Rakib; Kaiser, M. ShamimNowadays, the Internet of things is spread everywhere. We can do a lot of tough work with IoT and robotics which are very difficult for people to do. This work presents a system that is an IoT-based robot, which can collect data from remote abstruse places and that place may be virus affected. The robot can be controlled with and smartphone via Bluetooth communication. The robot is capable of sending the data to a cloud server. From the cloud server, the collected data can be monitored from all over the world. An app is used to control the movement of the robot and another app has been build to monitor the data with smartphones. This works may help the virus-affected people.Item Numerical study of microwave cancer therapy for liver tissue using bioheat model(Department of Mechanical Engineering, 2021-06-20) Hossain, Md. Rakib; Mamun, Dr. MohammadRotating cylinder flows are very important in aerodynamics and in engineering structures. Confined channel flow also has a wide range of applications including particles migration through veins, droplet dynamics and so on. The present study demonstrates a numerical investigation of forced convection heat transfer over a rotating hot circular cylinder vertically placed at the central axis of a confined horizontal channel for laminar and turbulent flow. The turbulent flow is investigated based on Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations using the Shear Stress Transport (SST) model. Fully developed flow of air at ambient temperature is considered at the channel inlet for both laminar and turbulent flow cases, whereas the surface of the channel is kept insulated. The cylinder is rotating either in clockwise or counter-clockwise direction with a constant angular speed. The speed ratio, defined as the ratio between the cylinder’s circumferential speed to the free stream speed, is varied along with the free stream speed. The governing mass, momentum and energy equations in non-dimensional form are solved numerically using Galerkin finite element method. For simultaneously solving those equations, segregated solution approach is applied, where multiple systems that depend on one another are solved separately in segregated steps. The modelling is performed in a steady and incompressible fluid flow. Parametric simulation is carried out over a range of mean flow Reynolds number based on the mean velocity of the working fluid within the range of 40 ≤ Re ≤ 2000 for laminar flow and 3000 ≤ Re ≤ 107 for turbulent flow. The variation of blockage ratio (β ) is considered as 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2, whereas the rotational Reynolds number of the cylinder based on the peripheral velocity of the cylinder is set at Rec = 4, 10, 20 and 30. The numerical results are visualized in terms of streamline plots, pressure contours and isosurface plots of thermal field. The distributions of coefficient of drag, coefficient of lift and average Nusselt number of the hot cylinder surface as a function of Reynolds number reveal a number of interesting observations from the present findings. From this study, it is found that rotational direction of the cylinder has negligible effect on thermal or flow fields and thus it doesn’t affect the drag or lift coefficients and average Nusselt number. Although, the rotational speed of the cylinder has a significant influence on thermal or flow fields, it also doesn’t affect any of the performance parameters. However, the downstream vorticity is greatly influenced by both the free stream velocity and the blockage ratio. Drag coefficients are higher for smallest cylinder both in laminar and turbulent flow whereas Lift coefficients are higher for laminar zone but no regular pattern is found for turbulent flow. For laminar flow, Nu is greater for smallest cylinder but opposite for the case of turbulent flow. It is also found that the changes in Re and β significantly affect both the aerodynamic and the thermal performance of the confined channel. Drag coefficient decreases with the increase of Reynolds number while Lift coefficient approaches to zero for higher Reynolds number for laminar flow but for turbulent flow it shows arbitrary value around zero. And, Nu increases with the increase of Reynolds number up to a certain range in turbulent zone, after that following a decreasing pattern, it remains almost constant.Item Sentiment analysis of customer reviews on food ordering portals of Bangladesh using natural language processing(BRAC University, 2023-09) Deb, Priom; Bhuiyan, Asibur Rahman; Ahmed, Farhan; Hossain, Md. Foodpanda Bangladesh and HungryNaki have been anticipated to make significant contributions to the expansion and development of the online food delivery market during this period. This study aims to forecast the attitudes of Bangladeshi consumers toward digital platforms for food ordering, with a particular focus on Foodpanda Bangladesh and HungryNaki. To achieve this goal, an online review sentiment analysis will be implemented. A dataset of customer reviews from the company’s website will be compiled. The data will undergo preprocessing techniques to filter out unnecessary and irrelevant information and refine the features and characteristics of the data. Subsequently, natural language processing (NLP) techniques will be applied to conduct sentiment analysis. The objective of this research is to determine the prevailing customer opinions regarding restaurants and food delivery platforms in Bangladesh. This includes their future assessments of delivery schedules, meal quality, and customer service on the platform. The results of this research should shed light on the future of Bangladesh’s food-ordering portals from the perspective of their users. The research will help the platform enhance its reputation and competitiveness in the online food delivery market.Item Smart IoT Based Energy Saver Home Automation System by Measuring Relative Distance and Power Consumption(Daffodil International University, 2019-11-20) Hossain, Md. Here an IoT based solution is provided to redeem the concept of over-power consumption. The main purpose of this paper is to focus on devising an intelligent energy-efficient home automation technology that can detect human presence. By detecting the presence of a person, it can turn on or off any of the lights and fans. Here, the distance between the human and the object is taken into concern. According to the distance, only the closest light fan will turn on automatically and others will remain off. The reduction in energy costs is the most important part of this paper. The total amount of energy is calculated on a daily basis. If the cost is more than the expectation, the device automatically turns off a certain fan or light for a certain time. Also, the temperature is taken into a concern to control the electrical devices. The amount of energy can be easily compared which is spent in a month by using this device and without using this device.Item Teaching English at Bera Mohila Fazil (Degree) Madrasha(Daffodil International University, 22-12-06) Hossain, Md. It is composed of my thoughts, experience, observation and all the things whatever I have learned during my intern period. In this report, there is detail information about the institution and its structure and the people who works behind it. It also has information about my respected supervisor, weekly activities of my task, teaching experience and learning, tools and technology used and skills what I have acquired in this time. The differences and similarities between academic study and practical work experience are also remarked here. In the last, I have also done a SWOT analysis of the institution by observing its strength, weakness and also with opportunities and threats it has. This report is about my internship period on "Teaching English" at Bera Mohila Fazil(Degree) Madrasha. It is composed of my thoughts, experience, observation and all the things whatever I have learned during my intern period. Methodology This chapter will provide an overall outline of my intern paper. The whole procedure will be described step by step in this part. Selecting an Institution When I was asked for internship, I felt tensed by thinking where I should go for the intern. Then I talk to my supervisor. He suggested to me to follow my passion. My passion is teaching so I decided to complete my internship in a School. After that I was searching institution, then I choose a Madrasha to do my intern there because I knew that they are not getting better opportunity to learn English. After that I talked to The Principal and joined there. Selection of the Classes After joining the school, I was thinking that what class will be appropriate to me for teaching. As I am a student of English literature and I studied literature in my academic studies, so it was difficult to take class in the school. Because I have to take Class on Grammar. Then I decided to conduct my class on grammar and English 1st paper with class Seven, Eight and Nine. Before selecting classes I had observed five classes. I took Classes on Article, Tense, Right form of Verbs, Story Writing etc. Selecting a Facilitator After joining at the school, I talk to Assistant English Teacher named Mr. Shah Alom to guide me as my facilitator. He really helped me a lot and directed me to conduct the classes and other tasks in the workplace. I am really grateful to him. Classroom Observation I observed five classes before conducting my classes at the school. By observing I have got Some points. At the beginning Assistant Principal went to the class to introduce myself before the students. Then I talk to class teacher to know about lesson and study materials. Then I observed the class to get overall idea of a class. All the teacher used text book only as study material. There was no multimedia system in any class. But the teacher tried to show by drawing on board for making easy the lesson to the students. Interviewing the peer To complete my internship, I took an interview to my Peer. I asked them some questions about my paper wanted to know some efficient way for making my paper. I also wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages of the project paper. All of them responded gradually and shared their thoughts to me.
