    Blood Bank Management with Chatting System

    The goal of our project is to shield lives of individuals by providing blood to them whensoever required. This can be an Android Application which navel mainly in managing blood. This project on Blood Donation Application using Android studio is developed o that users can view the data of bank, blood from various donors, hospitals, ambulance service and monitors are blood groups database. We’ve got provided security for authenticated users as new users should register consistent with their requirements and existing users should login. Our project we are developing a full of life connection internet. Our application new donor regularly update information and administrator access to the data on blood application system. This application is developed in three aspects and that they are hospital, patient/donor and bank. Our application anyone can find their available donor and simply post. A user can connect with one another by email, massaging and calling system. Users of them is given their rating. Various times we did mention that folks rummage around for blood though there are such a large amount of blood apps but they are doing not fathom the apps. This application, required information quicker and also helps to form faster decisions and treatment at the correct time.

    This Internship represents an organizational hand on experience in Networking and Security. The main objective of the report is a summary of gaining knowledge and practical working experience about Network Device & Server configuration and maintenance for the IT Department at Amin Mohammad Group. For any kind of user requirement in the organization, I have to work with many different Network Devices such as Switches, Router, Firewall, Wireless Access Point, Media Converter, Gateway, etc. Also for a different kind of service, I have to work with Servers like DNS, MAIL, PROXY, WEB, DATABASE, etc. Working with Amin Mohammad Group is a great experience in Configure and Troubleshoot problems in Network Devices and Severs. In there I got a chance to gather knowledge to deal with a technical problem and give a smart solution with my skill. In my internship period, there are many things I achieved from the organization and I think in the future it will help me to work with any other organization professionally.

    Comparative study on nursing of different strains of Tilapia in Bangladesh

    The study was conducted to investigate and compare the growth performance of four Tilapia strains in hapa nursing with the aim to find out the best strain of tilapia. The experiment had conducted by four treatments with five replicates each during date, month to date, month. BFRI source tipalia collected from BFRI HQ, Mymensingh stocked in Treatment-1; unknown source from Hi-Tech Tilapia Hatchery Dagoanbhuiya, Feni in Treatment-2, Philippines strain from Green Field Tilapia Hatchery, Laxmipur in Treatment-3 and fry from Breeding Cohort, Sonar Bangla Hatchery, Bamna, Barguna in Treatment-4. The individual stocking weight (g) of fry was average 0.01g. The fries were stocked in 20 hapa at same stocking density of 600fish/m 2 . Each of the hapa was 2m × 1m × 1m size and fixed in an earthen ponds. Supplementary feed with 31.29% of protein was given at the rate of 40% of the body weight of fry per day manually, four times a day at the beginning of the experimental period and reduced to 25% of their body weight and continued until end of the research. Statistical analysis showed that fry of Treatment-4 strain was the best strain with significantly (p < 0.05) higher gross yield (2.13 kg/ m ) than the strains of other treatments. The strain of Treatment-4 had the fastest growth rate, whereas the lowest performing strain was that from Treatment-2.The survival was found highest in Treatment-4 (80%) whereas the lowest in Treatment-3. Treatment-4 stain also showed the best feed conversion ratio 1.62 than others. Considering the overall performance it can be concluded that tilapia strain collected from Breeding Cohort source is best among the four strains. However, further research is needed to compare with more strains of tilapia from different water body to find out the best strain of Tilapia. 2 ) and Net yield (2.12 kg/m 2

    Implementation of electronic government procurement (e-GP) in Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) : impact on present procurement practices and future scopes

    This thesis investigates the effects of implementing Electronic Government Procurement (e GP) on the procurement practices at Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). A mixed methods approach combining interviews, surveys and quantitative analysis of process data is utilized. The study finds e-GP adoption has significantly enhanced efficiency, transparency, competitiveness, and overall procurement efficacy at BBS. Average tender cycle time reduced by 7 days and costs lowered by BDT 13 lakhs, representing major quantitative gains. Over 70% of staff acknowledged benefits like increased transparency, times savings, faster completion, expanded competition and lowered administrative burdens. However, barriers like inadequate skills, training gaps and inability to apply e-GP for service procurement persist, inhibiting optimal utilization. Addressing these via capability enhancement programs, mandatory e-GP policies and continuous system refinements can help consolidate the gains. Overall, the research validates existing theoretical conceptions on the transformational potential of technology-led procurement reforms and localizes these to the understudied context of statistical agencies in developing countries.

    PERCEPTION OF MANGO GROWERS TOWARDS OPTIMAL USE OF AGROCHEMICALS

    The purpose of the study was to assess the perception of mango growers towards Optimal use of agrochemicals. The study was conducted in Baliadangi upazila under Thakurgaon District. 108 respondents were selected as sample from a recent list of 270 mango growers using multi-stage random sampling method. Data were collected by a pre-tested interview schedule during 1st October to 30th October 2018. Perception of mango growers towards Optimal use of agrochemicals was the focus issue of the study and was measured by using 10 statements (5 positive and 5 negative) along with a Likert scale. The perception score of a respondent was computed by adding the scores for responses to all of the 10 statements. The possible perception scores could range from 10 to 50, where 10 indicating highly unfavorable perception and 50 indicate highly favorable perception towards Optimal agrochemicals use. Problems of the respondents were measured by asking 10 questions on different aspects related to mango production. Four point rating scale was used to measure the problem of a respondent. The overall problem facing score of the respondents could be ranged from 0 to 30, where 0 indicating no problem faced and 30 indicating very high problem faced in mango cultivation. To ascertain the comparison among the problems, Problems Facing Index (PFI) was computed. Mango growers suggestions to solve the problems of mango production was collected and ranked as per of their citations. Majority (73.2 percent) of the respondents had favorable perception followed by 14.8 percent had neutral and only 12 percent had unfavorable perception towards Optimal use of agrochemicals. Among the selected characteristics, education, knowledge on use of agrochemicals and extension media contact showed positive significant relationships and farm size showed negative significant relationship with their perception towards Optimal use of agrochemicals. The first to major problems faced by the mango growers is ‘lack of knowledge on appropriate cultivation practices’ (PFI=278.8) followed by ‘high cost of pesticides’ (PFI=275.9) and last to major problems were ‘insufficient water management’ (PFI= 97.3), followed by ‘lack of marketing facilities’ (PFI= 96.5). Majority of the farmers suggested to arrange training program for development of their skill in mango cultivation followed by government loan on easy terms for mango growers and to ensure visit of the agricultural extension personnel to the mango farms.

    Size Optimization of Hybrid Renewable Energy System using Meta-Heuristic Algorithm

    Rapid decline of fossil fuel reserves and rise of average global temperature has compelled energy scientists to look for non-conventional energy sources, preferably environment friendly and renewable in nature. Among the renewable sources, wind and photovoltaic based energy conversion processes are capturing recent interests. As the input to these two kinds of energy conversion processes are highly unpredictable, incorporation of energy storage device becomes imperative for uninterruptible power supply. However, considering hybrid renewable power generation for fulfilling load demand, arbitrary mixing among participating generating units could result in non-profitable outcome for power supplying entities. Hence, in this work, an optimal sizing of a Wind-Photovoltaic-Battery system has been suggested using a hybrid single objective optimization (SOO) method integrating a genetic algorithm (GA) and grey wolf optimizer (GWO) in phase one and in phase two a multi-objective optimization (MOO) method integrating a non-dominant sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA) II and the Grey wolf optimizer (GWO) is proposed. In the SOO phase the population undergoes cross-over and mutation and then the population is updated according to GWO. In the MOO phase the population of each generation of NSGA II is passed through the GWO before they are allowed to crossover and mutate in order to increase the probability of avoiding local minima. A comparative analysis of the performance of the applied hybrid algorithm with NSGA II and multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) has been carried out in phase two and the hybrid SOO algorithm in phase one is compared with GA. The analysis shows that the applied hybrid algorithms show better performance compared to the other existing algorithms in terms of convergence speed, obtaining global minima, lower mean (for minimization objective) and a higher standard deviation.

    Yield of gelatin from catla, rohu, grass carp and mixed scales and their amino acid composition

    Gelatin is mostly used as food ingredients. Its applications in food industries varies from enhancer as elasticity, consistency and stability of food products. Gelatin is also used as a stabilizer, particularly in dairy products. In pharmaceutical industry, the manufacture of pharmaceutical capsules, ointments, cosmetics, tablet coatings and emulsions often involve gelatin as one of the important ingredients. Gelatin also finds application in photography and some specialized industries. Gelatin is obtained from collagenous raw materials mostly from skin and bones of bovines and skin of porcines those are not “Halal”. Therefore, there is a need to extract gelatin from ‘Halal’ sources like fish scales and skins which may be collected from fish market and fish processing industries. This study extracted gelatin from the scales of catla, rohu, grass carp and mixed type. Thereafter, amino acid profiling of the gelatin extracted from the scales of catla and rohu was done. Grass carp (0.78 ± 0.03) and mixed types of scales (0.78 ± 0.02) yielded similar level of gelatin percent. However, rohu had the lowest recovery of percent gelatin (0.61 ± 0.05). Scales of catla had 0.72 ± 0.06% gelatin. Of the total 14 amino acids, highest percent of Glutamic acid (6.58 %) was found in the gelatin extracted from the scales of catla with lowest percent of Leucine (0.76 %). The percent Methionine and Lysine found were 0.79 and 4.36%, respectively. Arginine was also present at 1.36% in the gelatin extracted from the scales of catla. Gelatin extracted from rohu had highest percent of Glutamic acid (6.14 %) with lowest percent of Leucine (0.59 %). The percent Methionine and Lysine found were 0.85 and 4.15%, respectively. Arginine was also present at 1.33% in the gelatin extracted from the scales of rohu. Of the 10 EAAs, 8 were found in the two of gelatin extracted from the scales of catla and rohu. Among them highest percent Lysine (4.36%) was found in the gelatin extracted from the scales of catla. While the highest percent of Lysine (4.15 %) was found in the gelatin extracted from the scales of rohu, the lowest percent (0.59%) was Leucine. Quantification of fish scales from the fish markets of Bangladesh and extraction optimization may enhance both yield and efficiency.
