Item Classification of peripheral blood cell images using deep learning(BRAC University, 2023-01) Aadi, Oyshik Ahmed; Akash, Md.Meghdad Hossain; Ishraq, Fahim; Hossain, Asif; Al Fahim, Abdullah; Karim, Dewan ZiaulDiagnosis and Identification of cells and disease infected cells are and important part of in medical science that bears huge significance even today. There are health implications can often be identified my observing the morphological changes of cells as well as the quantity of cells. The traditional methods of counting blood and chemically identifying diseases can be expensive and/or time consuming to the extent that only certain medical centres can perform the task at hand, or take days to receive a report of. However, we believe Deep Learning with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can take over most of this tedious process. In this work, we aim towards creating a custom CNN model that can quickly classify different kinds of peripheral blood cells such as the 7 different white blood cell types (basophils, erythroblasts, ig, eosinophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils) and platelets. Such a model can be used in blood cell counts which can be used to identify cases like leukemia. Moreover, such a method can be extended into other fields such as red blood cell detection or even infected cell detection, which includes identifying diseases from Sickle Cell Anemia to cells affected by Covid19. Our custom CNN model has performed exceptionally well, achieving accuracies as high as 99.1% and 98.9% in training and validation respectively, which is significantly higher than using pre-trained models such as DenseNet or NasNet. The demand of electricity in an underdeveloped country like Bangladesh is increasing exponentially day by day while the supply increases in a linear fashion. On the other note the economy of Bangladesh largely depends on tourism. St Martin’s Island is one of the most notable tourist spots here, the only coral Island of Bangladesh in Bay of Bengal. But due to the lack of electricity supply and uncontrolled tourism policy, this beautiful Island becoming inhabitable to the tourists and losing its tourism potential. Because of location, St Martin’s Island is isolated from the national grid. Currently the basic electrical power requirements of the Tourist Resorts there are being supplied by standalone diesel generators. The electricity supply by generators is discontinuous and they are operated at some specific hours when the tourists most likely to in need of electricity. On average, the generators remain turned on for 8 to 9 hours daily within two shifts of operation namely: ‘Day-shift’ and ‘Evening-shift’. The sole purpose of this work is to present a preliminary theoretical outline for supplying necessary electrical energy requirements within those specific periods when the generators are usually put into operation, by renewable wave powered hydro-electricity and replace the diesel generators, thereby constructing a wave powered micro-hydro power plant with an isolated grid system to facilitate the supply of renewable electrical energy to the resorts. For harnessing the energy available in the waves near shore area of the Island, the use of a novel wave energy converter named ‘Searaser’ has been suggested in this study along with logical reasoning about its application in the area of interest. While, renewable energy supply is the major concern, the issue of sustainable tourism is also placed at the base of every major decision.Item Operational procedures in the Food & Beverage production department of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden(Daffodil International University, 2024-04-16) Hossain, AsifThe hotel industry in our nation is growing quickly and contributing significantly to our GDP. Being friendly is growing in popularity every day because people are so interested in traveling and conducting business all over the world. Each year, the travel and tourismindustry contributes 4.4% of the GDP. However, a number of obstacles are currently plaguing this industry, including the nation's political unrest, fluctuations in the economy,a scarcity of skilled labor, and the ongoing economic crisis. Even though other international chains' four- and five-star hotels highly value it, the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is a very upscale hotel in Bangladesh with a well-known competitive advantage over all other five-star hotels. The Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden wants to provide exceptional group service. I have included the departments and amenities of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden as well as the production of food service in my report. I did my best to elucidate to others the function and procedures of the Food & Beverage production department, where I was employed. A hotel's food service production division is essential to its business operations. The primary goals of this study are to address the current food production at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, as well as to promote interest in pertinent topics, exchange firsthand accounts, and advance subject knowledge.
