    A machine learning approach to predict the heatwave in Bangladesh region due to global warming

    Since heatwaves are becoming more frequent and intense all over the world due to global warming, accurate heat wave predictions become essential for ensuring global safety. According to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh is one of the vulnerable countries that is being affected by global warming. To the best of our knowledge, no remarkable machine learning based research has been conducted yet on the actual dataset from Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, heatwaves typically occur during the pre-monsoon season. It has been observed in various seasons in recent years. The heatwave increased the health risk of humans as well as the death rate. Accurate early warning of heatwaves will be beneficial to keep human life safe. This study employs multiple machine learning approaches used to predict the division-wise heatwave based on meteorological data recorded by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) from 35 stations between 2000 and 2024. Heatwave events are calculated with the operational definition of heatwaves used by BMD based on three or more consecutive days with maximum temperatures of 36°C or higher. This research explores ML binary classification models for classifying heatwaves, multi-regressor and hybrid deep learning models to provide early heatwave alerts using BMD recommended post-thresholding on forecasted temperature. The core objective of this research is to contribute to Bangladesh’s heatwave forecasting system, which will help with upcoming environmental risk management initiatives.

    A System Biology and Bioinformatics Approach to Determine the Molecular Signature, Core Ontologies, Functional Pathways, Drug Compounds in Between Stress and Type 2 Diabetes

    Bioinformatics is the application of computer science and information technology to the field of biology and medicine. It involves the analysis of large amounts of biological data, such as DNA sequences, protein structures, and gene expression patterns. Bioinformatics is used to develop new methods for understanding and analyzing biological data, as well as to develop new tools and technologies for biological research. Bioinformatics is used in a variety of fields, including genomics, proteomics, and drug discovery. In this study, focus on two severe diseases which affect millions of people globally such as stress and type 2 diabetes. Stress can have a significant impact on people with type 2 diabetes. Stress can cause blood sugar levels to rise, making it difficult to manage diabetes. The purpose of this research is to use various bioinformatics methods to discover potential therapeutic drugs and functional pathways between stress and type 2 diabetes. The microarray datasets GSE183648 and GSE20966 are used for the analysis of stress and type 2 diabetes samples respectively. After the datasets have been preprocessed and filtered through the use of the R programming language, identified the common DEGs. The depiction of common DEGs is shown by venn diagram. Next, the most active genes are identified through topological properties, and PPIs are built from the similar differential expressed genes (DEGs). These five genes NTRK2, SOCS3, NEDD9, MAP3K8, and SIRPA are the most important hub genes with in the interaction network of protein-protein. According to the common DEGs, GO terms molecular function (MF), KEGG and WikiPathways are shown in this study. Gene-miRNA interaction, TF-gene regulatory network, module analysis, GO terms (Biological Process, Cellular Component), Pathways (Reactome, BioCarta, BioPlanet) are all things that could be done with this research work in the future. In last, a therapeutic drug compounds are recommended on the basis of common DEGs.

    Analysis of Topological Properties and Drug Discovery for Bipolar Disorder and Associated Diseases

    With the advancement and development of sophisticated bioinformatics tools, the area of computational bioinformatics and systems biology analysis is expanding day by day. The bipolar or manic-depressive disorder might be characterized as one of the most crippling mental problems that affect the people of early age and grown-ups. The objective of the present study was to investigate the association between genetic mutations in the four above listed diseases and to create a Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network or common pathways. Firstly, we need to find out the genetic relationship between them. Thus it will help us to understand the genetic association between them and help to develop the drug design for all the diseases. Genes responsible for these diseases are gathered, pre-processed, processed and mining using python scripts. This exploration is expected to carry out further measurements in the field of drug structure and also contributes to the biological and biomedical sectors.

    BANGLA ADAPTATION OF EXPECTATIONS ABOUT COUNSELING-BRIEF FORM

    The Expectation About Counseling-Brief (EAC-B) form is becoming increasingly important in counseling expectation studies across the world. A variety of factor analysis and validation investigations have been conducted in many cultures since the inception of the EAC-B (H. E. A. Tinsley, 1982). Because of a growing need for mental health research, the goal of this study was to translate the instrument into Bangla and validate it in Bangladeshi culture. The study included 326 participants (85 clients and 241 non-clients; 217 females and 109 males). Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) with principal axis factoring revealed a three-factor solution of the EAC-B with 34 items. Consistent with the previous research, the three factors were labeled, Client Involvement, Facilitative Conditions, and Counselor Expertise and these factors together explained 60.93% of the total variance. In comparison to non-clients, clients had lower expectations about counseling in ‘Counselor Expertise’ and greater expectations in the other two factors. In comparison to females, males had lower expectations for ‘Client Involvement’ and higher expectations for the other two factors. EFA was also performed using the EAC-B’s 17 scales, yielding a two-factor structure: Client Role and Counselor Role. Both the 34-item and 53-item EAC-B, as well as their factors, had high internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = .97 for the 53-item EAC-B, Cronbach’s α = .96 for the 34-item EAC-B and .89–.96 for its factors), as well as strong convergent, discriminant, and know-group validity. As a result, both the 34-item and 53-item Bangla versions of the EAC-B appear to be valid and reliable, and may be utilized in future research on counseling expectations in the country.

    Computational Analysis of Network Model Based Relationship of Mental Disorder With Depression

    In this study, we present the network relationship of anxiety, eating and mood disorder with depression. Different computational network models have been demonstrated using different ongoing technologies. One of the most common mental illnesses can be classified as anxiety disorders. These are observable psychological conditions or a category of mental illnesses believed to be caused either by genetic weakness or by causes of environmental sensitivity. A wide range of psychological chronic conditions is often correlated with eating disorders (ED). However, the increasing role of lipid metabolism in ED pathogenesis has been highlighted by recent research studies. Depression (DE) acknowledgement is traced back to the ancient Greeks, who called it melancholia. The word depression has originated with the Greeks who used it to identify a specific condition, a God-given spiritual state, or a response involving rage or excitement, in different ways. Throughout drug research and development, finding innovative mechanisms is a massive challenge. In this field, structure-based design is a basic methodology and has become an essential part of developing drugs. The detailed three-dimensional structure of the protein is shown for a significant number of drug targets. While simulation docking and similar biotechnology have progressed in recent times, a suitable set of docking simulations for simulation performance is difficult to identify.

    Computational study of natural ventilation air flow and heat transfer for a room of different flow path and window configurations in Bangladesh

    Natural ventilation is an effective system to reduce the consumption of energy required to condition buildings and to improve the quality of indoor air. Buildings will construct such a way that can use natural energy more proficiently can lead to save energy, while maintaining comfort for occupants’. This study has been focused to airflow and heat transfer analyses in a room through opening(s)/awning opening(s) and then compare the results obtained from both different opening. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) whose application is gaining popularity has been used to model single-sided and cross ventilation in a single room through window where door was closed. Two and Three-dimensional model has been calculated of a cubic room assuming twelve different opening configurations. In this research, Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes equation (RANS) approach has been applied to wind driven natural ventilation in a cubic building. Two equation based k-ϵ model is used for stationary and unsteady solution. Moreover, turbulent air flow coupling with or without heat also has been considered and showed in different results. The mathematical model has been solved numerically with CFD/commercial software. The temperature fields, flow patterns, ventilation rate, heat transfer coefficients and temperature distribution effectiveness have been presented and discussed. The numerical results have been also compared with experimental data, showing a good agreement. The room heated up and reached its thermal comfort level, but the velocities exceeded the maximum acceptable level set by ASHRAE [15] guidelines. In the case of heat transfer and ventilation, Awning opening gives better result than opening.

    Computer Vision Based Surveillance System

    Nowadays CCTV cameras are almost everywhere in Bangladesh and the number is increasing rapidly. This CCTV footage is still manually observed and it is too hard for a human to keep eyes on every single camera continuously which is boring and most of the time, because of human weaknesses, could be missed. As a result, various types of incidents occur, which could have been prevented by taking necessary steps in time. During such various movements a large number of cars, shops, government, and private properties are destroyed, maybe by setting things on fire or breaking things that caused great loss to the country. Or people in danger do not get the help they need in time. These days CCTV's and the internet are very cheap. These being used everywhere, CCTV's can be found in every corner of the road, school, college, university, and markets. But there is a lack of an efficient system to use this CCTV smartly. As a result, storage is wasted because they are recording all the time. But a smart system can be turned on recording automatically just whenever it needs to record. And regular CCTV systems do not send notifications or alarms in a proper way. So, most of the time crucial events are missed just because this footage is being checked manually. So, the main purpose of using CCTV being failed. People does not get help at right time and fail to secure their properties. So, we developed a video surveillance system (web application) that will detect fire, hand gestures, and suspicious or unwanted human beings quickly and will inform (Email, SMS and Web notifications) the authorities about these unwanted incidents with proper evidence (photos and videos). It will be possible to save from the huge loss of life and property. And people can get the necessary help urgently.

It started its operation in 1985 and it is the pioneer financial institution in Bangladesh.I have done my temporary position in IDLC Finance Limited Consumer division Department in Mirpur branch. Being an intern in the Consumer division, I got the chance to perceive how the Consumer Division functions with Corporate Division to accomplish targets. Later, I will talk about the different products and services of IDLC finance limited also talk about different department and their basic works. I will also talk about the consumer’s behavior process, I will compare the disbursement rate between 2013 and 2014 whether it expand or diminish. Not only that I will discuss about the number of consumers which is very important because it will show you whether the consumer rate is growing or not.Later I will show most recent couple of year’s portfolios of IDLC Finance limited. In my report, I could also provide the latest interest rate and the overall information about this Company. IDLC provides best services with very short period of time. That makes them top position from any other NBFI and banks. They maintain their position by giving very fast and smooth service. In future they come up with new technology, strategy, and more skill man power so that they can hold the number one position in the market.     Design Protein-protein Interaction Network and Protein-drug Interaction Network for Common Cancer Diseases

    Background In terms of genomics, bioinformatics conceptualizes biological processes and utilizes computer science to generate knowledge from biological data. Bioinformatics is multidisciplinary in that it merges the available methods in multiple fields, including computation, inventory, statistical analysis, collection, and processing of genetic data, to provide approaches in the fields of genetics, education, and healthcare. Aim Our study, described herein, has attempted to analyze the relationships between genetic variants in breast, colorectal, lung, and ovarian cancer, to establish a common pathway, or PPI network and PDI network. Method Ology: A computational investigation was implemented to understand the PPI network and PDI network for breast, colorectal, lung, and ovarian cancer. Related genes were collected from the NCBI gene database for each disease. A data mining technique was utilized to discover the common genes between the four diseases. Result Based upon our computational model, a total of 10 common genes: TP53, EGFR, TNF, APOE, VEGFA, IL6, TGFB1, MTHFR, ERBB2, and ESR1 were observed. A novel pathway was found in the investigation. This research was therefore assistive in the identification and study of the PPI network and PDI network for common cancer diseases. Numerous prior studies have also demonstrated a strong association between breast, colorectal, lung, and ovarian cancer. Conclusion The PPI network and PDI network were developed based on common genes between four studied diseases. This information can be helpful to understand the ligand binding of the PPI network. In this area of drug design, our study therefore provides additional insight.

    Developing a More Frequent and Faster Method for Segmentation of Urban Roads From Satellite Images

    In the recent era of computer vision research and development, the researchers still struggle in the case of an upkeep in contribution to this genre. Image segmentation is the technique of dividing a picture into useful regions and items. It may be applied to comprehending and recognizing scenes in a variety of industries, including ecology, healthcare, automation, and aerial photographs. So here we propose, an automatic method for recognizing the urban network of highways on high resolution satellite images has been developed and implemented. Then we also did several experiments regarding our satellite-based image dataset with the U-Net, U-Net with ResNet50 as an encoder, DeepLabV3+ ResNet50 as an encoder and the DeepLabV3+ ResNet101 for the comparison experimentation. Our main purpose of this research work was to apprehend between the last decade of research to our own accorded model. A comparison between the results was then introduced in our research article. In such circumstance we can say that our result was divided into various contexts of the models in order of our result convention. In case of our result estimation the best performance was acquired by the DeepLabV3+ ResNet101, the dice loss is 0.05 and the mean IoU 90%. The U-Net ResNet50 got the same IoU of 90%, but the dice loss was 0.06. Which and why we would prefer our model of the DeepLabV3+ ResNet101 to be the best in case. We prepared out dataset in order of accustom to our models structure. We hope our work would be enlightened in case of the image segmentation and computer visions massive indenture.

This thesis is done to find out the Laboratory Tests of denim garments after denim washing process. This study is done without high facilities. But the output of this study was fine. We have found some laboratory tests data of different fabric and compare among theirs tests

    Exploring GPS teachers experience of online teaching in Dhaka City during COVID19 pandemic

    The entire world was facing a severe health epidemic starting in the first quarter of 2020. It led to the deaths of millions of people. Due to the epidemic, educational institutions have encountered some of the most challenging problems and transformations, like some other service sectors. Face-to-face classroom activities have to be halted in schools. During this pandemic, online teaching-learning is extensively employed worldwide to avoid the learning gap of students and keep them learning. Bangladesh's government has been obliged to halt educational activities in all educational institutions in the country as of March 17, 2020. To avert an irrevocable loss of learning over 38 million students, Bangladesh's government launched a distance learning strategy within a couple of months. Distance learning was primarily converted to online teaching-learning to make learning more inclusive and accessible afterward. This study attempts to depict Bangladeshi government primary school teachers' online teaching experience during the COVID19 pandemic. The data collection site for this study was the Uttarkhan area of Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh. The purposefully selected participants are government primary school teachers and involved in online teaching-learning during the COVID19 school closure. This study used inductive reasoning and in-depth analysis to discover that teachers' teaching-learning experiences in a virtual classroom are vastly different. As the majority of teachers struggled with the proper adoption issue with this new method of teaching. Simultaneously, an unsupportive environment demotivated students and teachers throughout the learning process. Less technology literacy and an excessive workload on the instructor have lowered the quality of education in various ways. On the other hand, teachers believe that with enough training and resources, they will be able to conduct successful online teaching and learning.

    Hybrid energy system: power generation from renewable sources for coastal areas in Bangladesh

    Bangladesh has always trouble producing enough electricity to meet the demand which is a major hindrance to the development process. The whole world is facing the crisis of fossil fuels as well as Bangladesh. To reduce the dependency on these fossil fuels, we proposed a hybrid renewable energy system for the coastal areas of Bangladesh, specially Kuakata. We determined the most optimized solution among the multiple designs which is solar-wind hybrid system using HOMER software. Then we build a prototype of the solar wind hybrid system using Arduino microcontroller. The wind turbine is modelled using induction motor to generate AC electricity. The two batteries are used to store the electricity and supply to the small loads. The renewable hybrid system reduces dependency to the grid electricity and it also reduces the environment pollution.

    Identification of Drug and Protein-Protein Interaction Network Among Stress and Depression: A Bioinformatics Approach

    The fields of data mining, computational biology, and statistics have been combined to form the massive research area of bioinformatics. In the areas of genetics, education, and healthcare, bioinformatics integrates the tools available in different fields such as computing, inventorying, performing statistical analyses, and collecting and processing genomic data. Stress and depression are two of the most severe mental disorders that affect people of all ages, including children and adults. The goal of this study was to look into the relationship between genetic alterations and the two diseases mentioned above as well as to develop a PPI network or related channel. The first step is to determine whether or not there is a biological relationship between them. This would assist us in connecting both of them as well as building therapeutic drugs that are effective against stress and depression disorders. Using R programs, the genes that are responsible for different diseases are acquired, pre-processed, analyzed, and mined in order to better understand them. During the study, a novel pathway was discovered. Based on common genes between the two diseases studied, the PPI network, gene-miRNA interaction, TF-gene interaction, and PDI network were established. This data can help us better understand how the PPI network binds to its ligands. We anticipate that our study will contribute to the development of new drugs for stress and depression.

    Investigation of CNTFET performance with gate control coefficient effect

    For the first time, a deep study of gate control coefficient (αG) effect on CNTFET performance has done in this research. A new, analytical CNTFET simulation along with multiple parameter approach has executed with 3D output in MATLAB and that used it to examine device performance. It is found that, drain current and transconductance increases with high gate control coefficient. On the other hand, total capacitance decreases with high αG value resulting improved charging energy. Likewise, drain induced barrier lowering (DIBL) decreases with αG that provides less deviation from ideal device performance. Finally, subthreshold swing comes very close to the theoretical limit at high αG which is desired for low threshold voltage and low-power operation for FETs scaled down to small sizes.

    Probiotics are live microorganisms progressed with claims that they give clinical benefits when consumed, generally by improving or restoring the gut flora.[1] They can be found in yogurt and other matured food sources, dietary improvements, and greatness things. Regardless of the way that people routinely consider tiny creatures and various microorganisms ruinous "germs," many are truly helpful. A couple of microorganisms help digest food, demolish disease causing cells, or produce supplements. An extensive parcel of the microorganisms in probiotic things are identical to or like microorganisms that ordinarily live in our bodies.[2] Probiotics have been used safely in food sources and dairy things for more than 100 years. Lately, there has been extending interest in their use to thwart, reduce or treat unequivocal diseases. Countless clinical fundamentals have inspected the use of probiotics for diseases going from necrotizing colitis in troublesome infants to hypertension in adults[3] The at first discovered probiotic was a certain strain of bacillus in Bulgarian yogurt, called Lactobacillus bulgaricus. The revelation was made in 1905 by Bulgarian specialist and microbiologist Stamen Grigorov.     Management of suppliers’ performance in BWDB : an evaluation

BWDB has completed many water management related projects and it has around 54 ongoing ADP included projects in this year 2014-15 where there are many suppliers/contractors performing in those projects. Supplier performance management will play a vital role to complete those projects successfully within time frame and budget allocation. This dissertation focuses on the supplier performance management in BWDB. The objective of this dissertation is to identify the current practices of supplier performance management and performance shortfalls as well as to suggest ways of improvement in supplier performance. This is an exploratory research that uses case study method. Primary data (qualitative) has been collected from respondents both engineers and suppliers of BWDB working in selected projects through questionnaire survey and interviews. Secondary data (quantitative) has been collected from BWDB website. From the analysis of the both qualitative and quantitative data the major reasons behind the shortfalls in supplier’s performance have been identified and suggestions about improving supplier performance have been congregated. It has been found that only 13% projects are completed in due time and 67% projects need two to three years extension to be accomplished. This is happening due to mainly insufficient budget allocation in the projects by the government. Two to three years delay occurs in 66% projects to get budget allocated in the original DPP. Due to financial insolvency of suppliers they can’t start project in due time or even can’t accomplish project within given time period. Again suppliers have technical shortfalls like lack of machinery, equipment and manpower. Sometimes it is found that there are no weight measuring scale, sieve, sufficient sewing machine, generator, cc block formwork and labor. Although suppliers show graduate engineers in their manpower list while contracting but practically even no diploma engineers are found in the work site. Moreover, due to lack of supervision by concerned official, contractors often take the chance to deteriorate quality of work. They change the concrete mixture ratio in cc block manufacturing and change thickness of filter material above which cc blocks are laid down in the slope of the river bank. To improve suppliers’ performance sufficient yearly budget allocation as well as quarterly fund release according to original DPP should be done by BWDB. If it is impossible to allocate sufficient yearly budget, suppliers should be allowed to take loan from state owned bank against their work/supply order at low interest rate in compared with private bank. Moreover, the existence of equipment, machinery and manpower according to suppliers’ submitted list should be specially checked and verified through visiting suppliers’ premises to ensure the technical capability of suppliers while selecting them. Finally, the concerned engineer may motivate supplier through the both approach of motivation i.e. the carrot approach (e.g giving recognition and rewards: inclusion on the preferred supplier list, certificate of excellence which will increase the goodwill of the supplier in the market) and the stick approach (e.g publicizing debarred/black list for unsuccessful supplier, giving exemplary punishment, including penalty clauses in contract).

It also includes duties of a merchandiser, my activity and the problems I faced and some recommendations. I did a small survey for some information and I include the survey results in my report. Finally I find some major things about Young Optics BD Ltd. And I recommend by my own opinion. I hope this report will be helpful for the management of the company to take decisions and formulating plans for future. It will also help the Merchandiser of the company who are the work in company. They can find their lacking and can recover their problems. In my recommendation part I have tried to my level best to give some advice based on their problems that I found from my analysis. Among every one of the renewable technologies, solar sun (PV) is one of the most potential, favorable and promising the one which converts solar energy into electricity, including or taking out battery backup. Although solar engineering has nearly succeeded in rural areas where a lot of the technologies are adopted according to Solar Home Method (SHS), it have not yet been effective in towns after the added rule of achieving 3% of mild fan load of your building. We have got investigated the put in solar rooftop regarding 86 houses inside Narayanganj, where the pv system of a lot of the houses were identified inactive. Among these only 50 methods are active. Although urban people are more likely to know the efficient use of solar energy, they still prefer fossil fuels for their power generation. In this manner, they are indirectly contributing to environmental hazards and wasting a lot of money too. From the reading of an installed solar system, the cost per unit is calculated later as an example. However, the appropriateness of the system to the consumer is very limited due to having a lack of knowledge and training to operate the system productively.
