Item AR Application for Child Education(Daffodil International University, 2019-09-08) Hasan, Md. NahidNow day’s children are more likely to use smartphones. They would like to use smartphones more than a textbook. They use smartphones for playing various games and watch the cartoon as well as funny videos and movies also. The addiction to using smartphones through children is increasing day by day. Maximum parents now want to teach their children via smartphones. In that case, they try to find various learning apps and games. From that sense, we decide to make a child learning apps by using Augmented Reality. AR is the most powerful way of interaction nowadays. On AR apps we design an alphabets book for the children according to our survey report and we make an android app using unity 3D. When a child opens the apps, then the phone camera will open. And if the child holds the camera in any picture of the book, then the smartphone will tell the name of the alphabet and also tell a word with that particular word and will show a 3D visual model of the object on the mobile display.Item Design and Analysis of an Inset Feed X-Band Microstrip Patch Antenna(Daffodil International University, 2021-06-27) Hasan, Md. Nahid; PK, Ripon; Mohasin, Md. AbrarNewer microwave and millimeter-wave systems are in higher demand to satisfy emerging communications difficulties in terms of size, bandwidth, and gain. As a result, antennas are commonly utilized to meet satellite communication demands. Different applications are accessible in different frequency ranges in satellite communication. Researchers are constantly trying to enhance the bandwidth and gain for Microstrip Patch antennas (MPAs). Using the Ansys HFSS and CST Studio Suite 3D EM simulation software a new optimized MPA is designed. The proposed antenna is an inset feed partial ground MPA structure that has resonance frequencies of 8.45 GHz, 9.95 GHz, and 13.17 GHz, with a bandwidth of 6.7 GHz. It operates at frequencies ranging from 7.9 GHz to 14.6 GHz covering the complete Xband and lower portion of Ku band. The planned antenna is 23.8×28.2×1.6 mm3 in size, with FR-4 Epoxy as the substrate which has a dielectric constant of 2.2 and loss tangent of 0.02. The antenna can be used for terrestrial broadband, uplink and downlink of satellite, mobilesatellite service, broadcasting satellite services, secure military communication, military satellite communication, direct broadcast satellite TV relay, fixed satellite service, amateur radio, weather monitoring , air traffic control, maritime vessel traffic control and radar application.Item Design and Implementation of Voice Controlled Home Automation System(Daffodil International University, 2019-01) Hasan, Md. In this project, Raspberry pi utilized as google assistant client to process the voice direction and connected to the home machines.Item Design of High Gain and Wideband Circular Patch Antenna Based on DGS for 28 GHZ 5G Applications(UAD, 2024-10-15) Rana, Md. The integration of a DGS is explored to exploit ground plane defects for achieving wideband operation. Through systematic design and optimization, our approach achieves remarkable bandwidth enhancement, expanding from 0.75 GHz to 5.78 GHz, covering frequencies from 26.43 GHz to 32.21 GHz, resulting in an impressive impedance bandwidth of 20.5%. Notably, the proposed methodology significantly improves the reflection coefficient, reducing it from -16 dB to -57 dB. Furthermore, the antenna demonstrates a gain of 5.123 dBi and an enhanced voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.0056348. Comparative analysis against existing works underscores the superior performance of our antenna design, affirming its potential for various applications. This will help common people to get instant support without wasting time and effort even they will get this service from home and abroad. By using this system people can easily get to know about the timing of doctor’s counselling period and make their meeting whenever they want. Proper categorized list will make people more comfort to browse their expected doctors.Item Dual Band Antenna Design and Prediction of Resonance Frequency Using Machine Learning Approaches(Scopus, 22-10-18) Haque, Md. Mustafa; Hannan, Md; Pk, RiponAn inset fed-microstrip patch antenna (MPA) with a partial ground structure is constructed and evaluated in this paper. This article covers how to evaluate the performance of the designed antenna by using a combination of simulation, measurement, creation of the RLC equivalent circuit model, and the implementation of machine learning approaches. The MPA’s measured frequency range is 7.9–14.6 GHz, while its simulated frequency range is 8.35–14.25 GHz in CST microwave studio (CST MWS) 2018. The measured and simulated bandwidths are 6.7 GHz and 5.9 GHz, respectively. The antenna substrate is composed of FR-4 Epoxy, which has a dielectric constant of 4.4 and a loss tangent of 0.02. The equivalent model of the proposed MPA is developed by using an advanced design system (ADS) to compare the resonance frequencies obtained by using CST. In addition, the measured return loss of the prototype is compared with the simulated return loss observed by using CST and ADS. At the end, 86 data samples are gathered through the simulation by using CST MWS, and seven machine learning (ML) approaches, such as convolutional neural network (CNN), linear regression (LR), random forest regression (RFR), decision tree regression (DTR), lasso regression, ridge regression, and extreme gradient boosting (XGB) regression, are applied to estimate the resonant frequency of the patch antenna. The performance of the seven ML models is evaluated based on mean square error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and variance score. Among the seven ML models, the prediction result of DTR (MSE = 0.71%, MAE = 5.63%, RMSE = 8.42%, and var score = 99.68%) is superior to other ML models. In conclusion, the proposed antenna is a strong contender for operating at the entire X-band and lower portion of the Ku-band frequencies, as evidenced by the simulation results through CST and ADS, it measured and predicted results using machine learning approaches.Item Event Cooker(Daffodil International University, 2022-01-06) Babu, Md. That is why it took the initiative to create a website that would provide all of these services. In this modern world, people want a hassle-free service. For that purpose, people want to solve that inconvenience through the web. In this project, for developing a web-based application for users who want to book their event online without any hassle. Using this web-app, users can customize their own events and can also book their individual artists and can book any type of event, like weddings, birthdays, concerts, etc. There are some unique features in that platform, like career opportunities. Industrial attachment is the process, which builds understanding, skills and attitude of the performer, which improve one’s knowledge in boosting productivity and services. Through this attachment, we can know about theoretical implementation on industrial basis. Nahid; Asif, Md. Abdullah Al; Rahman, Hasan Md. Tanbin; Hasan, Md. NeazulThis thesis focuses on the use of lasers as a processing tool for silicon based PV. Lasers may perform a range of solar cell processes, such as edge isolation, doping, removal of dielectrics, structuring and contact formation, and have the potential to enable processes required for advanced, high efficiency solar cell concepts. Solar energy is rapidly becoming one of the most promising renewable energy sources available to us. Its abundant availability greatly surpasses any other energy source, and with the immense progress seen in production technology for photovoltaics (PV) over the last decade, the price for converting solar energy into electricity is rapidly decreasing. However, further price reductions are still required for solar energy to be directly cost competitive with conventional energy sources in the majority of the world. Two objectives were formulated for this thesis. The first objective focuses on acquiring new fundamental knowledge on the interaction between ultrashort pulse lasers and silicon and dielectrics used for solar cells. Such knowledge is valuable in itself, and is important for process understanding and development. The second objective focuses on the development of laser based techniques for the production of light-trapping textures. This as light trapping gets increasingly important as the wafer thickness used in industry is constantly being reduced and as new wafering techniques may render traditional texturing methods obsolete. On the interaction between pulsed lasers and silicon or dielectric layers, emphasis has been put on ultrashort laser pulses. Mechanisms causing ablation and the process result after ablation have been the main focus. It has been shown that this plasma formation causes optical confinement of the laser energy which in silicon greatly reduces the optical penetration depth, and as such reduces the depth of the laser induced damage. Using lasers at a wavelength of 532 nm, the depth of the laser induced damage is reduced from approx. 3 μm to around 0.25 μm when going from nanosecond to picosecond pulse duration. Knowledge about the depth of laser damage as 8 function of pulse duration is valuable when seeking the right laser for a given process. In silicon nitrides, the plasma formation causes significant energy deposition into normally transparent films and may open for direct ablation of the dielectrics. It has also been shown that the ablation threshold on silicon is dependent on the temperature of the silicon substrate. In production, this would mean that the use of slightly elevated substrate temperatures would reduce the laser power required for a given throughput, or correspondingly increase throughput achievable with a given laser power. On the topic of light-trapping structures fabricated by the use of lasers, two processes have been developed, and the performance of the textures has been measured. The patch texture, a geometric light-trapping texture for <100>-oriented monocrystalline silicon, showed a simulated increase in Jcc of 0.5 mA/cm2 when compared with the random pyramids texture, being the current industry standard. New wafering techniques provide thin silicon wafers for which the patch and random pyramids textures may not be applicable, and for which no industry standard texturing process exists. With this in mind, a diffractive honeycomb texture was developed. The use of microspheres on the wafer surface as focusing elements enabled the production of features with sizes well below 1μm. The diffractive honeycomb texture shows a photo generated current of 38 mA/cm2 on 21 μm thick silicon wafers. The results summarized above shows that both fundamental understanding of the laser-material interaction and results that are directly applicable have come from the investigation of laser-material interaction. The texturing processes that have been developed show that laser based texturing processes are capable of delivering high quality textures suitable for a range of different substrates.Item Speed Profile Analysis at the Speed Breakers at Some Locations in Dhaka City(Daffodil International University, 23-01-15) Mahmud, Md. Samiul; Islam, Md. Shahidul; Hasan, Md. NahidA speed breaker is placed perpendicular to a road to force drivers to reduce their speed. By regulating the speed of vehicles on local streets and accident-prone areas, they serve a significant role in enhancing safety. The reduction in speed is mostly determined by the length, height and kind of speed breakers. Commonly utilized types of speed breakers include speed bumps, speed humps, and artificial speed breakers. The purpose of this study is to determine the variation in speeds of different classes of vehicles at speed breakers road section of Manik Mia Avenue, Shyamoli Ring Road and West Raza Bazar in Dhaka. We provide a new approach for calculating the maximum permissible speed in curves that takes into account the three variables of the situation (distance, time, and speed) using the appropriate tools. The vehicle's dynamics are represented by a count and an average that incorporates a longitudinal top view and a side view-based speed analysis of speed breakers. The volume of traffic on the aforementioned highways was measured every 0-15 feet. Results found that during peak hours, the video was captured and the variation of speeds before and after 20 feet (Manik Mia Avenue), 6 feet (Shyamoli Ring Road), and 2 feet (West Rajabazar) from speed breakers was estimated at these sites. Both of the distances between us are identified by vehicle. The remaining rickshaw time at the Manik Mia avenue speed breaker is 8.94 km/h (2.02 seconds), while the remaining bike time is 15.36 km/h (1.12 sec). At an average of 1.12 seconds (11.96 kilometers per hour) per car, the West Rajabazar speed breaker was traversed. The average maximum speed per vehicle on Manik Mia Avenue is 12.25 km/h (1.51 seconds). We reviewed three-speed breakers in designated areas of Dhaka city and were able to determine the speed of the vehicles in front of the speed breaker while crossing the speed breaker and after crossing the speed breaker. Besides, we have been able to determine how many vehicles are moving every hour and what kind of vehicles are moving at Manik Mia Avenue carries 2,790 vehicles per hour, Shyamoli Ring Road in Dhaka sees an average of 2040 vehicle passes each hour, and West Razabazar there are 720 vehicular traffic movements each and every hour.Item STUDY ON BLACK BENGAL GOAT’S MANAGEMENT AND MILK YIELD IN NANGOLKOT UPAZILLA, CUMILLA, BANGLADESH(Chattogram Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Khulshi,Chattogram, 2018-09) Hasan, Md. NahidThis study was conducted to investigate the management practices and milk yield of Black Bengal goats under different farms at Nangolkot Upazilla of Cumilla District of Bangladesh during the period of February, 2018 to March, 2018. The farms were visited several times to know their daily activities and management. The kids were kept separately from their mother from overnight. In morning their weight was taken before milk feeding. Then they were allowed to suck their dam. After completing the milk feeding kids were weighted again. The amount of milk yield in a day was calculated between the differences of weight of kid after milk feeding and weight of kid before milk feeding. Data were collected from 9 female Black Bengal goats with their subsequent milk yield at 15 days intervals. The 9 female Black Bengal goats were selected. The milk yield of Black Bengal goat’s breeds under 3 different farms was studied. The average milk yield of farm 1, 2 and 3 are 215.6667 3.46, 198.75 5.48 and 207.75 4.54 ml per day respectively. The average milk yield of Black Bengal goat is 210 -220 ml per day. In this study it has been seen that the milk yield is more in that farm which have good management facilities and somewhat lower production in that farm which have less management facilities.Item Study on stoppage time in various circular weft knitting machine(Daffodil International University, 2018-12-26) Rana, Md. NahidThe study was carried out at Upazilla Veterinary Hospital in Nangolkot, Cumilla during the period of February 01 to March 29, 2018. This study was based on data from patient register of UVH to record the prevalence of Fasciola in sick cattle brought by the owners in the hospital. A presumptive diagnosis of Fasciolosis in cattle was made on clinical signs & physical examination. Confirmatory diagnosis was made by fecal examination by microscope. A total no of 28 case were examined, among which 18(64.28%) were found Fasciola gigantica positive cattle.It is found that female were highly affected by Fascioliasis (42.85%) than male (21.42%) and age groups of female were reported as 2-4 years.Item Transient Stability Analysis in Nine Bus Power System(Daffodil International University, 23-04-01) Hasan, Md. Nahid; Ghosh, AntaraThis thesis presents a comprehensive study on the transient stability analysis of a 9-bus power system using MATLAB. The transient stability analysis is a crucial component of power system analysis. The 9-bus system is a well-known benchmark system commonly used to evaluate different power system stability analysis techniques. The study starts by reviewing the fundamental concepts of power system stability, including voltage stability and transient stability. It also presents a detailed mathematical model of synchronous generators, transmission lines, and loads. The transient stability analysis of the 9-bus system is conducted using MATLAB/Simulink software. The study analyzes the response of the system to various fault conditions such as three-phase short-circuits, line-to-line faults, and single-phase faults. The study evaluates the performance of the system under different fault conditions by analyzing the critical clearing time (CCT) and maximum rotor angle deviation (MRAD). The study also incorporates different control strategies such as excitation systems, power system stabilizers (PSS), and FACTS devices, to improve the system's transient stability. The study compares the system's performance with and without the control strategies to evaluate their effectiveness. The results indicate that the 9-bus system is highly vulnerable to different fault conditions, and the use of appropriate control strategies can significantly enhance the system's transient stability. The study provides valuable insights into designing and implementing control strategies to improve power system stability. The prototype is a variant of Point Absorber where the generator is a Permanent Magnet Linear Generator (PMLG). The generator is operated in a wave generation facility to investigate the outcomes. The generator parameters are thus frequently optimized using the facility. The generator outputs were recorded throughout to obtain a linear generator characteristic. This characteristic and design aspects are examined to propose a possible outcome and feasibility in the real scenario
