Item Automatic Railway Gate Control System(Daffodil International University, 2021-01) Mortoza, Md. Sayed; Hasan, Md. MarufIn this project the gate will be controlled by a microcontroller which automatically opens, closes, and signaling. There will be a signal on the road for vehicles when the train arrives. Then the rail crossing will close. So, we used a weight sensor which increases the security of rail crossing a bit more. When, the train passes over the weight sensor it will send a signal to the road. So that the drivers of vehicles can understand the rail crossbar will be closed in a short while. But sometimes, we do not notice the road signals due to our unconsciousness. So that time, if a vehicle gets stuck at a rail crossing, a red light will flash on the rail line. So the train driver realizes that a vehicle is stuck at the rail crossing. At the same time, one more signal will go to the control room, so that this problem can be solved from the control room. After disconnecting the power from the control room and restarting it, the rail crossing will be open and the vehicle stuck in the rail crossing will be able to pass over the rail crossing. Then the train will be able to move easily to its own destination.Item Characterization of Mechanical Properties of Concrete Recycled Ceramic and Glass Powder Exposed to Elevated Temperatures(Research and Development Wing, MIST, 2022-06) Mustafy, Tanvir; Hasan, Md. Maruf; Ahmed Shuvo, Nayeem; Sarwar Mujib, Joarder MdSystematic reuse of industrial debris is a crucial component that helps shape the sustainable construction system and green technology. The effective optimization of waste ceramic and glass fines into concrete mixes, as partial replacements of natural sand by volume, has been used in this study to explore the mechanical properties of ceramic recycled aggregate (CRA) and glass recycled aggregate (GRA) concrete at higher temperatures. The study comprises 17 types of concrete mixtures comprised of normal concrete (NC) along with 8 different mixes from both GRA and CRA concrete. In both types of GRA and CRA concrete, the sand replacement (by volume) ratios are similar. This paper highlights NC along with the volumetric replacements of sand as 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40% in other mixes. A total of 306 cylinders were made whereas 18 cylinders for NC and each group (GRA and CRA) included n=18 cylinders. Selected temperatures were 25°C, 100°C, 200°C, 400°C, 600°C, and 800°C to determine the overall mechanical and chemical alterations in NC and recycled concrete. The study reveals that increasing the addition of recycled glass and ceramic fines improves the overall compressive strength, and tensile strength compared to normal concrete. Higher replacement of ceramic and glass fines reduces the cracks and enhances the durability of concrete. In addition, more strength reduction was noticed in NC with increasing temperatures, while the reduction rate was slower in both GRA and CRA concrete. Furthermore, the study expounds that, by exploiting the ceramic and glass wastes (as fines) into concrete would result in two-way environmental advantages. One is, it would reduce the hazardous ceramic and glass landfills while the other is, it would minimize the frequency of sand mining.Item NUMERICAL STUDY ON PERISTALTIC MOTION OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUID IN PHYSIOLOGY AND INDUSTRY(©University of Dhaka, 2024-04-22) Hasan, Md. MarufCurrently peristaltic motion of non-Newtonian fluid attracts a great consideration from the researchers due to their practical significance in area of physiology and industry. Peristaltic event is a term used in physiology to describe the impending contraction of smooth muscles. A key feature of peristaltic phenomenon is to properly move the digested food against the gravity. In industry, peristaltic pumping phenomena propose a number of useful applications. The blood is circulated via this process in heart-lung machine during surgery. Motivated by these, there are medical devices that mimic peristaltic to meet particular daily needs. Consequently, peristaltic action of non- Newtonian fluid in different channels is the central focus of the researchers. It is interesting to note that very few of them pay their consideration to the channel’s geometry because of the difficulty of the governing equations. On other hand, the majority of fluid problems are non-linear by nature. A few of these problems have exact solutions. Many researchers have focused their attention recently on examining the solutions to both linear and nonlinear partial differential equations using a variety of techniques. However, a number of approaches have certain drawbacks. Thus one must rely on either an analytic solution or a numerical solution due to the extremely non-linear nature of the governing equations of motion. Even if an accurate analytical solution could be found, it would probably be quite difficult. So finding numerical and analytic solutions to flow models are extremely desired and a natural process for the researchers. The aim of this research is to examine the analytic and numerical solution of the new problems of incompressible non- Newtonian Casson fluid under various fluid conditions. The considered Casson fluid moves through porous channel with the influences of different physical parameters. Mathematical formulas such as the law of conservation, law of momentum are applied on the new problems. The physical problem is presented mathematically by a set of main equations with related boundary conditions and converted them into dimensionless form, which are solved numerically. MATLAB solver bvp4c is used for numerical simulation. The obtained findings in this study are compared with previously published solutions in literature for validation purpose. These solutions are in strong agreement with one another. The findings of this study can be used as a theoretical reference in related areas.Item Relationship between Ethics and Good Governance in HRM Practices: A Case of some Selected Bangladeshi Private Organizations(Centre for Research on Islamic Management and Business, 2014-06) Hasan, Md. Maruf; Sultana, NahidThis paper examines the impacts of unethical behavior in organization through a multi-layered study of the six selected Bangladeshi organizations. By examining contemporary cases relating to ethics, we clarify the types of common unethical behavior happening within the organizations. We also describe the ethical view in Islam while working in any organization. How human resource management can be guided by ethics is the major concern of the study. The time period of studied matter is three years specifically in the year of 2011 to 2013. Observational and interview methods are used for collecting data. It is a vital attribute that require a lot of concentration in crucial the assembly ofa roaring mobile application. Presently mobile applications for the deaf has exaggerated staggeringly with the rise of the usage of mobile phones. However, usability analysis model that most closely fits the evaluation for mobile application for the deaf is quite very general. Usability of the mobile application for the deaf is incredibly restricted that creates the analysis more difficult. In our document we tend to report our expertise in tracing four Usability Evaluation methods. Heuristic Evaluation, Cognitive Walkthrough, Claims Analysis and CASSM. The previous metrics of usability that was supported, fitted and applied in Bangladeshi Government Mobile Application.We also got that HE and CW solely fixity back view of interface style, While CASSM and CA will facilitate establish strong theoretical niceties. This study will help mobile application developers and evaluators in evaluating and developing mobile application for the deaf.
