My work as an IS auditor at ACNABIN Chartered Accountants, a firm with eight esteemed partners, is summarized in this report. With a detailed description of the tasks, skills, and information I acquired and applied throughout my internship, this report offers a comprehensive summary of the job I accomplished.
Modelling of consolidation behaviour of soil

Routine laboratory consolidation test, though simple in procedure, involves a long time (about a week) and hence cost. Also, the determination of parameters for estimation of settlement and rate of settlement is tedious. After involving such time and effort, the amount of total settlement and rate of settlement estimated from test data vary significantly from field observations. It was, therefore, envisaged that use of the one-dimensional test with a pressure increment ratio larger than that used in conventional tests (thereby reducing the load steps, and time) together with a suitable mathematical model may produce the settlement information of a soil layer for a lesser time and effort. The model will also facilitate implementation of computational methods such as finite element method in settlement estimation. With these objectives, a simple mathematical function is proposed that can represent the void ratio - time relations (or dial reading - time relations) observed in a one dimensional consolidation test .on clay soil. The model consists of three parameters. The role and physical significance of each parameter is explained. To verify the effectiveness of the model, consolidation tests were performed on specimens from soil cakes reconstituted in the laboratory under two different vertical pressures (50 kPa and 100 kPa). Tests were performed with pressure increment ratios of 2 (used in conventional tests) and 4. The nature and amount of variation of the model parameters were determined from these tests. Comparison of e-t, e-cr' relations from test data and that back calculated using the model showed reasonably good agreement testifying the effectiveness of the model. It was observed that there is virtually no effect of using a pressure increment ratio of 4 instead 2 on the model parameters. Therefore, it is suggested that routine consolidation tests may be performed with a larger pressure increment ratio, especially in cases where the range of pressure to be investigated is large, together with the model without sacrificing accuracy. The values of Cv at intermediate pressure levels can be obtained from the model.
Online classes for higher education in Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic: a perception-based study

The main purpose of this paper is to find out the perception of different respondents’ groups related to the factors that influence the online learning for higher education in Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey through a structured questionnaire was conducted to gather qualitative information from the 250 respondents (university students, faculty members and administrative officers) in Bangladesh. A questionnaire has been used for collecting primary data, which have been selected using the justification method under the non-probability sampling technique. The findings of this study indicated that majority of the respondents told that online classes could be more challenging than the traditional classroom because of the technological constraints, digital divide, insufficient data pack to access the material to attend the class, poor connectivity, lack of device, poor learning environment, technophobia, delayed response and incapability of the teacher to handle efficiently the material and communication machineries. Due to time restrictions and the COVID-19 pandemic, the study was constrained only to Dhaka region in Bangladesh. The outcomes of the work can be supportive to the governing bodies and proprietors of the higher schooling organizations who are forecasting to adopt online education as a consistent movement in the future. At last, based on outcomes, investigators have presented some recommendations that can be taken into consideration at policy level. The study would help universities to comply with the pressing need to impart experiential learning through online education during the COVID-19 pandemic
Room mapping and automatic vacuum cleaner robot

As robots enter the human environment and come in contact with inexperienced users, they need to be able to interact with users in a multi-modal fashion keyboard and mouse is no longer acceptable as the only input modalities. Humans should be able to communicate with robots using methods as similar as possible to the concise, rich, and diverse means they use to communicate with one another. The framework is demonstrated by interactively controlling and programming a vacuum-cleaning robot. The demonstrations are used to exemplify the interactive programming and the plan recognition aspect of the research. The key contributions of this thesis are the introduction and implementation of the novel programming approach. It is expected to improve significantly the state-of-the-art in robot programming and interactive personal robotics
Strategic growth & business model evolution of Soowgood in Bangladesh

SoowGood is a new online healthcare platform in Bangladesh that connects patients and doctors for online consultations. It also helps with things like managing prescriptions, delivering medications, and arranging lab testing. We will closely examine how SoowGood got started, how it is expanding, and what kind of business model it is building to work and grow in a market as complex and competitive as Bangladesh in this case study. The goal is not just to copy SoowGood's success, but also to figure out what problems it is having right now and what actions it can take to expand in a way that lasts over time. SoowGood has had a fantastic time so far. The website started off with a very basic goal: to help busy people, those who are away from the clinic, or people who prefer to get treatment online. When people didn't want to go to the hospital because of COVID-19, it let them talk to doctors over the phone. It later introduced new services, such as delivering medicine to people's homes, giving corporate wellness packages, and hiring more doctors and diagnostic partners. But things haven't always gone smoothly. Many doctors stopped using the system because they didn't have any patients. Some people aren't ready to trust medical information they find online.The program still relies heavily on city dwellers, and most people who live in the country don't know about it or can't use it. Some of the main problems are trust, awareness, and access. The report examines these issues with examples, compares SoowGood to other online health services in Bangladesh, and assesses its current status. This case study does more than just tell you what has been done; it also gives you ideas on what to do next. It has some big effects. These include employing a rural health ambassador program to get more people in rural regions to use the app, giving tiered subscription packages to make it more affordable and encourage loyalty, and training doctors, among other things. It even gives SoowGood some easy ideas for how to create trust, such as making privacy policies easier to read and improving customer service. This report's goal is to provide readers a realistic, inside-out look at what it will take to build a health-tech platform in Bangladesh. The paper is written from a strategic point of view, not just to tell the story of SoowGood's experience, but also to question and improve it in the hopes of finding smart, workable ways to move forward.
