    Analysis of Effect of Conductor Line on Folded Type Meander-Line Antenna

    In this paper folded type meander line antennas have been proposed. Performance of three different meander line antennas have been investigated, first one without conductor line and the other two with conductor line. First antenna is a triple band resonator while second antenna with conductor line becomes tetra band resonator and the last design is a dual band resonator but with higher return loss, -35 dB at 1.86 GHz. CST_STUDIO_2012 is being used for simulation. Far-field response, efficiency, gain, directivity and reflection coefficients have been chosen as factors for performance analysis and it has been successfully illustrated here that insertion of conductor line makes the antenna a better resonator and also improves the return loss. The proposed antennas in this paper work are able to operate in the LTE700, LTE/GSM1800, PCS/ UMTS/ WLAN/ LTE2400, L band (1-2 GHz) and S band (2-4 GHz).

    Design and Implementation of Temperature & Relative Humidity Control System for Poultry Farm

    This paper presents a control strategy for automatic temperature and relative humidity control systems for poultry farms. This work aims to build a simple but automated smart Poultry Farm device that will be suitable for a poultry farm environment for controlling temperature and relative humidity. Moreover, for better understanding of inside environment of the poultry farms survey analysis (for the maximum temperature, minimum temperature and relative humidity) had done for 12 months of 2019 on different areas/places of 100 poultry farms of Bangladesh. Additionally, the process of controlling the temperature and relative humidity control uses a microcontroller (ATmega328p) that receives data from the sensor AM2302 and controls suitable temperature and humidity by using a logic algorithm code. Poultry needs a standard temperature and humidity which have been set within 20 °C-25 °C and 60%-80% respectively. Nevertheless, an LCD display (16*2) with Matrix keypad (4*4) has been included in the device by which farmers can easily set, operate and check the required temperature and humidity inside the poultry farms. Finally, sensor testing and device administration results are documented to achieve the success of the research.

    Design of a wireless protection scheme for smart-grid-based industrial systems

    This paper illustrates the design of an alternative current measuring method which can be used for the protection of electrical machines, especially generators and motors, used in oil and gas industry. A comparison is made between the use of Hall effect sensors and current transformers for fault current detection. Also, different wireless communication methods that can be used in accordance with Hall effect sensors for detecting faulty conditions are discussed. Three case studies are presented: first, a simple ANACOM kit is used to send and receive amplitude modulated (AM) signal. Next, a test circuit is constructed that transmits and receives Frequency Modulated (FM) signal. Improvements are observed in terms of range and reliability. Finally, a digital transmission and reception test circuit is built and it is observed to provide the best results in comparison to the other two arrangements.

    Design of Multiband Meander-Line Antennas and Their Performance Analysis

    In this paper, multiband meander-line antennas have been proposed which are of folded type meander–line antennas. The simulation performed in this paper used CST_STUDIO_2012. Far-field response, efficiency, gain, directivity and reflection coefficients have been chosen as performance factors for measuring antenna quality. Total four models have been represented in this paper starting from single band resonator then dual band resonator then triple band resonator and then tetra band resonator. All antennas with different lengths, turn number as well as fold number but having same geometrical spacing and width have been designed and simulated. In the very first design, the antenna is a single band resonator but after increasing the turn number, using strip lines and increasing the length of a specific turn, the number of resonating frequency increases. This paper work represents the continuous improvement in the performance of the antenna in terms of resonance, reflection coefficient, gain and directivity. This paper work represents total four types of folded meander-line antennas that are able to operate in the LTE/GSM1800, PCS/ UMTS/ WLAN/ LTE2400, L band (1-2 GHz) and S band (2-4 GHz).

    Design Proposal of an Automatic Smart MultiInsect (Mosquito) Killing System

    The aim of this work is to create an automatic and low-cost mosquito killing device which will help to save human life from mosquito bite which is responsible for creating non-invented medicine diseases. This paper illustrates an idea of simple but smart mosquito catching window system. Due to the electrocution between the mesh structures of the device, mosquitoes as well as insects will be instantly killed when they will try to make their way through the window. Compared to available mosquito killing bat in the market, this system will hold up very low voltage that is enough to kill mosquito and concurrently not harmful for human being. This process uses microcontroller, ATmega328p that receives data from the adapter and helps to measure the input current and voltage which is displayed in an LCD Display (16*2) by using a logic algorithm code. It also consists of a power supply unit which is mainly used to charge the battery. The controls are made by a mini switch and have one LED power indicator.

    Design prototype of a smart household touch sensitive locker security system based on GSM technology

    This paper illustrates a portable domestic locker security system which is based on GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) technology. A handcrafted low-cost touch sensitive box is designed (using Vero board) for the project which is one of the most attractive features of the system. The system will operate in a way that if there is any unexpected user, tries to touch any portion of the touch sensitive box, a feedback system will be turned on immediately. The feedback system will alert the property holder about the unexpected user by sending SMS (Short Message Service) and turning on an alarm system. The alarm system will be turned off only if it receives a specific SMS from the property holder. This system not only has the advantages of high sensitivity, small size and lightweight, but also it is easy to use. This system is featured with an uncomplicated design, convenient use, strong flexibility and reliable performance. Since the circuit in the system is simple and easy to contrivance, the system can be installed without any difficulty at homes & offices. It will also provide a good security in the vehicles and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) booths.

    Designing and Performance Analysis of a Small-Scale Power Generating System Utilizing Rail Locomotives

    This paper illustrates a project work which approaches the design of a power generating system that will utilize the speed of a train. The circuit diagram of the project work has been first drawn on Fritzing based on the proposed idea and the whole system hardware is designed. The successful generated output power is displayed on LCD display. In the proposed model, A SD card has been used whose function is to store the generated parameters at a certain time interval. The prime aim of the aforementioned project is to fulfill the requirements of electrical appliances like fan, bulb etc. on a train coach using the generated power. To employ the kinetic energy of the air to generate power by implementing suitable arrangements in train is the goal of the considered project. The success of the project depicts that the implementation of this technology will certainly help in reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and thus contributes positively in terms of global warming.

    Designing of a Low Cost Handy Cooling System

    This paper illustrates an automatic temperature controlling system using Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor as a temperature sensor. The aim of this work is to create a comfortable & low-cost cooling device which can save energy through the use of temperature sensor and thus helps to promote the efficiency. This system is specially designed for controlling temperature of devices like laptop, desktop etc. This process uses a relay as a switch which helps to turn on a 5V DC motor which regulates the fan if temperature of the thermistor exceeds a pre-set level. Cost of the entire system has been analysed in the paper and it is verified that the system is low-priced compared to other existing cooling system. So, this design can be used mainly as a low-cost cooling device.

    Designing of Microcontroller Based Home Appliances Governor Circuits

    Automatic control of home appliances is highly demanded in all over the world. In this energy saving era, energy can be saved without hampering our day to day busy scheduled life if it gets utilization of automated remote load controlled devices. This paper illustrates wireless home appliances controlling circuit using microcontroller. This method proposes design of a system that will be able to control apparatus remotely and will likewise empower home security against interruption without property holder. Remote speed controller of a load is being incorporated in the system which is one of the most attractive features of the system. An accessible security system through an app is also merged with the speed controller which provides influential security to the loads from unexpected users. Finally, power and speed calculations are done to complete the research.

    Performance Analysis of Multi-Input DC-DC Boost Converter for Hybrid Power System

    This paper demonstrates a multiple input DC-DC boost converter for hybrid renewable energy system. The hybrid topology operates receiving power from renewable energy sources of PV cell and wind turbine. The converter has been simulated using PROTEUS 8. Based on simulation hardware system has been designed and operated for DC sources. After successful operation of the converter, same design has used for renewable energy sources (PV cell and wind turbine) and it reveals the effectiveness of converter by obtaining increased voltage level with almost zero ripples

    Perturbation in meander behaviour of a subtropical river in India under variable natural and anthropogenic controls

    Meander morphology is perturbed worldwide by human interventions to a certain extent in the Anthropocene. To this end, the present study aims to investigate the meander behaviour, including its deformations, of the Kopai River, a subtropical river in India in the last 50 years (1970–2020). A total of 394 loops (134 loops each in 1970 and 1995 and 126 loops in 2020) were selected for the four river reaches – the upper, middle-upper, middle-lower, and lower reaches. The meandering behaviour was assessed using Mueller's sinuosity index (SI), meander form index, meander shape index, and radius/wavelength ratio. The study found a higher meandering tendency in the lower and upper reaches controlled by fluvial hydraulics, and topographic factors. However, the middle reaches were comparatively stable. The meander loops along the middle reaches regular meander is the dominant meander type, however, more than 50% of meander loops for the lower reaches were intense meander types. Positive extensions were the predominant type of meander deformation in all the reaches. However, few negative extensions are found in the middle-upper and lower reaches, while irregular changes and cut-offs were only found in the lower reach. Thus, the upper and lower reaches exhibited more natural controls dotted with regular meander progression. The middle reaches characterized by higher Bouguer anomaly and steep basement gradient led to channel confinement. Besides, profuse sand mining and the brick kiln industries are perturbing the meander beahviour through human channel straightening, dwarfing the meander evolution in the middle reaches.

    Prevalence of Overweight and Obesity in South Asian Countries

    Childhood obesity is a global health problem with immediate and long-term health consequences. The increasing trend of childhood overweight & obesity has emerged as a major public health threat. The study reviewed relevant articles on prevalence of childhood overweight and obesity in South Asia during 2008 to 2017. The objective of this study was to assess the prevalence of childhood overweight & obesity in South Asia. Literature search was done in accessible logical open areas, for example, Google Scholar, PubMed, Bio-Med central and Science Hub from the most recent ten years. Extra investigations were likewise recognized through cross-references and sites of authority organizations. Twenty primary studies were included in the final review, of which were conducted in schools settings in the South Asian countries; Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka. The prevalence of overweight and obesity showed wide variations in the included studies. The study showed that the prevalence rate is higher in Bangladesh, India & Pakistan and relatively lower in Bhutan, Nepal & Sri Lanka. This survey indicated expanding patterns in the commonness of overweight and weight rates among children in South Asia. This investigation underlines on the earnest need to advance solid ways of life among children to handle childhood overweight and corpulence.

    Proposing a System Model for Safe Device Charging

    Energy delivery of an electrical device performs a first-rate role in every digital gadget as it controls, regulates and distributes DC strength for the gadget. In this paper a variable DC energy source is being used with an external safety circuit. The Dc source is designed by Arduino with pulse width modulation (PWM) based manipulate circuit along with MOSFET for switching operation. The principle characteristic of our project work is to adjust the output voltage by means of PWM manipulation and by controlling the PWM ripple voltage. In order to do that the pulse width is varying with the modifications inside the DC output voltage stage which will change the pulse width that will arise an output voltage. As a result, the output voltage may be numerous respectively with the versions of load.

    Proposing a Technique of a Low Cost Automatic Cooling and Exhaust System for Old Age Home Kitchen

    This paper illustrates an automatic temperature control and exhaust system, specially designed for the kitchen. Microcontroller (AT mega 328p) is being used that operates the system with the help of temperature sensor LM35 and by using a temperature measurement code. Temperature measurement coding is done using Arduino software, loaded through Arduino UNO board into AT mega 328p. Finally, a 4- channel relay module is used that works as a switch to turn on two different motors employed for two different purposes (temperature control and exhaust system). This system is specially designed for the kitchen of old age home with a mind of keeping the rate cheaper compared to other existing systems available in the market. Cost of the entire system has been analyzed in the paper and it is verified that the system is lowpriced compared to other existing systems. So, this design can be used mainly in the kitchen as a low-cost cooling and exhaust device.

    This paper proposes a method to select the boost inductor and capacitor for effective battery charging. Mainly the boost inductor of the converter is designed, taking the charging current into account. Satisfactory results are seen and the inductor`s current is continuous as required by the converter. Finally, power and efficiency calculations are done to complete the research.

    Small Scale Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine

    In this work, the performance analysis of a designed small scale horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) has been presented and optimized by varying span length and chord length. The HAWT blades are shaped to generate maximum power from the wind at minimum cost. The blades are designed by using QBlade software and simulated in blade element method (BEM). The values of tip speed ratio and power coefficient have been obtained as 6 and 0.45 respectively. The power is 230 W and wind speed is 6 m/s at a span length 0.9 m. By increasing the span length up to 1.3 m, the power is obtained as 430 W and wind speed is taken as 6 m/s. The power is 170 Wand wind speed is 6 m/s at a chord length 0.15 m. By increasing the chord length up to 0.21 m the power is obtained as 250 W and wind speed is taken as 6 m/s. Thus a better performance of the designed HAWT has been achieved by varying span length and chord length.

    Taxonomic approach and potential anthropic indices to understanding cross-sectional morphology and landscape modification of a tropical river Basin, India

    During the Anthropocene, human modifications to fluvial landscapes have become a common aspect of their progress and development. The primary objective of this research is to delve into the human-induced alterations on fluvial landscapes at both the channel and basin scales. For channel scale investigation, we classify the channel cross-sections in terms of human interventions and relate them with the potential anthropic (or anthropogenic) geomorphology in the Kopai River basin (KRB) in India. A total of 35 cross-sections (CS) were surveyed at an interval of ~ 3 km from source to mouth, and a perceptional survey was executed among randomly selected 960 respondents in the seven community development blocks. The CS are classified into natural (alluvial and bedrock) and anthropogenic (monatogenic – mining-influenced, traffic- road-stream crossings, hydrogenic-influenced by hydrological projects like dams, and agrogenic- agriculture-influenced) categories following Sźabo’s (1971) taxonomic approach. The statistical difference between natural and anthropic cross-sections is measured using seven hydromorphological characteristics. Basin scale investigation adopting Nir’s index (1983) of potential anthropic geomorphology (IPAG) from 1961 to 2021 depicts that the IPAG is progressively decreasing with time, although the reality is different. We propose to extend the basic notion of the IPAG by incorporating more relevant parameters.
