Item Development of application based health monitoring system using GSM module(BRAC University, 2016) Tasniem, Anika; Jamil, Nura; Khan, Tabassum; Chakrabarty, Dr. AmitabhaOngoing patient health checking framework with remote sensor system using delicate registering is an innovative concept that has been already introduced in developed country in recent years. Body Area network is implemented by using compact sensors that gather and assess body parameter and development. The device gives few assistant capacities that satisfy the living request of patients. What’s more it uses different sort of sensors to obtain ceaseless key signs of patients counting heart rate and body temperature. Transmission of these patients’ records over web is done by GSM module to web server where database is stored. Moreover, it will produce a prediction on patient’s wellbeing condition based on summation of all records of patient. Generated report will be shown on web application. With the assistance of web application both doctor and patient can have real time communication. The prototype has been effectively implemented where data has been obtained and shown. The purpose to build the prototype is to help people in developing countries as they still lack access to medical technology and proper diagnosis and treatment in proper time.Item Predictive location generation using machine learning approach(BRAC University, 8/21/2017) Hasan, S.A.M Khaled; Nahian, Shariar Al; Islam, Sakibul; Chakrabarty, Dr. AmitabhaPredicting future locations by analyzing past data is not new. Giants like Google, Yahoo or Amazon all use their own machine learning algorithms to generate it but these companies use the data for business purposes as a result our personal and valuable data get sacrificed for their sake. In our project, Predictive Location Generation Using Machine learning, we have developed a mobile application which can automatically locate present position of users using GPS and then based on these collected data it can generate meaningful predictive future locations using machine learning algorithm. The application then trades these generated locations to extract information (such as traffic updates, crime report of certain regions, addresses of important places, product offers and so on) from third party servers using Internet but the key part of this procedure would be not to disclose the user’s identity to the third party.Item Urban healthcare facilities using mobile application(BRAC University, 12/14/2016) Anni, Anika Tahasin; Barua, Debalina; Chakrabarty, Dr. AmitabhaBangladesh is the ninth largest country in terms of the size of its population in the world. It has made remarkable progress to achieve the millennium development goals to improve the quality of life of its citizens. On its approach to push ahead with the advancement objectives, the nation has gained amazing ground in the medicinal services area as well. However, Bangladesh still has to elevate its path to advancement, one of which can be done by offering its citizens the type of healthcare services pursued by people of most of the developing countries. In this context, technology can be a key empowering agent to accomplish Bangladesh its dream and the uplifting news is so far the country is utilizing different technological advancements, such as, mobile communication, internet, etc., in the best possible way. The application is not just confined to locating registered doctors, the functions also include locating pharmacy, diagnostics center, health clinic and hospital. Basically, this mobile application can be used as a one stop service point for general public in order to locate desired mobile services. The data that we will be incorporating into our mobile based application will be authentic so that it will give us the actual location of the desired medical entity. HealthCare is a mobile application that will help people to know all the nearby health facilities and it has a vital role to help people during medical emergencies. The application will also set an appointment with the doctor so saving people from the hassle of calling and taking an appointment.
