Item Adsorption of Co on Pt3, Pd3, Pd Doped Pt2 and Pt Doped Pd3 Clusters(Daffodil International University, 23-07-01) Asaduzzaman, Md.; Ghosh, Apu Kumar; Alam, Md. KhorshedThe adsorption of carbon monoxide (CO) on nanoscale clusters is a topic of significant interest for catalytic and gas sensing applications. Quantum mechanical density functional theory (DFT) and molecular mechanics (MM) simulations were employed to investigate the interactions between carbon monoxide (CO) and Pt3, Pd3, Pd-doped Pt2, and Pt-doped Pd2 clusters. The aim of this research was to study the adsorption of CO on these clusters and understand the resulting changes in geometric and electronic properties. Our methodology involved performing DFT calculations to determine the adsorption energies, examining the bond lengths and binding energies of CO, and analyzing the electronic properties of the clusters. The key findings of our study revealed favorable adsorption of CO on all clusters, with notable modifications in bond lengths and binding energies. Among the clusters, Pt-doped Pd2 exhibited the highest adsorption energy, suggesting its potential as an efficient catalyst for CO removal and oxidation. Furthermore, the electronic properties of the clusters provided insights into their suitability for CO sensing applications. Overall, our research contributes to the understanding of CO adsorption behavior on nanoscale clusters and highlights the significance of Pt-doped Pd2 in CO-related applications, such as catalysis and gas sensing.Item An Analytical and Numerical Study on Fixed Point Theorems(University of Rajshahi, 2011) Asaduzzaman, Md.; Ali, M. ZulfikarFixed point theory has fascinated hundreds of researchers since 1922 with the celebrated Banach's fixed point theorem. There exists a vast literature on the topic and this is a very active field of research at present. Let X be a set and let T be a mapping from X intoX. A fixed point of Tis an element x EX such thatT(x) = x. In mathematics, a fixed-point theorem is a result saying that a function T will have at least one fixed point, under some conditions on T that can be stated in general terms. In other words, a fixed-point theorem is a theorem that asserts that every function that satisfies some given property must have a fixed point. Fixed point theorems give the conditions under which maps (single or multivalued) have solutions. Fixed point theory is a beautiful mixture, of analysis, topology, and geometry. If we have an equation whose explicit solution is not so easy to find, in that case we rewrite the equation in the form T(x) = x to find its solution by applying any suitable fixed-point theorem. This method can be applied not only to numerical equations but also to equations involving vectors or functions. In particular, fixed-point theorems are often used to prove the existence of solutions to differential equations. Fixed point theorems also play a fundamental role in demonstrating the existence of solutions to a wide variety of problems arising in social sciences, biology, chemistry, economics, engineering, physics and mathematics. For instance, the Banach [ 18, 40], Brouwer [ 18, 49] and Kakutani [ 18] fixed point theorems have been among the most-used tools in economics and game theory. Over the last 50 years the theory of fixed points has been revealed as a very powerful and important tool in the study of nonlinear phenomena.Item An Web Based Application Smart Farming System(Daffodil International University, 2019-12-05) Asaduzzaman, Md.This project "Smart Farming System" is an online-based web application. With the "Smart Farming System" project, farmers of Bangladesh will get an idea about agriculture very easily. Learn about the various disease of agriculture and can solve basic problems very easily. To get support in various agricultural activities, you can easily contact the consultant through the "Smart Farming System" from any part of Bangladesh. There are some services like this but they are not enough. The smart farming system is different from everyone else. Users can easily visit the "Smart Farming System" site by simply typing the name of the website. And if you want to get any kind of help, the user will have to register with the user giving some information and at the bottom of the registration form, there are two options. And the profit of the "smart farming system" will come mainly from the doctor. This system is flexible, simple, and user-friendly for everyone. We built it using languages like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript. In addition, the PHP framework is used to manage the MySQL database. This profile will be shown to donors who are looking for someone to donate something. Only information is exchanged by them. The donors are able to post/see reviews about other user's profiles. The purpose of this app is to help the people of the society and create a sense of solidarity through information and communication technology. There have teacher’s requirement for creating class routine and semester wise course offer distribution for teacher’s. We can update and view all this field in admin panel. After that we made a class routine using all of this field. In another panel is user panel. In this part we get all of information about course, teacher’s and rooms. In this panel we can see all this information & routine. There is no update, add and delete option in this panel. Both of this panel, we get routine separate by days, teacher’s and sections wise. There have day routine, section routine and teacher routine. We create this application for front-end using html5, css3, JavaScript and for back-end using php. This thesis gathered information on the cost-effectiveness of the protection systems from several garment factories in Bangladesh. A four‐step methodology has been used in an attempt to adopt a systemic approach to constructing a fire safety management system (FSMS) for an offshore platform which although the approach is general nowadays, it has been applied to the case of the RMG industry. Significant changes have been made in fire safety management in the readymade garments factories over the past few years.However, fire safety still tends to be analyzed in isolation through all fire loss is affect to the garment industry. Fire loss may be seen as a set of ‘systematic’ failures, not as a result of only one reason. This study proposes an FSMS for the ready-madegarment industry. It is hoped that this approach will lead not only to more effective management of fire safety but also to themore effective management of safety, health and the environment for any organizations.This study discussed the problems encountered by the management andproposed a way for quantitative evaluation of fire risk and to identified the cost-effectiveness of undertaking fire safety measures for the RMG sector of Bangladesh.Item Development of sustain release matrix tablet of ranolazine based on methocel K4M CR: In vitro drug release and kinetic approach(© 2011 Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science, 2011-10) Asaduzzaman, Md.; Rahman, Md. AshrafulIn this study an attempt was made to design and evaluate oral sustained release matrix tablets of ranolazine using Methocel K4M CR as the retardant polymer. Tablets were prepared by conventional wet granulation technique. Tablets were evaluated for parameters such as weight variation, hardness, friability and drug content. All the formulations showed compliance with pharmacopieal standards. In vitro release studies were performed using USP type II apparatus (paddle method) in 900 mL of 0.1N HCl at 50 rpm for 8 hours. The release kinetics was analyzed using the zero-order, first order, Higuchi, Hixson-Crowell and Korsmeyer-Peppas equations to explore and explain the mechanism of drug release from the matrix tablets. In vitro release studies revealed that percent drug release decreased with increase of polymer loading. Based on the dissolution data comparison with innovator brand F-5 formulation (16% Methocel K4M CR w/w of drug) was elected as the best formulation. The drug release profile of the best formulation was well controlled and uniform throughout the dissolution studies. The drug release of optimized formulation follows the Higuchi kinetic model (R2 = 0.99) and the mechanism is found to be non-Fickian/anomalous according to Korsmeyer-Peppas equation. Hasinur RahmanChildbearing is generally considered as an important and major determinant of large family size and rapid population growth, particularly in the countries where family planning is not widely practiced. Bearing more children produces substantial risks to the health of the mothers and the children. This paper aims to determine the different factors of childbearing among the ever-married women in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Demographic Health Survey data 1999-2000 and 2004 have been used for this study. A generalized linear model with Poisson link function is used to determine the key socio-economic and demographic factors of childbearing in Bangladesh. Mother's age group, educational level, types of place of residence, age at first marriage, division, having radio etc. are found to be significantly associated with bearing more children in Bangladesh.Item Feature Selection and Classification of Spinal Abnormalities to Detect Low Back Pain Disorder Using Machine Learning Approaches(1st International Conference on Advances in Science, Engineering and Robotics Technology, IEEE, 2019-05-05) Islam, Md. Shariful; Asaduzzaman, Md.; Rahman, Mohammad MasudurWith the advent of computational intelligence, the analysis of medical data using machine learning techniques benefits accurate classification of different health diseases and disorders. However, disorganization and variability of data make the job difficult. This paper has streamlined an ensemble learning approach for classification of low back pain disorder based on spinal abnormality data of 310 patients with 12 features. To overwhelm the misleading effect of inappropriate attributes, most influential features are identified using evolutionary feature elimination method. Experiments are performed in both way- with or without feature filtering. The basic machine learning algorithms used in the work: Logistic regression, Decision Tree, Naive Bayes, and in addition to the Random Forest ensemble learning method. Random Forest classifier, as expected, is recorded to exhibit the best accuracy of 94% over other classifiers.Item FLORISTIC COMPOSITION AND SPECIES DIVERSITY OF H.S.T.U. CAMPUS, DINAJPUR(HAJEE MOHAMMAD DANESH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, DINAJPUR., 2009-05) Asaduzzaman, Md.; Prof. T. M. T. IqbalA taxonomic survey work was carried out during March, 2009 to explore the richness of the plant resources of H.S.T.U. Campus, Dinajpur. The aims of the survey was to prepare an inventory of those incalculable possessions according to their 6 main utilities in a users’ friendly data access system, to have tips for sensible management of those assets and finally, to suggest means for their further perfection. The appraisal visibly pinpoints that there were in total, 5,134 plant specimens of 382 species, 270 genera and 84 families. The floras had an assorted assemblage of just 13 gymnosperms but 369 (84 monocots + 285 dicots) angiosperms species. A sum of 285 species of 200 genera from 66 families was dicots but only 84 species, 64 genera and 14 families were monocots. Again, the campus hosted 215, 76, 32, 31, 18 and 10 species of ornamental, fruit, timber and forest, plantation, medicinal, and spice species, respectively. In gymnosperms, thuja had the highest number (314) of plants; in dicots, mahogany was the dominating species (490) while in monocots, betel nut (283) was the leading one. In general, the topmost numbers of plants were: mahogany (490) followed by jackfruit (408), mango (355), thuja (314), weeping fir (300), betel nut (283), cocoanut (270), neem (251), bead tree (188) and litchi (167). However, some species were represented by only one sample, e.g. baobab, allspice, kapok, camphor, agor, taikor, African tulip, ritha etc. The Premise also accommodated some rare species- agor, allspice, anjan, African tulip, baobab, brownia, canon ball tree, camphor, kapok, ritha, thaikor, sour sop etc. Hence, plant luxuries regarding taxonomic aspects were quite amazing. Yet, anthropogenic plant formations were found as some species, e.g. mango, jackfruit, mahogany, neem, bead tree etc. were built-in almost each year in the plantation programs instead of wild as well as other diversified species. Bereaved families faced a harsh reality, unable to perform the full rituals for their loved ones due to the pandemic outbreak. This study explores the adjustments and modifications made in cultural rituals and how they affected bereaved families and close relatives. Objective This study aims to explore how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the observance of death rituals in Bangladesh and the effects on bereaved families and close relatives. Methods This study employed a qualitative approach and gathered data through 3 key informant interviews (KIIs) and 58 in-depth interviews (IDIs) conducted between December 2020 and January 2021. Purposive sampling was employed to recruit participants from three distinct groups: (1) individuals who had experienced the death of a relative during the pandemic, (2) caregivers who provided support to those experiencing loss, and (3) volunteers actively involved with funeral and burial services. This selection strategy ensured a diverse range of perspectives on the impact of the pandemic on death rituals. Results The pandemic forced people to observe funerals or make significant sacrifices to traditional practices reluctantly. Disruptions to long-standing traditions and widespread emotional toll were as various segments of society struggled to find closure in saying goodbye to loved ones. Due to the severity of the pandemic, people became heavily reliant on priests, crematorium workers, and funeral volunteers for mortuary services. Both Hindu and Muslim religions discouraged family gatherings during post-burial rituals. The fear of contracting the virus further limited bereaved families’ ability to bid farewell to their deceased loved ones properly. Conclusion This research highlights the profound impact of the pandemic on death rituals and the resulting emotional distress for bereaved families in Bangladesh. The findings are pivotal in guiding the development of concrete policies for future pandemic preparedness and response. Such policies might encompass guidelines for safe and culturally sensitive mortuary practices, psychosocial support and grief counseling initiatives for affected communities, and strategies to mitigate religious anxieties during public health emergencies.Item Implementation of Smart Indoor Agriculture System and Predictive Analysis(Communications in Computer and Information Science, Springer, 2019-07-20) Uddin, Md. The main challenges of a smart agriculture system are the integration of these sensors and tying the sensor data to the analytics driving automation and response activities. When integrated, the use of data analytics can reduce the overall cost of agriculture and contribute to higher production from the same amount of area through precise control of water, fertilizer and light. Finally, the paper gives an idea of a prediction formula to find the value of the sensors which will reduce the cost of the sensorItem In vitro Regeneration and GUS Gene Transformation in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)(University of Rajshahi, 2004) Asaduzzaman, Md.; Miah, M. A. Bari; Joarder, 0. I.Rice is the most important cereal crop in Bangladesh and it was the first attempt in Bangladesh to transform rice plant with target genes. As a new intervention deserves enormous efforts to develop the optimum conditions in order to accomplish effective transformation. Scutellum, leaf base, mesocotyl and root explants of six rice genotypes viz. BR-22, BR-23, BRR.I dhan-29, BRR.I dhan-30, BRR.I dhan-28 and BRRI dhan-31 were cultured in N6, LS and MS basal media containing different concentrations and combinations of 2,4-D to induce callus. 2,4-D plays an important role in callus induction of plant tissue and 2.0 mg/12,4-D was the most suitable for callus induction in rice. A wide range of variation in callus induction was marked in this experiment with respect to their explants and treated media. Three varieties BRR.I dhan-30, BRR.I dhan-28 and BRR.I dhan-31 proved more competent ones to induce callus with all of their four explants. On the contrary, the varieties BR-22, BR-23 and BRR.I dhan-29 failed to induce callus in all their explants tissue. In respect of explants, the scutellum proved more efficient and gave highest callus formation (77%) followed by root (61 %). In respect of nutritional strength, N6 media gave highest percentage of callus formation followed by LS medium. In respect of genotypic performance, BRRI dhan-30 was found as the most efficient variety producing 68% callus induction followed by BRR.I dhan-28 (62%). Calli derived from individual explant were subjected to regeneration media and their comparative performances were evaluated. In the comparative study BRR.I dhan-30 proved to be the best variety giving 88% regeneration frequency from somatic embryogenesis. Three explants; scutellum, leaf base and mesocotyl were used as the target tissue explants and scutellum derived Calli gave highest regeneration (88%) followed by mesocotyl (32%). The embryogenic Calli were treated to three regeneration media supplemented with different phytohormones and MS medium containing sorbitol (3%) was found to be the best medium for regeneration in tested rice varieties. In meristem culture the highest regeneration frequency was observed in excised meristem isolated from four days old seedlings. Variable range of regeneration response was observed in different rice varieties. The varieties BRRI dhan-28 and BRRI dhan-30 gave the highest percentage of regeneration 65% and 56% respectively from meristem culture. Sabbir; Azad, A.K.M. Abdul MalekPLD and CPLD has been extensively used for custom made circuits. That is why they are perfect for designing traffic light control systems. Our thesis represents the performance comparison of a traffic light control system designed on GAL (Generic Array Logic) using Programmable Logic Device (PLD) and on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) using Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD). For our PLD implementation, we have considered GAL (16V8) chips, which can be reprogrammed and erased. For the CPLD implementation, we have considered FPGA (Altera's Flex 10k family's EPF10K10TC144-4) chip, which is a 144 pin SRAM. The CPLD design was developed using the CPLD programming software MAX PLUS2 v 9.23. The traffic light controller consists of traffic signals (Red, Yellow/Amber & Green). We have designed the traffic controller using both CPLD and PLD. Then we have taken the real time waveform as well as the simulated waveform for different frequencies. The Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO).was used to generate the real time wave from the traffic controllers. The results from the real time waveform clearly illustrates that CPLD has the better performance over the PLD technology. Further more we have designed complex circuits for automated detection of railway crossing and A Five road junction ontrolling Traffic light system.Item Report on industrial attachment at Shasha Denim Ltd.(Daffodil International University, 2016-10-03) Asaduzzaman, Md.This project is on “Study of fabric inspection systems in different RMG Industries in Bangladesh”. This project is based on important characteristics of RMG industry called Fabric Inspection system. Textile Fabric materials are used to prepare different categories and types of Fabric products in the textile industry. In the textile industry, fabric faults or defects are responsible for nearly 85% of the defects. Manufactures recover only 45-65% of their profit from second or off quality goods. It is very important to detect, to identify and to prevent these defects from reoccurring. There are many kinds of fabric defects found in woven fabric. In the textile industry, inspection is done to assure the fabric‟s quality before any shipments are sent to customers, because defects in fabrics can reduce the price of a product by 45% to 65%. In order to produce quality product a RMG industry must be checked out the fabric defects and quality before processing as it is fulfill the buyer requirement. Many epidemiological models have a Disease Free Equilibrium (DFE) at which the population remains in the absence of disease. The classical Susceptible Infected Removed (SIR) models are very essential as conceptual models like as predator-prey and competing species models in ecology. Some Susceptible Infected (SI) and Susceptible Infected Susceptible (SIS) type models have been considered in this study. There are two major types of control strategies available to limit the spread of infectious diseases, viz. pharmaceutical interventions (drugs, vaccines, etc.), and non-pharmaceutical interventions (social distancing, quarantine, etc.). Vaccination is important for the elimination of infectious diseases as an effective preventive strategy. Vaccination of susceptible individual has been introduced through Susceptible Infected Removed Susceptible (SIRS) models. Effective vaccines have been used successfully to control smallpox, polio and measles. Some models have been presented in this study for the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases to analyze the stability of various equilibrium points mathematically. Some Susceptible Vaccinated Infected Susceptible (SVIS) and Susceptible Vaccinated Infected (SVI) models have been introduced in this study by including a new compartment ‘V’ for vaccinated individual in SIS and SI type models respectively. The above models have various kinds of parameters. Mainly the stability is analyzed by bifurcation curves in the SVIS models. The basic reproductive number (R0) can be calculated due to DFE in the SVI model. Some controlling methods have been given by changing the parameters in the SVI model through R0.
