    A New Model for Real-Time Intrusion Prevention Systems for DDoS Attacks

    Nowadays the internet has made a momentous impact on our daily life but we are not safe enough in the internet world. Last two decades, network security scholars have shown several innovative and practical solutions to save us from network and internet attacks. Among all the internet threats denial-of-service (DoS) and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks are considered the most notorious and devastating ones. These attacks are one of the main threats that are a serious security problem for today’s internet. To exhaust the resources of target networks, these attacks are launched by generating a huge amount of network traffic. This study proposes a new model for real-time intrusion prevention systems for DDoS attacks. It is true that creative attackers are continuously developing effective attacking tools and techniques to impose maximum damage due to the rapid technological advancement. The proposed Efficient Detection System of Network Intrusion (EDSONI) model makes use of both the detection and prevention of this malicious activity properly. CICIDS2017 dataset has been applied to this proposed system to experiment with the detection and prevention performance.

    Automatic Document Summarization of Unilingual Documents: A Review

    Automatic summarization of documents is the creation of short and accurate summary of a source document. Due to the abundance of information on various platforms of our social life, shortening of that information is greatly needed for us. Thus, document summarization automatically provides short, precise and informative abstract of a large document. In this era of information, as the necessity of document summarization is increasing continuously, the techniques of summarizing document(s) are also evolved throughout the years. In this paper, a review on summarization of unilingual documents has been presented. A detailed description of some prominent approaches for document summarization and their performances are also analyzed in this paper.

    Impact of Lifestyle on Career: A Review

    In recent years, the impact of lifestyle on career has grown in significance. The way a person lives has a significant impact on different aspects of life and this has been a topic of interest among many scholars and practitioners alike. The type of lifestyle a person considers, as well as their potential for success in their career, can be influenced by their lifestyle choices. This article has reviewed more than fifty papers based on various lifestyle choices. The review emphasizes the relationship between lifestyle choices and career outcomes, implying that living a healthy lifestyle can lead to increased work productivity and career success. This study also aims to shed light on the major lifestyle factors and how these factors influence various aspects of life such as work-ability, mental and physical health, recreation, travel, sleep, smoking, diet, and life.

    NIPSA Intrusion Classification

    With the extensive growth of the Internet, network security has become more important. The growing proportion of network intrusions has impacted network security more than ever. The number of network attacks is significantly increasing. One major method of defence against these attacks is the intrusion detection and prevention system. For an in-depth understanding of this system, a conceptual framework for intrusion classification must be developed. This classification framework could be used to develop the algorithm for a Network-based Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) and a Network-based Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS). Up until this point, a structured framework or standard for classifying network intrusion has limitations to identify the intrusion. To comprehend the threats posed by intrusion, this paper proposes a new way for classifying network intrusion efficiently. Experimental results indicate that the proposed NIPSA intrusion classification can identify intrusion with an overall rate of accuracy of 99.42%, a 0.3% FP rate, and a 0.6% FN rate. The NIPSA intrusion classification can help organizations to implement Network-Based Intrusion Detection and Prevention System for better performance in the future. © School of Engineering, Taylor's University.
