Item A Survey on Prevalence, Complication & Treatment of Postpartum Depression at Ishwardi Health Complex, Pabna(Daffodil International University, 2024-07-06) Akter, SumyaBackground: Postpartum depression (PPD) is a significant public health issue affecting mothers globally, impacting maternal and child health. Understanding the prevalence, complications, and treatment approaches is essential for developing effective interventions. Objective: This study aims to investigate the prevalence of postpartum depression, associated complications, and the treatment modalities available and utilized by mothers at Ishwardi Health Complex in Pabna. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among postpartum women attending the Ishwardi Health Complex, Pabna. Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing demographic variables. Results: Among the participants 60% of respondents stated that they were quite knowledgeable about postpartum depression. This poll revealed that 40% of respondents said they had been impacted by postpartum depression, whereas the majority of respondents (60%) said they had not been affected. In this investigation, majority of the responders 40% replied that they have been felt their symptoms is less than 2 weeks. 26% of respondents described experiencing crying too much. Furthermore, 15% of participants indicated suffering from depressed mood or severe mood swings, while 21% stated they had experienced Difficulty bonding with your baby. In this survey, 35% participants retorted that prolonged depression is the most common complication associated with untreated PPD. Among the all participants 40% replied that delay in diagnosis is the key factor that contribute to complications in PPD. Moreover, 25. 45% responders replied that doctor has been suggested Medication (antidepressants) for managing PPD. Conferring to this education, the majority of participants (89%) indicated that they were highly content with the existing treatment procedures for postpartum depression. Conclusion: There is a critical need for improved screening, increased awareness, and accessible treatment options to address this public health concern effectively.Item Ensemble Based Machine Learning Model for Early Detection of Mother's Delivery Mode(IEEE, 2023-04-19) Hasan, Mahmudul; Zobair, Md Jakaria; Akter, Sumya; Ashef, Mahir; Akter, Nazrin; Sadia, Nahid BinteThe mother's mode of delivery greatly impacts the relationship between the newborn baby and the mother, as well as the mother's and baby's health. Currently, the cesarean rate is increasing at an alarming rate. The inability to predict the mother's health status and mode of delivery are mainly responsible for this situation. Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree, Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting Classifier(GBC), Logistic Regression, Gaussian Naive Bayes, Stochastic Gradient Descent, CatBoost (CB), Adaptive Boosting (AB), Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGB) are used to predict the mother's mode of delivery. This study also proposed an ensemble machine learning algorithm that stacked the SVC, XGB, and RF together and named the ensemble SVXGBRF. To preprocess the dataset, we use a pipeline that basic preprocessing techniques, data balancing and feature selection. Our proposed SVXGBRF classifiers show 95.52% accuracy, 96% precision, recall, f1 score, and 99% AUC score. SVXGBRF shows its superiority, where most models show an accuracy of less than 90% except RF, GBC, CB, and AB. Eventually, this research could be utilized to develop a decision-support system for reducing the number of cesarean sections by trying to extract insights from complex data patterns.Item Present instance of “Hydrocephalus” in a semi-urban area Ishwardi, Pabna(Daffodil International University, 22-11-13) Akter, SumyaThe abnormal expansion of the cerebral ventricles results from the common CSF physiology problem known as hydrocephalus. Infants commonly develop progressive macrocephaly, although signs of intracranial hypertension are more common in kids over the age of two. Models that include consider aberrant cerebral pulsations, brain compliance, and newly identified water-transport systems are replacing the conventional hypothesis of hydrocephalus, which attributes it to an obstruction of the CSF's bulk flow. The causes of hydrocephalus are numerous. Congenital hydrocephalus, which most often involves aqueduct stenosis, has been linked to genetic variables that regulate brain growth and development. The following are some typical research study objectives: Diagnosing illnesses and other health issues. Reduce the number of persons who get sick and stop sickness from developing or returning. Increase the number of persons who are cured or improve survival rates by treating the sickness. I created this project to raise awareness of this illness. The majority of rural residents believe that hydrocephalus is a serious illness with no known cure. Many individuals will be concerned about the management and treatment of hydrocephalus as a result of my project. I conducted an online poll using a questionnaire, getting responses from roughly 100 people. I then compiled the data and created a pie chart to show the results. Some of the persons I spoke with had heard of hydrocephalus and had at least one encounter with a patient who had it. However, they were unaware of how to cure this condition. I believe they learned some crucial information about this ailment from my survey.
