A Study of job satisfaction of the employees of a Startup
(BRAC University, 2021) Akter, Sanjida; Khan, Tanzin; Haq, Mahmudul
This internship report is an observation of the company Sales Manager PVT LTD, in order to extract a behavioural pattern of the employees of a startup to better understand their viewpoint of what is expected to be satisfactory to them. The objective of my report is to fully understand the behavioral pattern of the employees of a startup and know what is considered as satisfactory to them and what steps typically a startup takes to retain employees. To extract the information, I had conducted primary research and secondary research on the topic and stitched all my findings together with my knowledge of Human Resource Management. The sample for my primary research are the employees of the company, although all the individuals portrayed a different view of the situation at hand, but the underlying morale turned out to be somewhat along the same spectrum for the majority of them. Along with these findings, I have gathered previously found materials on the topic of 'job satisfaction of the employees of a startup' also what is considered satisfactory behaviour of an organization in general and tried to incorporate them both in this research paper.

Assessing Rural Women's Satisfaction with Public Services in Bangladesh: Case Study of Provision of Public Services by Civil Society Organization.
(Scopus, 2024) Uddin, Mohammed Nasir; Akter, Sanjida; Mahzabin, ffat Ara; Muchemi, Julius Githinji; Akter, Sharmin
Poverty continues to ravage about 10 percent of the world population. Efforts to eradicate poverty in all its forms remain elusive. The historical decline in global poverty rate experienced from 10.1% in 2015 to 8.6% in 2018 and even further down to 8.3% in 2019 reverses to 9.2% in 2019 due to COVID-19 pandemic. Although the poverty rate is projected to decrease to 8.6% in 2022, efforts to lower it further are confounded by the emerging global uncertainties including the Ukraine-Russia war, the global economic crisis, and catastrophes of earthquakes, and adverse effects of climate change. To address poverty in a country, the government and other development actors, including civil society, must establish national definitions, set targets, and conduct assessments on how the poor access and are satisfied with public services. This necessitates an understanding of the poor's socioeconomic circumstances, as well as the factors that influence service providers' ability to meet their expectations. This study was primarily undertaken to determine the satisfaction level of rural women with public services provided through civil society programs within four villages in the northern parts of Bangladesh. It also explores what factors influence the satisfaction level. Findings indicated that highest proportion of the respondents (53%) had a high level of satisfaction. In addition, the findings show that respondents' knowledge of civil society organization services and duration of involvement in civil society organizations, as well as family size, annual family income, and training, were significantly correlated with women's satisfaction with the services provided by civil society organizations. Furthermore, age, family size, annual income, and farm size are important socioeconomic factors that can influence women's satisfaction with public services provided by civil society organizations. It concludes that the selected civil society organization lacks the necessary personnel to provide public services and assess program success. The implication is that for civil societies to successfully supplement the government's public services, they must examine the existing gaps and barriers that need to be addressed in providing the services.

Electroencephalography based brain controlled grasp and lift
(BRAC University, 2021-09) Chakraborty, Pritam; Akter, Sanjida; Hasin, Bariyat; Ahmed, Syeda Faria; Parvez, Mohammad Zavid; Rahman, Rafeed
The complexities and challenges of performing daily fundamental activities like getting dressed, answering a phone call, opening and closing the door, writing something down, or even consuming foods for patients who have lost their functionality of hands and arms due to neurological disability or amputations, is something anyone could never imagine. Our research paper serves to show the importance of restoring patients’ ability to do daily activities to increase their mobility and standard of living. In this paper, we have proposed an innovative, resilient and dynamic implementation of a grasp and lift technology that would accumulate brain signals in the form of waves to operate prosthetic limbs without the help of an external device and wires. We have decided to use Electroencephalography to reactivate the neuromuscular bypass with the help of an EEG device for obtaining brain signals that correspond to specific circumstances from the scalp surface area. We also have established models using Neural Networks that would monitor multimodal sensory activities which include object encounter, grasp, lift-off, replacement from the dataset and assist the users of this technology to operate the prostheses only by incorporating their brain signals. The artistry of the whole procedure incorporates substantial segments like signal acquisition and pre-processing of the signals into data, feature extraction, denoising etc. which later leads us to implement CNN and LSTM models. After implementing the models we obtained the accuracy of 90.11% and 74.44% from the CNN and LSTM model respectively. Throughout the implementation, there will be a differential boost in the accuracy level for each of the models. Therefore, our paper is an evidence of how EEG is considered to be a communication channel between prosthetic devices and the human brain. Furthermore, it intricately reveals the approach of grasp and lift technology through signal acquisition, processing, and implementation based on Electroencephalography.

Improving the investor document process using a digital workflow : an analysis on Shanta asset management
(BRAC University, 2026-01) Akter, Sanjida; Khan, Raad Ryasaat
The investor document processing at Shanta Asset Management Limited (SAML) is analyzed in this internship report in order to determine the existing operational inefficiencies and opportunities in digital transformation. It is the research of the major activity that will be carried out during the process of investor onboarding as the processing of DP-40 forms, document verification, data entry, and record maintenance. Data were gathered using an investigation approach which involved direct observation, staff interviewing, process walkthroughs and review of internal documents and regulatory guidelines. The results demonstrate that the current manual system, which is paper based, is time consuming, susceptible to data entry errors and resource intensive even though it is in line with regulatory requirements. In order to overcome these issues, a simplified digital workflow is suggested, which includes electronic document management, system based data entry and automated audit trail. The paper finds that the slow digitalization can enable the operations to be much more efficient, accurate and compliant and favorable to the sustainable development in the operations of asset management in Bangladesh.

My Experience of Working at the Online Section as an Intern Reporter
(Daffodil International University, 2024-01-10) Akter, Sanjida
I am a student at Daffodil International University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in the Department of Journalism, Media, and Communication. I was expected to complete an internship for an initial period of three months after completing all of my courses. I could have worked directly with digital media. The platform's choice was entirely up to me. After some time, I was given the chance to work for Channel 24, one of the most well-known digital media channels. Channel 24's news-casting has changed with the advent of the Internet. Because digital media has merged with main stream media. For example, news casting is done on various social media including online portal, YouTube, Facebook. They have different readers and audiences. From the beginning, news coverage on television has its own unique characteristics, norms, organizational frameworks, production schedules, and approach to managing crowds and reporting newsworthy events. Every newscast has its own norms and characteristics. I did my entry level position as sub-editor of channel 24 online section. I am at a loss as to how to present a judgment report accurately and attractively to the readers. Also wrote in many news and features. A subeditor needs to be competent in a variety of duties, have lightning-fast problem-solving skills, and, as the saying goes, be a handyman with no special skills. Thereare few reports which were distributed byline with my name Sanjida Akter. Other works have been published as Channel 24 Desk.
