    A comprehensive exploration of human communal media interaction and its evolving impact on psychological health across demographics and time

    This work presents a comprehensive literature review and real-world survey analysis examining the intricate relationship between communal media and psychological concerns within human–computer interaction (HCI). By systematically categorizing research from 1995 to 2023, we observe a significant increase in studies, reflecting the growing recognition of communal media’s impact on psychological well-being. Our review delves into various HCI aspects, including demographic effects, emotional sentiment analysis, online social networking, and communal media use intensity. A real-world survey focusing on TikTok users reveals diverse user perspectives on safety, privacy, and the platform’s impact on creativity and mental health. The data highlights a demographic predominance of young adults aged 16–24, with creativity, leisure, and content discovery being primary engagement motivators. Positive impacts such as creative inspiration and distraction from worries are contrasted with concerns over privacy invasion, harm to underaged users, and addiction. Correlation analysis underscores the complex interplay between user experiences and perceptions. Future research should prioritize enhancing privacy and safety measures, educational campaigns, and in-depth studies on the long-term psychological impacts of TikTok usage. Additionally, exploring platform modifications and conducting longitudinal and cross-platform studies will help create a safer and more engaging social media environment. This work contributes significantly to the expanding HCI body of knowledge, providing a robust foundation for future research to inform policies and interventions promoting positive psychological outcomes in the digital age..

    A Survey on Predicting Player’s Performance and Team Recommendation in Game of Cricket Using Machine Learning

    Machine learning in sports analytics is a hot field in computer science. Using machine learning algorithms, we can predict the outcome of a game or performance of teams or individual players and building new strategies for upcoming competitions. Cricket is one of the foremost popular games in the world. Choosing the right player is one of the most challenging work for all kinds of sport and no exception in cricket. In the field of machine learning, several algorithms are used for prediction and classifications. Machine learning algorithms like linear regression, support vector machine, random forest, and naive Bayes with linear and polynomial kernel showed good results to predict the runs scored by a batsman and runs given by a bowler. In this work, we explored the techniques that have been applied to solve the challenges in cricket.

    Anomaly Prediction in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems via Rayleigh Distribution with Integrated Internet of Sensing Things (IoST) Monitoring and Dynamic Sun-Tracking

    The proliferation of solar panel installations presents significant societal and environmental advantages. However, many panels are situated in remote or inaccessible locations, like rooftops or vast desert expanses. Moreover, monitoring individual panel performance in large-scale systems poses a logistical challenge. Addressing this issue necessitates an efficient surveillance system leveraging wide area networks. This paper introduces an Internet of Sensing Things (IoST)-based monitoring system integrated with sun-tracking capabilities for solar panels. Cutting-edge sensors and microcontrollers collect real-time data and securely store it in a cloud-based server infrastructure, enabling global accessibility and comprehensive analysis for future optimization. Innovative techniques are proposed to maximize power generation from sunlight radiation, achieved through continuous panel alignment with the sun’s position throughout the day. A solar tracking mechanism, utilizing light-dependent sensors and servo motors, dynamically adjusts panel orientation based on the sun’s angle of elevation and direction. This research contributes to the advancement of efficient and sustainable solar energy systems. Integrating state-of-the-art technologies ensures reliability and effectiveness, paving the way for enhanced performance and the widespread adoption of solar energy. Additionally, the paper explores anomaly prediction using Rayleigh distribution, offering insights into potential irregularities in solar panel performance.

    Comorbidity Effects of Mitochondrial Dysfunction to the Progression of Neurological Disorders

    Mitochondrial-dysfunction is linked to various neurological diseases. To understand these complications we developed a quantitative framework to explore how mitochondrial-dysfunction influences the progression of Alzheimer's, Parkin-son's, Huntington's, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy. We sought insights from the gene profiles of mitochondrial and associated neurological disorders by constructing gene-disease networks. We also employed KEGG pathways and Gene Ontology to explore functional enrichment, and protein-protein interaction networks to identify the protein groups shared between these diseases. These identified potential biomarkers were verified using gold-benchmark databases. Our identified signature genes and pathways are useful to identify co-morbidity outcomes for the mitochondrial dysfunction.

    COVID-19 Effects on Private Tuition in Bangladesh and Internet of Things Based Support System

    Private tutoring is an important matter in Bangladesh. Many students take private tutor for various study. Many teachers and senior students become private tutor to get some extra income or primary income. During the covid-19 pandemic time this profession and teaching status are changed in a great extent. This work makes a survey about private tuition among thousands of students and teachers from Dhaka city in Bangladesh. This work analyzed the collected data in multiple aspects and suggested some support system with the Internet of Things and Information Technology. The proposed IoT based system can help the students and teachers with remote monitoring. With the IoT based system the tutor and student both can check each other's physical condition from a remote place without affecting them with virus. The collected data shows a clear concept about the condition of private tuition and the IoT based solution worked successfully. The outcome of the system showed good results.

    DRLAS: Digital Record Keeping in Land Administration System Relying on Blockchain

    On every developed or developing world, the Land Administration System (LAS) is a salient infrastructure. Both the digital (traditional database system) and the manual methods are applied in the LAS (paper-based documentations). Both of these systems provide an authority with monopoly power that can increase unethical conduct in land administration. Again, while the Blockchain technology was initially used to maintain a financial ledger, it is possible to expand the use of this technology to incorporate any decentralized computing structures, including the automated record keeping and management framework. Recent studies have found that the new and largely untested applications of Blockchain technology in land administration remain. In this work, the implementation of a blockchain-based system is proposed to build a System for Land Administration. In the Ethereum blockchain platform, the proposed framework was simulated and showed that the framework contributed to developing a stable, secure, effective and efficient system of land administration.

    IoT and ML Based Approach for Highway Monitoring and Streetlamp Controlling

    Excessive speed and violating traffic rules may cause dangerous road accident. Some reports show that around 3700 people die every day due to road accident. Controlling vehicle speed and proper automated street lighting system may mitigate this problem. This work implements an automated internet of things and machine learning based system to control streetlamps with vehicle speed tracking. The developed machine learning model is capable to guesstimate the speed of the vehicle on the highway and report if there is any excessive speed. The automated streetlamp is integrated with the system that can provide proper illumination considering the environment condition. The proposed system showed good results after practical implementation.

    IoT Based Low-Cost Posture and Bluetooth Controlled Robot for Disabled and Virus Affected People

    IoT-based robots can help people to a great extent. This work results in a low-cost posture recognizer robot that can detect posture signs from a disabled or virus-affected person and move accordingly. The robot can take images with the Raspberry Pi camera and process the image to identify the posture with our designed algorithm. In addition, it can also take instructions via Bluetooth from smartphone apps. The robot can move 360 degrees depending on the input posture or Bluetooth. This system can assist disabled people who can move a few organs only. Moreover, this system can assist virus-affected persons as they can instruct the robot without touching it. Finally, the robot can collect data from a distant place and send it to a cloud server without spreading the virus.

    Disabled people and Virus affected patients can be helped through Internet of Things and Robotic systems in this modern era. Recently the whole world is suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic. The virus affected and disabled people are helpless because caregivers, doctors and other people are afraid of the contagious virus. This work will result in an IOT based Robotic agent which will be able to help disabled and virus affected people with low cost systems. The robotic agent will be able to recognize the patient's Gesture and follow instructions through it with 360-degree movement. Without image processing the system is made with MPU 6050 Accelerometer Gyroscope sensor for Gesture Recognition. Radio Frequency communication was used to make the system wireless.

    The modern era is Robotic and IOT era. Robots are reducing human works. Robots are broadly using in Restaurants, Farming, Hospitals and various fields now a days. This work results a low cost IOT Robot that can work like a waiter in a restaurant. The developed robot can follow line and avoid obstacles. The robot can take and serve orders to the customers. It reads RFID from tables to recognize particular orders from customers. The collected data will be saved in a cloud database. Taken orders by robots will automatically go to the chefs. Each order bill will also be generated on the robot. The robot will be able to take the bills also. The full system is made in very low cost than previously made systems. It will not increase unemployment problem too.

    IoT-Based Low-Cost Automated Irrigation System for Smart Farming

    In this research, we present a low-cost intelligent irrigation system for farming. Nowadays, farming is shifted to automated and remote monitoring and management systems integrated with Cloud, Fog, and IoT networks. Our developed prototype can measure water level, temperature, and humidity with a hardware sensor and micro-controller unit. We use different sensors to take different readings and values to decide to turn on or off the motor. We provide essential algorithm and flowchart to explain the system. Our IoT-application-based automated developed system makes an automated system for irrigation and provides notification via mobile SMS to inform us of the irrigation field’s details remotely.

    Low-Cost Smartphone-Controlled Remote Sensing IoT Robot

    Nowadays, the Internet of things is spread everywhere. We can do a lot of tough work with IoT and robotics which are very difficult for people to do. This work presents a system that is an IoT-based robot, which can collect data from remote abstruse places and that place may be virus affected. The robot can be controlled with and smartphone via Bluetooth communication. The robot is capable of sending the data to a cloud server. From the cloud server, the collected data can be monitored from all over the world. An app is used to control the movement of the robot and another app has been build to monitor the data with smartphones. This works may help the virus-affected people.

    A good face detection system should have the ability to identify objects with varying degrees of illumination and orientation. It should also be able to respond to all the possible variations in the image. The image of the face depends on the relative camera face pose such as the nose and one eye. The appearance of a face is directly influenced by the facial expression of a person and partially occluded by objects around it. One of the most important and necessary conditions for face recognition is to exclude the background of reliable face classification techniques. However, the face can appear in complex backgrounds and different positions. The face recognition system can mistake some areas of the background for faces. This paper solves some face recognition problems including segmenting, extracting and identifying facial features that are thought to face from the background.

    Self-powered IoT-Based Design for Multi-purpose Smart Poultry Farm

    The purpose of the present work is to make an IoT-based smart poultry farm system. In this work, the power supply is developed using renewable energy mainly with solar energy and nano-hydro. This IoT-based module helps to develop the system’s productivity to ensure farm’s constant healthy condition. The proposed system collects several types of sensor data from the farm, such as temperature, humidity, toxic gas, water level, and moisture. Then the overall conditions will be controlled and be kept proper level with the developed system automatically. This system stores all the data in the central database for further analysis and getting knowledge from them also gives notifications. Optimal values for the power and health condition are obtained through the stored data. It helps to predict future conditions too. The electrical devices, doors, and dustbins of the farm can be controlled via IoT systems through mobile phones and online platforms from remote locations and from anywhere in the world with Internet connectivity.

    According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics 2011, almost 8 lac people are physically challenged. Among them, about 1.5 lac are from urban areas and the rest of the people from rural areas. Lots of challenged people need a wheelchair to move. This work results in a Snappy Wheelchair which will help physically challenged persons. It has two different controlling systems: first one joystick control system and second one flex sensor control system. Challenged person who can move only two fingers of their whole body also can control the Snappy Wheelchair with flex sensor control system. If anyone can move hand or single leg, they can control Snappy Wheelchair with joystick control system. If anyone wants twice controlling system at a time, he/she also can do it by pressing controlling switch to change one controlling system to another. Snappy Wheelchair can move forward, forward-left, forward-right, backward, backward-left, and backward-right. Snappy Wheelchair saves 50% among all of those automated and manual control wheelchairs which are available in the market. This is designed for those people with middle-class families who also can buy and it comes with helpful features. This work is already running in real-time environment.
