    Early Prevention and Detection of Cancer Risk for Low Income Country using Data Mining Technology: Bangladesh Perspective

    Dominant population of the world including Bangladesh is suffering from skin, lung, cervical and ovarian cancer because of being unconsciousness about cancer as well as their risk factors. Many of them are illiterate and poor. They cannot go to doctor and do must outdoor activities due to lack of money. Most of them do not even know they have skin cancer. So the ability to predict such cancer with minimum cost plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis process. Therefore use of new information technology data mining and risk prediction systems for cancer research can be more effective for early detection and awareness for future possible chemotherapeutic treatment.     Performance Evaluation of AB Bank Limited

    Banking is a business, which is nm on the confidence and trust of people. This confidence enjoyed by banks and enables the bank to mobilize funds from various sources. The profitability\ of a bank always depends on the efficient management of fund and exploring the genuine avenues in which its resources are invested to produce the maximum income. But everything is finally evaluated by the performance of the bank. This is why performance evaluation of a bank is very crucial in the process of finance. Being a student of finance, my focus was more on performance appraisal of the bank based on the financial indicators. In this report, different indicators of performance evaluation are been described on the basis of which the position of AB bank Ltd can easily be determined. This report contains four chapters. first chapter deals with introduction, origin of the report, objective, scope, methodology and limitation of the study. Second chapter emphasis on the overview and products and services of AB Bank Ltd. Chapter Three analyze the financial performance of the bank. Chapter Four contains problems, suggestion, conclusion and bibliography of the bank.

    Strategic Balancing of Pre-investment Practice and Post-investment Effects of Venture Capitalists (VCs)

    Venture Capitalists (VCs) practice investment activities for financing potential startups with innovative ideas. This paper initially addresses the investment process including five consecutive stages of business plan origination, screening, evaluation, negotiating investment and financing with assistance. Thereafter it identifies the challenges faced by VCs over their investment decision diving into pre and post investment segments taking consideration of potential biases and moral hazard. Finally, to offset such challenges by heuristics, three sophisticated methods-verbal protocol analysis, conjoint analysis, and actuarial decision model are generated for VCs to spur entrepreneurs by profitable investment. The consequences of the study are helpful for VCs in their investment decision-making process to amplify their prosperity rate.

    The analysis of financial performance at Advance Power Electric Company Limited

    Electricity plays a vital role in underpinning the economic development of a country. In the backdrop of Financial Sector Reform Policy streamlining the country’s economy Advance Power Electric Company Limited has achieved great success in all areas of operations with ultimate objective of improving the socio-economic development of the country. In this project I have talked about the financial performance of this independent power producing company. The background of the company, how it was established and where it stands now etc. information are given elaborately. After that, my working experience in AMCL is included, a brief history of the last 3 months’ working experience. In the main project part, firstly I talked about the procedures, the methods and limitations that I had to face during making this report, and then I have worked and analyzed how well they are performing, through calculating growth rates, some important financial ratios and trends of the last 5 years. Lastly I have added some recommendation based on the findings which I think might be useful of they can implement those ideas.
