The report is a three month internship is part of the study of Masters in Development Management and Practice (MDMP). There are mainly three reasons I picked up BRAC as my designated institution. First, I wanted to see actual work on how NGOs operates in the international regions and also how social business helps to support development. As Muhammad Yunus raised the importance of social business, there has been growing number of private sectors embarked in this field. BRAC is functioning in both the sectors and has been able to develop an enterprise along with is development world as an NGO. I found it was a good opportunity for me doing internship at BRAC. Secondly, I wanted to see the real scene of development. I have accumulated knowledge and learning about various theories of development study at MDMP program, but there was no chance to utilize theses knowledge in a workplace and field. Through the internship activity, I want to find out how development studies contribute to poverty alleviation, improvement of food security and the most current trend to climate change. Last reason is that I wanted to understand the essence of how management in organization is run. It was my wish to know how organization works and the manager’s role in helping to expand its organization as being a part of it. I also wanted to know the culture and structure of a Bangladeshi organization operating outside the country. I expected that these values would add a new perspective to my awareness of the issues, and I believe this internship will have a huge positive impact on my life in the future.
An analysis on Job satisfaction in context of Viyellatexgroup LTD.

RMG (Ready Made Garments) plays a vital role in underpinning the economic development of our country. In the backdrop of Financial Sector Reform Policy streamlining the country’s economy, Viyellatex LTD has achieved great success in all areas of operations with ultimate objective of improving the socio-economic development of the country.This study attempts to evaluate job satisfaction of the officers of the Viyellatex LTD. It focuses on the relative importance of job satisfaction factors and their impacts on the overall job satisfaction of officers. It also investigates the impacts of Reward & Recognitions, Customer focus, Organizational culture, Organizational Trust and Team work on the attitudes toward job Satisfaction. The result shows that salary, efficiency in work, fringe supervision, and co-worker relation are the most important factors contributing to job satisfaction. The officers of Viyellatex LTD. have higher levels of job satisfaction and they enjoy better facilities and supportive work environment. Team Work is found as the second most important factor affecting job satisfaction.
Analyzing the procedure of general banking activities of Standard Bank Ltd.

Standard Bank limited is a bank which is incorporated under private sector and was turned into a public limited company on may 11, 1994 under companies act of 1994. This bank started commercial banking operations on June 03, 1994 and since then it has created a positive service oriented banking sector in Bangladesh. This is Because within a short period of time, It has been named as the largest private sector commercial bank with internet banking, locker system, online money transfer and cash transactions with a very short time. The bank provides the commitment to serve the customers within a convenient time and satisfy different customer needs with different banking technologies provided by professional work force and as a result it has positioned itself as a dynamic and professional financial institution in this country. It has 90 Branches across Bangladesh and a principal branch in motijheel in Dhaka where transactions of monetary services goes to all branches and provides customer satisfaction to all regions as well. The major objectives are to provide how banking system works in Account opening section, mail dispatch section, Bill and clearing payment section and cash section and Remittance section through which overall activism of standard bank can be observed. The marketing aspects of standard bank are of 7 P's which are product ,price, place, promotion, people, process and packaging. This bank operates on all districts and regions of Bangladesh with 90 branches operating to serve the customers of different localities and a principal branch in Motijheel to supervise the overall operation of all branches and to provide monetary supply to all banks in order for customers requirement of money. Its motto is to create new technologies in the field of modern banking, which is being regulated by BACH(Bangladesh Automated Clearing House) where millions of taka are transacted to Bangladesh Bank from all branches through the principal branch and also provides ATM and credit card services as well as loan schemes and opening of letter of credits for import-export of various products entering or departing to various overseas destinations through different ports. In short, this bank has created a possible technology to reach out customers throughout Bangladesh in a quick and easy manner.
Anomaly Prediction in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems via Rayleigh Distribution with Integrated Internet of Sensing Things (IoST) Monitoring and Dynamic Sun-Tracking

The proliferation of solar panel installations presents significant societal and environmental advantages. However, many panels are situated in remote or inaccessible locations, like rooftops or vast desert expanses. Moreover, monitoring individual panel performance in large-scale systems poses a logistical challenge. Addressing this issue necessitates an efficient surveillance system leveraging wide area networks. This paper introduces an Internet of Sensing Things (IoST)-based monitoring system integrated with sun-tracking capabilities for solar panels. Cutting-edge sensors and microcontrollers collect real-time data and securely store it in a cloud-based server infrastructure, enabling global accessibility and comprehensive analysis for future optimization. Innovative techniques are proposed to maximize power generation from sunlight radiation, achieved through continuous panel alignment with the sun’s position throughout the day. A solar tracking mechanism, utilizing light-dependent sensors and servo motors, dynamically adjusts panel orientation based on the sun’s angle of elevation and direction. This research contributes to the advancement of efficient and sustainable solar energy systems. Integrating state-of-the-art technologies ensures reliability and effectiveness, paving the way for enhanced performance and the widespread adoption of solar energy. Additionally, the paper explores anomaly prediction using Rayleigh distribution, offering insights into potential irregularities in solar panel performance.

Automated Attendance System Based on Facial Recognition

“AUTOMATED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM BASED ON FACIAL RECOGNITION”, is a Machine Learning project. This project basically without human assistance system that helps take attendance by recognizing trained students' real-time frontal face image. It’s very easy to use and its GUI is very simple and user-friendly anyone can simply use it. We used to build this project with the main library that is OpenCV and Tkinter. This system recognition works very well. This can be used is any educational institution and corporate offices. This system is not time consuming, it’s a relive for who takes the attendance. We tried our level best to make this easy to use and effective.
Bangladesh Police Case Management Android Application and Web Based System Project Report

Bangladesh is well populated country and its crime are almost moderate. Many people singed as police and so much case files are collected by papers. So, Police become Frustrated to manage those new police information, criminal information or so many case files. Huge data are collected daily for those type of data police needs a lot of papers and maintaining those papers are quite difficult. This is also a challenge to take proper steps for each complains. Now a day’s technology makes everything easier. If Bangladesh police use technology, then maybe they can overcome this challenge. For this reason, we are going to develop an application and a responsive web-based system to control all of this data together and maintain those in an easy way. With this mobile application police can read about the criminal and he can also entry criminal details. User can find the nearest user and police station with map. Police can search by Name/NID number if he doubts anyone, if he had a criminal record before, the application will show the details about this criminal. This is the easiest way to find a criminal without searching a lot of papers. On the other hand, the website will store those criminal details. On this website many kinds of features will be available like police can able to update or add their profile and also some rules will be available which we need in our daily life. Website also shows the decrease/increase of crime by the month ratio using bar chart. This project is developed using web-based PHP, JAVA SCRIPT, MYSQL, HTML, CSS. On the other hand, android app developed using XML, Java, OOP.
Biotechnological tools in microbial vitamins and carotenoids production

In recent years, the use of carotenoids and vitamins in the food, flavoring, pharmaceutical, and feed sectors has led to a surge in demand for these nutrients. Nevertheless, these compounds can be expensive and technically challenging to extract and synthesize. Recent decades have seen an increase in the search for natural carotenoids and vitamins due to the increased interest in greener and more sustainable industrial processing. In particular, the microbial production of carotenoids and vitamins offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to chemical synthesis or direct extraction from plants. Consequently, it has been proposed that bioprocessing technologies can boost production yields of carotenoids and vitamins as well as increase the efficiency of currently employed production techniques. Therefore, this chapter gives a summary of the most current biotechnological advancements in the microbial synthesis of carotenoids and vitamins. This chapter aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of the most suitable and cost-effective approaches for the biotechnological synthesis of vitamins and carotenoids.

Misleading and fake news in rapidly increasing online news portals in Bangladesh has become a major concern to both the government and public lately, as a substantial amount of incidents have taken place in different cities due to unwarranted rumors over the last couple of years. However, the overall progress of research and innovation in detecting fake and satire Bangla news is yet unsatisfactory considering the prospects it would bring to the decision-makers of Bangladesh. In this study, we have amalgamated both fake and real Bangla news from quite a pool of online news portals and applied a total of seven prominent machine learning algorithms to identify real and fake Bangla news, proposing a Deep Neural Network (DNN) architecture. Using a total of five evaluation metrics: Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1 score, and AUC, we have discovered that DNN model yields the best result with an accuracy and AUC score of 0.90 respectively while Decision Tree performs the worst.
BRACU BAT GPS based taxi fare meter

The objective of this thesis project is to design technologically advanced fare meter for transportation. In our country all the taxicabs use digital meters which are imported from foreign countries. These meters are easily tampered and taxi drivers can change fare rate with the help of technicians. As a result passengers often pay more than the fare price. Our fare meter works with GPS to provide exact distance and time then calculate fare price according to authorized law to provide passengers the fare payment. Such device assures fare charge and also the charge rate cannot be changed by unauthorized persons thus eradicating taxi fare hacking dispute. Fare increment rate will be controlled by the government and device safety status can be observed by authorized persons online. Our device will also use Smart Fare meter technologies which are modern enough to connect with android phones. It provides options for display travel map on mobile screen, ensures security issues, mobile payment and vehicle
Centralized educational institution management system

Like many other sectors in Bangladesh, education has not been a major beneficiary of the advancement of modern information and communication technology. Till today, the whole education system in this country runs on a severely outdated, largely inconvenient and complex set of procedures and activities. The urge to develop this sector with the use of modern information systems has led this project to explore the possibilities of a functional, sizable yet technologically as well as economically practical centralized education system that will adhere to existing working methods and models but make the whole scenario more connected and unified. This effort tried to utilize the basic Internet based information management and database systems that are widely being used today. While this proposed model did not try to reinvent the whole system for the sake of advancement, it tried to implement mostly the common and existing practices around in a never before tried ground of this country. The project conducts a research, analysis, design and evaluation for developing a web application for centralizing education system for Bangladesh. This will benefit all the stakeholders ranging from the students, teachers, administrative staffs to the different Govt. and non-Govt. organizations to access data from a centralized, real time system leading to faster and better understanding and decision making as well as significant reduction of processes, time consuming activities and costs. In the end, this proposed system may be far from being a complete solution to centralize the education sector of Bangladesh but it will indeed show the vast possibilities and improvements that such a system may provide.

This paper contains my internship experience at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals Singapore, Dhaka office. Here, I have mentioned all the learnings that I have gathered throughout my internship period. Here, I have served as a service marketing intern. We know that Mount Elizabeth Hospitals is a very renowned and well-regarded hospital for its high-quality medical services. I was appointed in its Dhaka office and here we assist to those patients who go long way to Singapore for the treatment in Mount Elizabeth Hospitals. My main activity was to make a good bond with travel agencies, airlines, GSA offices and through this not only we can reach more clients but also provide the actual services which will make their entire process easier. This whole task, from making appointments with those parties to conducting the meeting all by myself increased my people skills which boosted my confidence level for corporate culture. Moreover, during my internship period our regional office organized two grand public health seminars and I had to do many things from inviting our guests to arrange CMH (Combined Military Hospitals), Lakeshore Hotel, United Hospitals etc. These things made me able to accomplish multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Consumer perception about Western banking services in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a third world country with an under developed banking system, particularly in terms of the services and customer care provided by the government run banks. Recently the private banks are trying to imitate the banking structure of the more developed countries, but this attempt is often foiled by inexpert or politically motivated government policies executed by the central bank of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Bank. The outcome is a banking system fostering corruption and illegal monetary activities/laundering etc. by the politically powerful and criminals, while at the same time making the attainment of services or the performance of international transactions difficult for the ordinary citizens, students studying abroad or through distance learning, general customers etc. From few years ago, some Western Banks started come in Bangladesh to expand their business by opening new corporate office. By providing world class customers services they try to satisfy local customers. At present, their most of the customers are rich people and corporate. They offer various try of saving facility for them. But general public do not prefer Western Banks because of huge deposit amount with lower interest rate, loan facility with high interest rate and easy way of account opening. In this report, I try to present overall consumer perception about Western Banking Services in Bangladesh. Why Bangladeshi people accepted Western Banks and their position in Bangladesh are included here as well. I am also included here, sorting of foreign banks and foreign named Bangladeshi banks as well as name & origin both are Bangladeshi. This report provides some recommendation for Western Banking services.

Credit management policy of Mutual Trust Bank Limited

Completion a BBA program requires an internship report and this report was originated for this cause. Based on my three months internship experience in Mutual Trust Bank this report was prepared. This is an orientation report that contains the real life day to day working experience of different tasks in Credit Department of Mutual Trust Bank Limited, Mohammadpur Branch. Mutual Trust Bank Ltd, (MTB) is a pioneer and leading private bank in Bangladesh. To serve the nation Mutual Trust bank performs some activities for their clients like: general banking, loan and advance, capital market operation etc. Bank collects deposit from public and provide it‟s to other business or individual as loan. Bank pays interest to deposit holder and take interest from borrowers. Mutual Trust bank measure all risk components before sanctioning a loan. When all the formalities completed then respective officer disburse the loan. After disburse the loan it is duty of bank to recover the disbursed loan. This report is based on actual information and working procedure practiced in MTB. The overall credit management of MTB has analysed to give a clean idea about the policy of MTB and implementation of that policy by various mechanism and process. The objective of this study is to analyse the credit policy, rules and regulation of credit management and evaluation of the product performance in order to identify the major problems regarding the credit management. The first section of this report consists of an introductory part of this report, which has been developed for the proper execution of the entire report. In the second part, a brief description about the host organization of my internship, Mutual Trust Bank Limited, has been given. In the third part of this report consist of the theoretical aspects. In part four consists of some information about credit, its usefulness and credit management policy of Mutual Trust Bank. The remaining part consist the analysis, findings, recommendations and conclusion. To prepare this report both primary and secondary sources of data have been used. Mutual Trust Bank credit policy is quite lengthy. In year 2013 the non-performing loan is 2.28% which is less than other banks. Banks credit deposit ratio is increasing from previous year. That means bank can invest properly and utilize more funds to maximize their profit. Capital adequacy ratio is in good position that indicates bank has enough capital and efficiency to serve their banking service. Disbursement of loan and advances are increasing year by year. On the basis of findings v it can be recommended for betterment that their loan sanctioning procedure should be less time consuming and monitoring should be stricter.
Customer perception about UCBL's remittance services

As part of my academic requirement and completion of my BBA program, I needed to complete a three month period of Internship program. I chose to do my Internship at United Commercial Bank Ltd. At UCB I was assigned to do my intern in three different sections as general banking, general advance and in foreign division. In General Banking Division I took the opportunity to learn about as much as possible while I was working on the division. United Commercial Bank Limited is one of the prominent banks in Bangladesh. In these years of long journey the bank has achieved trust from people by providing its services. The main motto of the bank is to give best quality and swift service to customers. In these three months of internship period I learn from them how to motivate customers and give quick services. General banking division is a very important department of a bank. Relationships with customers develop from here. In this report I describe the different functions of these three division. Here I also did a research about customer perception about the remittance services of UCBL. The report also gives an idea of different products and offerings.
Design and implementation of a smart agrivoltaic system

The aim of our project is to co generate green energy with crops using the same land to ensure bilateral use of land along with automating the process of irrigation to lessen the effort of farmers and to monitor and the parameter of the soil to ensure the maximum crops. In this project we grow yield under solar panels (simulated using tin sheets) to observe the result of shading effect on crops and while comparing we get a little less yield under the shaded region whose amount was satisfactory. We created this project to help the nation become self-sufficient in the production of electricity and sought to switch to clean energy in order to reduce harmful emissions. The challenge of acquiring this project is the high initial cost. Smart Agrivoltaic systems are a promising technology with the potential to provide many benefits. However, more research and development is needed to overcome some of the challenges associated with this technology.
Design Formulation and Evaluation of Diclofenc 12H Sustained Release Tablets from Methocel K 15 MCR and Methocel K 100 LVCR

The aim of the study is to design, formulation and evaluation of sustained release diclofenac tabler, prepared by direct compression method. The polymers played vital role in the designing of SR product. In this study, six formulations (F-l - F-6) were prepared by using two different hydrophilic polymers Methocel K15M Premium and Methocel KlOO LV CR Premium which were acted as matrix. Physical criteria of formulations (F-l - F-6) like loose bulk density ,O.221±O.02 to O.521±O.Ol), tapped bulk density (O.327±O.02 to O.457±O.03), compressibility mdex (11.15±O.03 to 13.35±O.02\ total porosity (26.19±O.04 to 34.56±0.01), angle of repose 21.53±0.01 to 29.36±O.0l), hardness (3.19±0.01 to 4.35±0.03), friability (0.0 to O.12±0.02), thickness (4.19±0.12 to 4.90±O.03) and weight variation tes1 (1.132±O.02 to 2.903±O.23) were evaluated for the formulations (F-l - F-6). The drug content in the proposed formulations (F-I-F-6) were 47.61%, 47.61%,43.63%,43.63%,43.63%, and 48% respectively and drug-polymer ratios 11 :5,3:4,2:5,4:3,3:3 and 3:5) respectively has directly influenced steady state drug release from the matrix. Formulations (F-3 and F-6 ) showed standard release in vitro than any other in buffer medilLtn for 8 hours using USP reference dissolution apparatus. On the Other hand formulations (F-l, F-2, F-4, and F-5) did not fulfill the official drug release for 8 hours. The drug release profile was extrapolated by zero-order release kinetics, first order release kinetics, Higuchi release kinetics, and Hixson-Crowell release kinetics. This study gives idea on how the release pattern of granules and tablets altered upon the changing of polymer ratIo .
Designing and Developing of an Android Application for Tree Diseases (Gardian)

This project is titled “Designing and developing an android application for tree diseases (Gardian)”. We tried to develop an android application that will help to treatment tree diseases and be able to give a solution for that problem. This service will be available 24 hours through this application. Users can access various information about their trees, able to discuss anytime about their tree’s diseases with other necessary things for trees and get tips for the tree. We also included an online chat system for the users to discuss with us for their tree diseases. We tried to make the user interface very user-friendly so that the user can easily access this app without any hesitation. Any person who has a smartphone can use this application by login with the phone number. For the first time login, users need to register with their name, phone number and email. In this case, every user must give their information correctly. If an admin sees any activity of a user that violates the terms and conditions, the admin can disable that user. To control the app (Gardian) perfectly some relational features are also built for the admin and users. Every one of them has a different role to control this app. Tree diseases specialized doctors and some pharmacies will be registered by the admin. The medicine seller will know about the product and orders are placed by the users. We also have a plan to improve the features and facilities more.
