Item Comparison among different migration paths for cellular deployment in Bangladesh in collaboration with grameenphone(Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Board Bazar, Gazipur-1704, Bangladesh, 2012-10-15) Ahmed, Tanjir; Mosleh, Md. Mukib; Ibrahim, TouheedThe thesis work is a collaboration between Islamic University of Technology and the leading cellular operator of Bangladesh, Grameenphone Ltd. (Telenor) and aims to provide a thorough technological analysis and business case comparison for different migration paths to the next generation technology for the operator. There has been a tremendous growth in service quality and competition among the cellular operators and a continuous demand for network up gradation to a better and efficient cellular technology. Worldwide 3G networks roll out began since 2000 to cater the ever increasing data demand for mobile broadband solution. But unfortunately in Bangladesh, due to regulatory issues, 3G technology couldn’t have been implemented till now. After so many years, The Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has finished all the required ground works and is expected to arrange a spectrum frequency auction in Q1 of 2013 where in total 5 concessions will be allocated in 2.1 Ghz band, 10 MHz each. Each concession will be a technology neutral one. All the cellular operators of the country are expected to bid on that auction including Grameenphone. Technology neutrality allows the operator to choose and deploy the technology best suited for their business. Till now (October 2012), the next generation technology LTE has been successfully rolled out in 105 networks. So, whether to deploy 3G or go for the next generation technology LTE bypassing 3G/UMTS remains a question any operator, in this case Grameenphone. This thesis tries to answer this question in accordance with Bangladesh’s cellular market perspective taking into considerations the technological aspects as well as a cost revenue analysis done by data provided by Grameenphone Ltd. for both migration paths- 3G (UMTS/HSPA) and LTE.Item Machine learning based multi-variate MBB-user growth prediction and worst-cell clustering in cellular network(BRAC University, 2024-02) Ahmed, Tanjir; Arefin, Mohammad ShamsulThe thesis will analyze mean user number of cellular networks based on maximum user, data volume and cell availability from a KPI report generated from OSS server. Firstly, we will collect KPI data from OSS server of specific area where large number of cellular users taking service from network and then conduct data cleansing and data splitting. Finally, we will analyze the data with multiple variable regression and support vector machine (SVM) analysis to predict user number. We will also perform K-means clustering method to find the worst cells to improve the network performance and user experience. We will do the analysis with most popular and latest python which boasts the feature of pure object-oriented programming, platform independent, concise and very elegant language. So, we will call the corresponding library function to predict the user number and worst cells clustering which will help a telecom network operator to plan, design an effective and optimized network and also help to improve user experience as well. Moreover, this analysis will help to make cluster plan, and understand user behavior in a specific area.Item Online Advertisement of Demand(Daffodil International University, 2018-05) Islam, Taizul; Ahmed, Tanjir; Ray, KaushikThis project is on "Online Advertisement on Demand". This is an android based application which needs an android device to run and this application is a community platform there have four features those are Land, Tutor, Flat and To-Let. All the features are found by the people daily through newspaper, website and also in the wall to wall by physically. This application is more user friendly and so that user can easily find out the features what they need by their smart phone. In the development of this application the most essential elements were computer, an android device and an android application development tool. The development of this application is described in the project report. Using this application user will also get lot of facilities. After development session of this application we have tested it by different user and found it to be a well build application which works perfectly.
